Service was great and the food came out pretty fast. The restaurant is very nice and clean as well as the grounds outside. It is wedding venue pretty outside. My new favorite is the Karaage chicken! I should have ordered it but then I really enjoyed my Asian Cajun Chicken pasta too. I'll just have to go back. This is my current favorite restaurant but I live in town and it's a little far.Tip: we were there Sunday night and it was a lot calmer than on Saturday nights.

Good service. Waiters/waitresses are very kind and helpful. Very nice when you ask for extra napkins, silverware, water, etc etc. Food is meh. Lacks flavor. Not terrible but not good. Dry and very overcooked fish. Been here a few times already and the only thing I want to order is fries.

My Ohana and I went to The LookOut on Wednesday, 11/27/24. The evening before Thanksgiving. It was a little after 7pm and the restaurant was not busy but had a several people dining. The music they were playing was a vibe, Hawaiian Reggae. Barrett, the bartender/server was very polite and honest with his recommendations. I ordered Aunteh's Loco Moco with the six-ounce braised short ribs...so tender and flavorful. My fiancée ordered the Mushroom Siwss Burger, medium...cooked to perfection. Barrett checked in with us regularly to see if we needed anything. Also, Anna, who we believe was the manager on duty, was very sweet. She checked on us too. Anna told us about a pineapple upside down cake that their chef made and how delicious it was but that it wasn't on the menu. She went to the kitchen just to make sure there was more available and when she told us there was, we ordered TWO! My goodness, when I tell you that the chef put her foot in that cake, it was perfect! Soft on the inside, nice crunch on the outside, not too sweet... my mouth is watering just thinking about it. I forgot to take photos but next time, we will. If you're local or if you're just visiting, definitely check them out.

Food was good. Parking was plentiful here. We got a table overlooking the surf riders but there wasn't many today due to the weather. Mochicko chicken was crispy as delicious but I did ask for some ranch to dip it into. The 805 pitcher of beer was tasty. Lava flow lacked flavor. It tasted like a pina colada to me. I think bc our waitress didn't make it. Looks like a manager made it and it wasn't tasting right. Pork sliders were so good. Teagan was our waitress and she was awesome. I wished she got to make our drink bc i think she would have made it delicious. I really like this place. We got full on the appetizers alone. But the start of the show was the Buttah cake. We ate up everything single piece !! It was so good. Thank you Teagan for recommending it to us!!

What a beautiful, clean restaurant with great views! My server was the bartender and he was great. I ordered the pork nachos which were HUGE and the queso that comes on it was phenomenal. I only give 4 stars because the restaurant had 3 tables when I got there and the food took a bit to come out and nothing was hot temperature wise. I would still come back for these bomb nachos. I ate it in 3 different meals it was so big. I talked w these ladies that went there only for the butter cake which they loved.

really really late review. It was in drafts. I must've forgotten. This was from July so I'll keep it short and simple. Anyway, first time that I ate here was for a birthday brunch. So it was a big party to seat. I also had 3 kids with me. The service was good and quick. I liked how there was water at the corner of the room we were at so we could grab more if we ran out. The food was goood. My kids loved it.

We visited The LookOut for dinner with a party of 10 and had an incredible experience! Having reservations made things so smooth, and our table was ready right on time.To start, we ordered a few of their appetizers. The edamame was seasoned perfectly and was flavorful with just the right amount of seasoning. The standout dish for me had to be the mochiko chicken. It was crispy on the outside but tender on the inside definitely would recommend! For the entree, I ordered the ribeye steak and wanted it cooked medium well. When it came out, it was cooked just right, with a good portion size to fill most stomachs. Every bite was juicy and flavorful. The meal paired nicely with the refreshing Aperol Spritz, which was mixed perfectly and a great complement to the savory dishes. It really reminded me of an authentic Aperol Spritz from Europe. Overall, the food, service, and ambiance were spot-on. We'll definitely be back again! Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a great dinner spot!

After a day well-spent on the Aquaventure, don't forget to stop by The Lookout for great food, view, and A/C to end off your day!Perched perfectly to overlook the various activities like the wave pool, it lives up to it's name. The cool A/C provided a refreshing break from the heat, making it the perfect spot to relax. The staff were incredibly friendly and fun, making the dining experience even more enjoyable.Their menu is an elevated plate lunch of local favorites, including the main dish, rice, and mac salad. For a place that doesn't allow outside food and drinks, I was initially worried about price gauging, but the prices were surprisingly reasonable. It was because of the decent pricing that my husband and I decided to eat here for dinner after a whole day spent on the Aquaventure. I highly recommend trying the mochiko chicken, whether as an appetizer or a full entree - it was delicious! I already need to go back to try so many more of their dishes.Overall, The Lookout at WaiKai is definitely worth the visit. It's a great place to unwind, enjoy good food, and soak in the beautiful views.

Ambiance is great,Service is amazing and warm,Beautiful big windows to see all the wave pool action, but the food here is absolutely atrocious.Dry fish, overly done burgers, tortilla right out of the bag and very dry mochiko chicken. My coworker shared with the server that the fish was dry, manager planned to come over to talk to her, but he never came out ever. No apology, no hello, never checking in once. The food is well plated, but just lacks overall consistency and taste. Will stop by for a beer after eating elsewhere and visit the awesome bartending and service staff.Food needs a total rework.

I've been to the lookout a couple of times with friends and family, and it is nice because there really is an option for everyone. Parking is a breeze with their big parking lot, which is a huge plus; however, note that things get very busy on Thursdays with the farmers market/food trucks. The space itself and the view is stunning, and we love watching the surfers down below. The most recent time we went, they were able to accommodate our big family group easily which was great. The live music was awesome, but the speakers were a bit loud so it was a little hard to have conversations with the whole group. Our server was lovely and apologetic for the errors in food orders and delay. The service was slow, which was surprising since it was not busy; however, I know that was not at all our waitress' fault and just might be due to understaffing. The food itself was pretty good, and the nachos were ginormous! Definitely enough for multiple people to share and be full. Plus, it was 25% off on game day! The happy hour deals were pretty sweet. Overall, family friendly (but no dogs, sad face), beautiful views, and good food, especially during happy hour.
