Hi all, two words for this restaurant are that MOST TRY .In the island of Hawaii it is difficult to find a nice restaurant to eat out and enjoy it. So this place has it.The place has a cool dining area, cozy with dim lights .It is a busy place even on weekdays so you must have a reservation all the time to get in fast .The service is professional and the food comes on time for all the dishes you order. Finally, the food is Amazzing. Full of flavors and fresh ingredients that's you don't find in other restaurants on the island .The menu is more than just an Asian food because in the menu they have American cuisine and middle eastern cuisine which it was made with love that's made me feel happy . They have a Middle East dish called lamb with hummus and side of pita bread on Arabic we call it ( hummus with lahma) you must try it.Enjoy and have a great experience with the real food .

There's the food? I just had lunch today and ordered a Pho 75. For an $18 bowl of pho, I expected it to be filling. I was excited when it was served as the bowl is large and looked promising. I was disappointed, however, when I dug in for my first scoop of noodles and meat...there was hardly anything in there! The bowl had about a quarter to maybe a third of the noodles, meat and veggies compared to any other Vietnamese restaurant you can get pho at. After finishing everything, even the broth and a couple glasses of water, I left feeling hungry and gypped. I'm a regular here and noticed the same the last time I dined here a month ago, but had written it off as a bad day. 2 in a row and I'm thinking we have a deflate-gate situation here.

Amazing counter dinner seating experience - the food was delicious, and watching the chefs skillfully prepare the dishes while chatting with them was so fun. The menu is a take on Vietnamese fusion, and the everything is so flavorful - we ordered family style so that we could try as many dishes as possible and left with happy and full bellies. We shared the following:- Vietnamese coffee roasted beets: my favorite dish of the evening, so unique with its flavor profile; the beets were earthy but sweet and went well with the smoked eggplant which was so good- Le fried chicken wings: not too greasy, topped with peanuts and herbs and comes with money $$$auce which was such a good sauce- Pho 75 Dac Biet: the broth was rich and flavorful, the rib meat fell right off the bone, the steak and brisket was tender too - Shave ice: light dessert, great way to end the mealHighly recommend stopping by here/making a reservation if you're looking for dinner options in Chinatown - will be on my go back list the next time we're in Oahu!

All my friends and family recommended we try Pig and Lady so here is my honest review!Located in Chinatown, this place is serving up some Vietnamese fusion cuisine that is sure to please everyone. We stopped here for dinner and got a wide range of the menu from various appetizers, entrees and desserts. We got the: Oysters on the Half Venison Tartare Toast and Mushroom Adobo Toast Potato Banh Xeo Le Fried Chicken Wings Bo Kho Papardelle Squid Ink Risotto Long Island Duck BreastThe oysters were fresh and the pomegranate chili pepper water was a great sauce for them. For the toast, we loved the venison tartare but was not a fan of the mushroom adobo since it came off as more acidic than savory. I'm not used to potato in Banh Xeo, but the edges were crispy and the pickled carrots on top really made it a great dish. However for the chicken wings, I would 100% go back just for these since the fish sauce and pickled onions just make it so addicting to eat, along with the crispy skin. The pappardelle and risotto didn't stand out too much to me given it tasted exactly how I expected, but they were still solid dishes. I really liked the duck breast given it was tender, juicy, and had great sides and sauces. You need to save room for dessert here, with the Hanoi egg coffee and the soft serve swirl being just gets! The brownie was great too, but it can come off as bitter given it's made with dark chocolate.Overall it was a great meal and I definitely recommend trying it if you want a more upscale dinner in Chinatown, specializing in Vietnamese fusion cuisine! Reservations here are strongly recommended since it was packed the night we went.

Inside the Pig & Lady is a beautifully decorated Vietnamese fusion restaurant. Great for a nice meal out, the service is attentive. The venison tartare was my absolute favorite, each bite was so tender and bursting with flavor - highly recommend! The bo kho papardelle was quite interesting. Since I'm used to having bo kho in a broth noodle soup, having it in pasta form was enjoyable and different.

