The Ritz-Carlton Residences has been around since '16, and it's considered the first R-C property on O'hau - They were named the best hotel in Waikiki in '24, so kudos to them! This luxury resort has 1-, 2-, 3-, or 4-bedroom suites, in which all feature ocean views, balconies, floor-to-ceiling windows, gourmet kitchens, and spacious living room and bathrooms. If you have a moment, you could also book at their spa, where there are 4 treatment rooms and a relaxation lounge.Food options are pretty plentiful at this resort - you have Quiora, an Italian restaurant; La Vie, a modern French restaurant; Sushi Sho, providing omakase; Dean & Deluca (for Afternoon Tea and getting basics from their market); and, the Island Country Markets, where they have a gift shop, a deli, a bakery, a barista on site, and wines.Staff were friendly and attentive, and the spaces were clean and well-maintained.+suites all have great views+clean+friendly service+dining options on site

This has to be one of the top 5 hotels I have stayed in. The service is excellent, rooms are clean, and location is walkable to shopping. The Ritz-Carlton has stunning views and ample space for a large family. We had 6 people in our party and there was plenty of space for all of us to enjoy our stay. The only minus is that this property is not beach front. They do offer free towels, umbrellas, and a wagon for you to haul all your stuff to the beach (10-15 min walk). The food options within the hotel are good, but pricey. We spent about 300 to 400 per meal for 6. We also made a reservation to Sushi Sho for a date night for 2. For 700 plus dollars, you will get a omakase with chefs preparing sushi in front of you. This meal takes about 2 hours, but is well worth the price for the show and food. I did leave hungry, but had some of the best sushi of my life. Cheers!

Long awaited post! I stayed here for work and upon check in, staff was welcoming & super friendly!!! I loved how the interaction between the staff was such a positive experience for me. The pool upstairs was beautiful, looking outwards to Waikiki and the elevators were super fast! Loved how I can punch in one button before I head in and it takes me up to the desired floor. The beds were super plush, everywhere I looked was clean, the attention to detail was phenomenal. I seriously can't stop talking good about this hotel! Will be returning but with family next time!

Located right on the Main Street in luxury row you have this amazing hotel. The service is obviously next level, with everyone you interact with remembering your name and addressing you by it when you see them the next day. The lobby has the most breathtaking view, being open air with a view of Waikiki and the ocean. If you can I would request the Diamond tower that is their newest tower. The room was phenomenal, every room has an ocean view balcony. Amazing! This is located within steps to the action, which makes needing a car irrelevant if you are just in Waikiki. There was one person that really stood out, Genevieve. She works at the store right past the lobby. My room wasn't ready and I really wanted to hit the diamond head hike, she was nice enough to let me change in the dressing room. I started asking her about where to go for xyz, etc. She was so great, such great recommendations, everything she mentioned was phenomenal. I wish there were more people like that. She is the model of perfect customer service. Give her a promotion, raise, whatever it is, keep her! Amazing pool, and the gym was solid enough to get what I needed. Highly recommend this hotel, if you are in Waikiki, book it! You'll be happy you did!

The hospitable staff and attention to detail is what sets the Ritz apart from all other hotels. At check in they welcomed us with guava juice plus champagne and when we asked for micro usb cord to borrow, they brought out an unopened one and said it was complimentary. I was honestly shocked. Everyone you pass by says hello and even at the pool deck they help set you up with a covering over your beach chair and give you a towel. They also provide water and check in on you. It's something my husband and I were definitely not used to, but we were very impressed. The rooms were extremely clean and had everything you needed. Even sewing kits, mouth wash, tooth brush, tooth paste, it was all very nicely available in the room. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. It's expensive but it was a really lovely experience.

We got a hell of a deal through one of the travel bundling websites (Orbitz or Travelocity or something) last minute. This was one of the best places we've ever stayed. Very conveniently located above an ABC store, and a Dean & Deluca. The adult pool and family pools were really relaxing and nice. The staff was very polite and prompt. Free amenities were a nice touch: free water, free sunscreen poolside, free ice cream from 2-3pm during the "ice cream social." These were very appreciated!

Nice to be back to this fine hotel in Waikiki; the name brand speaks for itself. It is conveniently located close to the entrance to Kalakaua Avenue and many high-end stores. The best part is their friendly and courteous staff who will not hesitate to go the extra miles to welcome guests, especially those returned customers. Thanks to the management. Please keep up the great work!

We typically stay at the Grand Waikikian in the Hilton Village but sadly it was sold out during our quick trip to HNL. I've actually been to this property quite a few times only to dine at Sushi Sho.Arrived and was greeted by the valet team and made our way up to the lobby. We ended up waiting close to 30 mins as there were a bunch of people checking in at the same time including a large party of close to 10-15. Did not notice anyone being offered a welcome drink probably due to the fact that the front desk personnel scrambling to check people in. A cold drink would've been nice as it was a sunny and warm day. The major gripe I had was when I mentioned we had a car and the guy said that it was taken care of, only to see a $52 daily charge upon checking out. Not a huge deal but when someone says it's taken care of, I was expecting to not see a line item for parking.First impression of the room at first glance seemed comfortable and clean. Upon further inspection, you could see that the furnishings were a bit worn. I did appreciate the fact that the property is trying to reduce single use plastic bottles/containers and had filtered water in the room. The kitchenette was ample as we only used the fridge for drinks and the microwave to warm some of our leftovers. The first issue we noticed was with a mildew smell emitting from the washer which sort of dissipated with the 2nd load of laundry we did. Second issue is that if you change the temperature setting of the dryer, a distinct burning smell filled the room. Third issue was with the shower and adjusting the water temp to a certain point slightly past the warm setting which caused the shower head to sputter. Fourth issue for us was with getting in/out of the soaking tub. They do provide a step but even I had a hard time getting in/out. My wife attempted but realized she was too short.Housekeeping was fantastic but ended up asking for more than 2 sets of towels each time they came in to clean. They claim to have a personalized service but felt I was staying at a regular hotel vs. my recent stay at the FS in Lanai. May consider this property in the future but at this price point, I'd rather have a real one bedroom suite at the Grand Islander or Waikikian.
