My wife and I have ridden on all four main islands of Hawaii and our favorite ride is along the coast that we experience at Turtle Bay. It is such a relaxing ride along the coast as the waves crash along the shore and the breeze off the ocean keeps us cool. The staff has always chosen the perfect temperament horses for us and after our ride, my legs aren't killing me like it had on other rides. This is our go to place to ride when we are on Oahu!

This place is absolutely horrible. It was a waste of my time and gas to drive all the way out there. I made a reservation online for 6 people and 6 balls to rent. I wrote in the time that I wanted to start which was 1230 pm. I show up at 1230 exactly and go to check in at the outpost Hut. The 2 guys inside the Hut tell me they didn't see my reservation and they rented out all their balls to a group that just came in.....So...we had to WAIT until the group was finished to get the balls to play....On top of that, I paid $10 per person to play, and the guy in the hut tells me there's only 6 or 7 holes available since they use the course to pop fireworks off of. New years was about a week ago!! You're telling me, you're too lazy to put back the holes for a whole week?! Cmon man.....Then, I ask for a cart to put all our stuff in and he tells me that they don't rent out carts but that I could get one at the golf hut. So my mom walks all the way over to the golf hut for them to tell her that they don't rent out golf carts for soccer golf......?!So then after all of this, the guy in the outpost hut tells me he will refund me the balls we rented as a way to make up the unfinished course and the time we had to wait for the balls to come back. That was nice of them.....except for the fact that he didn't do it!!! He was straight up lying. Bc i kept checking my account and I didn't see no refund pending from them....So I waited 2-3 days then I finally call them back checking up on the refund. Explain the whole thing and I'm pretty sure the guy who answered the phone was the same guy who told me he would refund it to me the day of my reservation! So he puts me on hold and tells me that a manager has to be the one to refund me. So why did that guy in the outpost hut tell me he was refunding me if he really wasn't?!?!To top it all off, the course looks like crap. And they don't even have a score card to give you. Good thing I took a picture of their somewhat course layout so I knew where the heck I was going. The course is literally just grass that is so overgrown and bumpy that you cannot even call it foot golf. Save yourself time and don't go here.

TONS of fun to be had. The tour was great, our tour guide was funny and by the end my legs felt like spaghetti. It was scary at first, but after some great coaching, it was FUN FUN FUN! Beautiful scenery in the Turtle Bay Area and it doesn't hurt that it's 10 minutes down the street from Giovanni's Shrimp Truck!! Win win! Great price via Groupon and it was the perfect outing for me and my friend who flew in from Colorado

Did the Segway tour w/the family and had a great time. Glad we did it. Our tour guide Jake was cool and gave us some good Hawaiian history. And Turtle Bay is a must see. It's gorgeous.

Cody was the perfect tour guide. He explained how to ride the Segway, gave us time to practice and when we were all comfortable we started the tour.He had good Hawaiian knowledge throughout the entire tour. Cody and the entire staff were fabulous I would highly recommend doing an adventure through their company.

DO NOT RENT SCOOTERS. I've rented many scooters before and rented a scooter here, that was broken. It puttered and wouldn't go the legal speed required on local roads. Cars were honking and added nothing but anxiety to what was supposed to be a fun ride. The two other scooters that were in my party worked fine. I verified that by testing those. When I told them about the horrible experience they told me the scooter was fine and refused to offer a refund. Horrible customer service + broken scooters putting peoples lives in danger.

On my bucket/todo/resolution list of 2014, one of the things I had to do this year was to do more touristy nature things. So here we were, one with nature, my family and I, exploring the backroads of Turtle Bay; being one with the aina. Enjoying the turtles and birds of the North Shore. On a segway, just like the Hawaiians of old. And when I say old, I mean like, you know, last year. I seen Bruddah on da Segway, yelling chi-hoo!! Dis buggah is da bomb! Eh Keep da Country Country Cuz!The Segway tour combines two great aspects, the Segway and the tour of the back country of Turtle Bay. Both of which Im sure 99% of the population have never experienced. Who has ever seen Kahuku Point, the northern most point in Hawaii? Not you! Garrens you nevah! Oops sorry, pidgin slip. You start off at a shack next to the tennis courts at Turtle Bay. The tour guide was going to be a little late, so they told us we could go play tennis. Fun! Except it was 96 degrees in the shade! We only lasted about 2o minutes or so. But after the guide got there, we were off to the Segways for a short introduction and lesson. It literally takes 30 seconds to figure out how to ride it. Then off you go on the tour. The Segways had offroad tires, so it was able to traverse sand and back road. The top speed was probably about 15 mph or so, which was not bad. On the tour you see old World War II bunkers and equipment. Pretty cool! You also see wild life and some camping spots, that are pretty much only for locals. Very cool beaches. You also go through the golf course a bit. There are several places for some great pictures, and the hour goes by pretty quick. All in all this was the funnest thing we've done in a while. It is a tad expensive, but I think for the fun you have it's really worth it, and they do have a small kamaaina discount as well. You too will be yelling ChiHoo like the Hawaiians of old!

The Segway tour takes place on the vast property of Turtle Bay. It's a beautiful tour that teaches both the Hawaiian history and American of the area. You'll see World II landing strips and the old communication tour where the actual communication took place that we were under war at the time. Our tour guide's name was Pono and he was a great local tour guide. Having been from the area he taught us some cool Hawaiian history and legends. He shared with us how the "Shaka" came to be and how the people use to utilize the land in the Ahapuaa's. It was great. We even saw where the Monk seals and the pup at the time rested. This area is fenced off and NOAA was there protecting the animals. The tour guide let us know the importance of keeping our distance and how these animals are protected by federal and state laws. This tour is a lot of fun and the Segways are top notch and off-road in style is you are mostly off the pavement. Give them a try and you'll love it!

What's better than a Segway tour? How about an off road Segway tour? In Hawaii? :-)Blake was our guide - very nice guy - did a good job getting everyone up and going. The off road version of the Segway feels a little different than the 'regular' Segway, but you get your SegLegs pretty quickly. It was interesting the way the wheels would spin a little in the sand (I managed to get it going wonky once in some deep sand that I wasn't supposed to go in (oops ;-) ) - a quick step off, and it settled right down and I hopped back on to continue being the troublemaker in the back of the string. We went all over the resort area - lots of cool trails. Saw a Monk seal (mom and pup picked a stretch of the beach for their hangout area - it's cordoned off to keep them safe and free from interference). My daughter got to challenge a lady in a golf cart to a drag race (she didn't take her up on it) :-) This was a blast - love to do Segway tours, and this one was top notch!!!