I can't believe I have never reviewed The Pig & The Lady? Say what!Where do I begin? This restaurant is located in the heart of Chinatown in Honolulu and is an absolute gem. With Chef Andrew Le at the helm, the restaurant offers a creative take on tradition Vietnamese flavors and dishes and has grown in popularity over the years. They have been named one of the best restaurants in Hawaii and continue to impress with their inventive dishes. My first time here was back in 2014 and I have been a fan ever since. Upon entering their doors, you'll notice a mix of modern and eclectic design that blends industrial elements with unique, artistic touches throughout.During that first initial visit we got their bahn mi and pho. They have one of the most flavorful phos I have ever tried. The broth is rich with many layers of flavors that develop over many hours of cooking. It's a must try. When we finally visited again back in September. My other half got the pho again and I got my favorite Le Fried Chicken (LFC) Wings which is twice fried and comes with makrut leaves, pickled onion, peanut, and doused in their money $$$auce. From the very first time I tried this dish, I fell in love. Chicken wings are one of my favorite things ever and this was the most unique, flavorful take I have ever had the pleasure of eating. Fish sauce and wings? MONEY, for real. I was mind blown and still am. I crave this all. the. time. So much so that I packed my left overs and brought it home to Maui, lol. They also have fun soft serve flavors that rotate frequently. I got a PB&J soft serve at their sister location a while back and loved it, so I decided to try the apple pie soft serve. The cheese crumbles were a bit hard for my liking and overall I just thought it was ok, but it's probably because I'm not a big fan of apple pie in general. I just really love ice cream/soft serves and have to try everything, so I'm glad I tried it.All in all, I highly recommend The Pig & The Lady. Definitely try to get a reservation if you can as it does get busy quite often.

The Pig & The Lady is a beloved local restaurant offering a solid dining experience in a lovely restaurant in Chinatown. If it's your first time trying, I highly recommend ordering one of their fusion dishes, which is where they shine! The Bó Kho Papardelle was exactly what I was craving -- fresh wide pasta noodles with fragrant Vietnamese aromatics and the savoriness of a meaty Bolognese. We also loved the Washugyu & Escargot. The tender beef (perfectly medium rare!!), earthy escargot, and green curry all worked well together. I was also surprised the puff pastry stayed crisp in the sauce!Service was friendly and fast. All in all, would return. Pro tip: Make a reservation at least a week in advance if you want to guarantee a spot for dinner. They fill up quick.

Small place so get a reservation. The French dip bhan mi is only during lunch for dine in but you can get it to go. Tried the toasts, the potato Banh xeo, the pho 75, and the Kanpachi The toast was good. The venison one was the best of the three. Good size to easily share. The Banh Xeo had a good crisp and the pickled carrots were delicious. The potato is different and does make it a little soggy. The pho broth was flavorful and the noodles are the thicker ones. Very good. The Kanpachi was okay. It's very rich so get the rice. And speaking of the rice. It was one of the highlights. Service is good. Friendly and attentive. Can't wait to go back for lunch.

Come for the pho french dip. It's the best sandwich I've ever had.Trying to find street parking is a hassle, so after circling the block once, just go to a paid parking lot. We found one nearby for $4 an hour, and as a precaution did 2 hours. However, 1 hour would've been enough. We came on a Saturday at noon, and while the restaurant was nearly full, the service was fast. Also, since the last time we've visited they've made more bathrooms available. Before there was just a single stall on the first floor for everyone, so it could take a long time. Now, if you go through the kitchen and up the elevator there's a men's and women's restroom with multiple stalls.

I took a chance and walked in this past week and I was blown away by the experience, especially my server, Dillon. The ambiance was nice but he really made the dinner one to remember with his attentiveness and knowledge of the menu. I'll definitely be telling my friends and hope to come back and have him again.
