Kumu Karl Baker says, "I have been troubled for years that there are no all Hawaiian shows in Waikiki, so I decided to do something about it." Keonaonalani, where he also teaches hula, is his answer. Boutique intimate Hawaiian music and cultural experiences that feel like visiting someone's home.

Brand new. Absolutely authentic luau. Close to downtown on the grounds of a renowned hula halau. The setting is sublime as were the dancers, musicians and food. This is the real thing with no glitz and no infernal Polynesian dance.Highly recommend

Very Hawaiian show with no fire dance or Tahitian, Māori, or Samoan dances. Look elsewhere for this. Held at a hula school which looks like a private residence next to a Chinese cemetery. Street parking is on the opposite side from the school. Do not turn into the steep driveway next to the school which Apple Maps might suggest. Very difficult to turn around and get out! Dinner is a buffet like you'd find at a family gathering. Glad there was no poi or salty pig. Food was good. Singers serenade you during dinner. The hula show is outdoors. Bring a jacket if it's winter and windy. Very nice show with great songs. Very worthwhile for a genuine and low key experience.

I highly recommend this luau, it's so intimate, inviting, tranquil and authentic. The atmosphere is so warm and loving, they literally are inviting you into their home. It's at the home of the two Kumu who have their own halau. You sit in their hula studio and enjoy the show in their beautiful yard. I have been to many other luau's and there's nothing that compares. My friend that came with me really enjoyed it and said that it was amazing, she could feel the love of the hula and culture and enjoyed it tremendously. If you have to choose a luau, this is the one to go to!!! I'd go back again!

The Queen's Luau is truly wonderful and honors the history and culture of these special islands. From the moment you arrive you experience the warmth and kindness of the hosts as they welcome you to their home and invite you to share a lovely evening with them. The delicious dinner is served in their halau studio, which is accompanied by beautiful Hawaiian music and was a real treat! The setting of the remainder of the evening takes place in their absolutely gorgeous yard that is terraced wonderfully so that every seat provides the perfect view. The music and hula are second to none! What a treat to enjoy an authentic luau with an award winning halau! If you want to experience the true meaning of aloha go to The Queen's Luau!! You won't be disappointed!
