The Queen's Medical Center Farmer's Market is held on the 1st Wednesday of every month in the Harkness Courtyard area from about 9am until 1pm. Look for the white tents in 2 rows that are surrounded by rectangular hedges. The vendors can change at any time. Some of the vendors I've seen includes Aloha Bakehouse (home-made baked goods, breads with fillings https://alohabakehouseandcafe.com/), Bistro Blends (truffle infused, gourmet olive oils and balsamic vinegars https://www.instagram.com/balsamichawaii/?hl=en), Da Manju Lady (Manju, jello mochi candy https://www.instagram.com/da_manjulady/), Mana Sandwiches (made with BRUG Bakery bread, premium heavy cream, 100% fresh fruits and loca sourced ingredients https://www.manasandwiches.com/), Nabeya Maido (signature MicrowavaBowls https://www.nabeyamaidohawaii.com/), Ohana Fresh Produce (variety of Asian vegetables, tropical fruits, herbs, and cut fruit), Pollen Flowers (plants and flowers https://www.instagram.com/pollenflowershawaii/), Roti-SI (porchetta sandwiches https://www.instagram.com/roti_si.hi/), Saki's Aloha Lab (handcrafted fermented syrup https://alohas-lab.square.site/), Sou's Thai (Thai food made with locally sourced ingredients), Sweet Revenge (fresh homemade pie with local ingredients http://www.sweetrevengehonolulu.com/), and Teruya's Andagi (local Japanese food bentos and andagi https://www.teruyasandagi.com/). Things I've tried include the Porchetta Sandwich from Roti. A bit messier to eat. Summer Rolls, Spring Rolls, Chicken Pad Thai (recommended), and Papaya Salad from Sou's Thai. There is a card minimum purchase at $10+. The Aloha Citrus Quencher from Da Manju Lady. This has lemonade and butterfly pea flower in it so it changes color. Tonkatsu and Tamagoyaki Bento sandwiches (life changing, recommended) from Mana Sandwiches. Bada's BBQ Brisket Combo: Smoked pork belly, tallow infused shoyu broth from Nabeya Maido. Very interesting broth concept here where it melts in the microwave, no extra water needed.Walk around, look at things, try different things out :)

Held, rain or shine, every first Wednesday of every month, 9am-1pm, in the Harkness Courtyard, just 30 metres away from the front lobby of The Queen's Medical Center on Punchbowl St -- open to the public. Since I work at Queen's, have been coming to this FM for the last 10yrs. It's a cute little FM with 8-10 vendors every month -- regulars are Alex produce stand, La Tour Bakery, Bistro Blends, Sou's Thai, and Sweet Revenge -- Green & Vines used to be a regular too until they closed down their business :( They have a few rotating others, and every month they have a new featured vendor -- past featured guests include Let Them Eat Cupcakes, Modo Mochi Donuts, and this week Ma'ona Musubis.Every guest vendor is fortunate to be invited because if their products are good -- they are sure to completely sell out due to the high volume of people who come through here -- mostly Queen's employees and peeps from other businesses within walking distance like Board of Water Supply and the State Capitol & Dept of Health. My favorites -- I always look forward to getting my Thai Iced Tea $4 from Sou's Thai!! In my opinion the Best Thai Tea in town! Very flavorful and not too sweet. And You can only find Sou's at FMs -- no permanent establishment yet. I also get a loaf of the organic sprouted multigrain bread from La Tour $5. La Tour only sells this bread at FMs or at Costco, but you have to buy 2 loaves at Costco. They don't sell it at their restaurant on Nimitz so I'm sure to get my monthly loaf here. La Tour always provides samples of all their products, also a fav is the Japanese style taro bread -- great to make sandwiches or eat as is -- yum!I forget the name of one of the vendors, but also here every month and she has authentic Filipino style banana lumpia $1 each. These sell out within the first hour so get here early!Today's feature Ma'ona Musubis was good!! Unique varieties of square musubis cut in half so you see the cool cross section of assorted fillings. I tried the mayo shrimp and curry beef with cheese musubis, 2 for $5. They had a lot of assorted bento & donburi bowls which looked good too. They have a permanent location on Alakea St in Downtown right across the FHB building. Speaking of the other featured vendors I mentioned, Thank Goodness I discovered them at this FM! Otherwise I would have never known about these gems -- only maybe though recommended places on Yelp! Let Them Eat Cupcakes -- my favorite cupcake place!!! I tried the Taro cupcakes with cream cheese frosting here yrs ago and THEY WERE SO GOOD!!! Perfectly moist, dense, flavorful, rich but not overly sweet -- and you could really taste the taro! They have their permanent location on Bishop St. Modo Mochi donuts was super yummy!! They sold 6 piece sampler packs here -- lilikoi, strawberry, azuki bean & black sesame were my fav. You can find them in the Japanese supermarket in International Market Place. So glad I discovered all these delicious little places here!! Good advertising for them!!And you're more than likely to spot Ipo, Queen's yellow labrador Therapy Dog here -- she is precious beyond words and sure to put a Smile on your face =) The Queen's Farmers Market is a hit! Smaller and less vendors than your typical FM, but with Old Faithful favorites, and a new featured vendor every month which so far has not disappointed! Nice to have treats available other than cafeteria food to look forward to every month at work! If you happen to be at Queen's or work or be in the area every first Wednesday come check it out! ^_^
