Came here for the happy hour oyster deal - nice spot with good atmosphere and friendly staff. The oysters themselves were nothing to go crazy for, but at a deal they were worth it. If you're looking for good prices and having oysters for the aesthetic of it, a great spot to go!

WHO KNEW!!!???!!!! My Yelp friend(s), in particular Daniel C's review made me select this Establishment. Here is my story:Friends visiting from Los Angeles and I are looking for a place to eat, in Waikiki no less. My visiting guest from Los Angeles is a restaurant owner himself so I had to be judicious in making a selection as they left that choice to me. OK the oysters got me! And they were absolutely delicious. They had Kushi, Kumamoto, Sunseekers and shucks, I forget the 4th one mainly because we didn't try the 4th varietal. My favorite was the Kushi because it was sweet and salty and tiny. The Chilean sea bass and Sirloin steak was also delicious and done to perfection. I am told their clam chowder is their signature dish so we tried that also. The chowder is served two ways and they are in a bread bowl or in a ceramic bowl. They offer 2 sizes but if you're going to get the large regular size, you may as well get it in the bread bowl.Their wine selection is decent BUT very limited in choice. There is a $25 per bottle corkage if you choose to bring your own wine.Space is small; very small but cozy. They are located in the Marine Surf Hotel on the avenue corners of Kuhio and Seaside. There are two entrances; one from the street and one from the hotel lobby area.Fun fact: Owner of this place also owns Aloha Steakhouse (right next door to The Seaside),Goofy, Heavenly, Aloha Table, Nature Waikiki, and YUP! Zigu.Validated parking in the Hyatt Centric Hotel on the opposite side (Seaside) of the street. Open Table Reservations. Walk in's not recommended unless you go early or late. Establishment is small and they did get busy and were crowded at the time we left. I will return... I didn't try any of their poke so that's on my hitlist for my next visit.

If you're looking for a wonderful late lunch on Oahu, I recommend The Seaside. This award-winning restaurant opens promptly at 2pm and was an easy walk from our hotel on Waikiki. We got there a little early before the doors opened. That turned out to be a good idea. There was group already waiting ahead of us. Our server seated us in order of arrival. My husband and I sat at a long table made to look like granite. Even though it appeared to be some sort of composite, the tables and the wooden countertops looked cool and had an organic vibe.We both ordered Blonde beer by the Aloha Beer Company which I thought was delicious. We shared a Seaside Sampler which included 4 shrimps, 4 raw oysters, crab dip with chips and octopus ceviche. It was plenty for two people and awesome. The chef was very efficient. The delicious food came out quickly. The server was super nice and very attentive. She was helpful, offering suggestions. She told us she was happy living in Oahu. She was so upbeat. I can't imagine a better tourism spokesperson. If we had more time, I would have loved to come back. I wanted to try the poke and the shrimp ceviche. In addition to 2pm lunch, The Seaside is also open for dinner.

Eeeks- this was our least favorite meals out of our 25-meal stay... We came for happy hour which is from 2-5I liked pretty much all the wine I had for dinner during my stay in Waikiki except the white wine I got here which was harsh. We got the Seaside sampler which included 4 oysters, 4 shrimp, poke/ceviche and crab dip.I had seen pictures of the dip with taro chips which they don't make anymore. It's served with deep fried wonton chips instead. But the main problem with the dip was it was the consistently of ranch sauce. Last I checked crab dip should be chunky!Oysters were fine I think, I don't eat them frequently enough to taste. Shrimp lacked any flavor. Poke serving was small. Space is super small, with not much ambience. Service was good though. Overall, regretted wasting a meal here.

Great friendly and quick service! I wasn't fond of the dip that came with the chips but I loved the oysters. They have many different oysters to choose from. I recommend trying all of the different oysters. The ceviche was also very good and the cocktail shrimp where jumbo shrimps. Ambience and nice and casual. They have both outdoor and indoor dining. Parking is right across the street where Nordstrom rack is.

Solid little spot for a meal. Was in town for an extended stay and had walked past this place a couple times, and decided to check it out. No wait or any real crowd during lunch on the weekend, but if you want to be extra sure you could make a reservation to lock in some seats.Got the Cioppino, Taro Chips, and Bloody Mary, so lets get to it: The Cioppino was a super generous portion and packed! Good flavor overall and I'd probably get this each visit. The Taro chips with artichoke dip was pretty good! Fresh cut Taro and fried with some in house made artichoke dip. Who doesnt love freshly made chips? Overall solid I'd get it again. The bloody was a standard bloody mary, nothing to write home about but it was good, so no complaints there. Cool little spot worth hitting up if you want to get your oyster / seafood fix in the area without spending an arm and a leg. Theres great value here. Check it out.

The standout dish I would order again is the sampler and my favorite part would be the oysters. They are so so fresh here. The cocktail shrimp were fat and juicy. If you order the sampler, ask to sub the crab dip with guac instead. We over-ordered and were quite full by the time the cioppino came so I recommend either the charcuterie board or the poke sampler if you are a party of 3 sharing, but not both if you plan to order the cioppino. I also ordered a Lilikoi paradise cider on tap and I enjoyed that. The couple behind us ended up leaving to go to Charthouse for oysters because they said $6/oyster is too much. Which is a shame because the restaurant turned away three different couples to save that table for them. So be aware that the oysters are Waikiki-priced and you do need reservations after 6.Service was friendly and attentive. Dog-friendly: I saw a woman bring her pup and the servers came to love on it. I like places that allow dogs. There are four tables that fit 2 people, two tables that fit 3 people, one table that fits 6, and one center table that fits a group of 8-10.Overall, we enjoyed it and we'll be back for beers and oysters!

WOW!! Soooo glad we gave this cute little place a try while on vacation! Not a very large place but it is very modern, open, and inviting. Our server was so nice and checked in the right amount of times to see if we needed more to drink or eat. We started with wine on the happy hour menu. We then ordered a few of each kind of oyster to try, also on the happy hour menu. Each were incredibly fresh and tasty. We also ordered the clam chowder bowl to split. It was a little too much pepper on top for me personally but my fiancé loved it! I wish we lived here so we could come more often but can't wait to come back and eat here again!!

Don't often come into Waikiki, except to dine our usual restaurants, but decided to venture in to try The Seaside after reading about their oyster happy hour.Pros: Responsive...Open Table has no openings, so called and left a voicemail. Todd returned my call before they opened and was able to reserve me a table for 2. Validated parking at Hyatt Centric (navigating the structure is tight...bring your smallest vehicle ), across the street from the restaurant. Food (crab dip and bowl of clam chowder) was tasty, the highlight were the OYSTERS!!! (Sorry, no pics of them shucked because we slurped them down with excitement) Best we've had on island...and got to try Sun Seekers, which we've never heard of! All oysters were fresh, clean tasting, had the salt water brine that adds to the flavor. Margarita was good.Cons: HH menu is limited to oysters, dips, poke, and a few drinks. Ordered the crab dip, and tho the house made chips and dip flavor was good, the dip was too liquid. It was like trying to scoop dressing with a flat chip; however, all the dip lasted for all the chips we had. Chowder (not New England nor Manhattan; own recipe), too, wasn't as thick as I like it. For us, price point was more than we usually pay for HH oyster. At $4 each (compared to $6 non-HH), it was hard to order/eat more than a dozen. Yet, the freshness and oyster variety helped us overlook the cost, and we'll return for the oysters.
