Currently staying here due to recent PCS move. I'm staying in one of the pet-friendly rooms and was immediately met with an overpowering smell of the previous animal occupants. Not sure if the carpets were cleaned. The room has two queen size beds that work perfectly for my family, big and comfortable. Blanks and sheets are kept clean by the hotel staff. No issues here. The added furniture and electronics are a 22 inch flat screen inside an entertainment system, dvd player, a desk, small dining table able to seat three people, and a sliding mirror closet. Space is limited for storage with 4 people but doable. The kitchen has a sink, coffee maker, microwave, and refrigerator and drying rack. Also, comes with utensils, tongs, and spatula for grilling. Recycling and general waste bins included. Cabinets for food storage is adequate. No stove top or hot plate. Bathroom sink is tucked into a hallway and the bathtub with shower and toilet are inside an adjacent room. Showerhead is extremely clogged and no longer sprays but comes out in a stream. Water pressure is fine. Bathroom smells of mold. Outdoor play area has a small playground area with a couple of climbing rocks and small trees. Grounds are well kept. Permanent gazebo with outdoor furniture suitable for a couple of family's is at the center. Nice quiet atmosphere. Hotel amenities include high speed wireless Internet (D/L speed upwards of 1 mb/s but dependent on time of day), breakfast is catered daily and consists of pasteries, pancakes, eggs, sausage, rice, grits, and cereal on most days. Also includes milk, orange juice, apple juice, and coffee for beverages. Maid service can be provided daily if necessary. Grills are provided with propane and cleaning brush for public use. It's an affordable location to stay at and with just a few minor tweaks would be **** worthy instead of three.

We stayed at the lodge on our PCS to K-bay. They allowed us to block off our room for 30 days (so there's no need to change rooms at day 10 or day 15). We had a mini fridge (apparently the conjoined rooms, one has a full fridge and one has the mini fridge). They offered to move us to a full fridge room (but I didn't want to move all of our stuff on day number 8 at 32 weeks pregnant). There's a nice little place park within the hotel boundaries, however there's always garbage out there by it (because not every parent is watching their children). During our stay, I had to yell at other people's children because they were teaching the much younger kids naughty things (the park says under 12 parental guidance recommended, it should be hotel policy that your children not be left unsupervised). There's also a covered patio with outdoor furniture and multiple grills. We stayed at the lodge during Easter and the hotel staff put together an Easter egg hunt for the kids (wasn't very well advertised, I asked the front desk if they knew if the base was doing one, and then I was told about theirs). The maid service has been awesome, however they never come by at the same time. One day they come by at 9 am. The next day they come by at 3 pm. Which is extremely inconvenient when you have small children that nap. You can have UPS & Fedex packages delivered here (however no USPS, that's delivered to the post office on base and you'd have to go pick it up). The continental breakfast that they offer is from 6-9 am every morning. It includes bagels or pastries, pancakes, eggs, cereal, multiple juices and milk, yogurt, fresh fruit, coffee and a variety of other hot breakfast items that change daily. During our stay it's always been hot and delicious. (There's a little tray in your room, under the coffee pot / toaster, in case you have to grab a few different plates). They offer 4 washers and 4 dryers (coin operated) but they work pretty good. One washer and one dryer were broken during our stay so doing laundry was a little hectic because there were so many families PCSing in or out.

Staying here was super cute. We saw the pictures and saw dated bed sheets but the covers have been updated to a clean white. I felt comfortable staying here no bugs, Internet, we stayed in a pet friendly room no pet smell. I was super paranoid about the bugs since it's Hawaii so I even checked at night, and I didn't see anything. As for a pet smell as I've seen in a previous review. I'm Not sure how it could smell since the floors are all tile. Loved the breakfast it was always a great variety. High speed internet. Kitchenette and dining. The cleaning staff is super friendly. This place was waaay better than the hotels in Biloxi Air Force base. Plenty of space. For my first Pcs this has been a good experience.

Pros: easy to find, free breakfast, internet, big rooms, place to eat in room, lots of towels, friendly staff and didn't see any bugs. Cons: no stove and the colors will wake you up if your trying to sleep in. I would stay here again and it's a good place to have family stay. Definitely call in advance to book a room I barely got in, but they found me a place last minute.

We did enjoy the area. They have tiny laundry room that seen better days and it's not free. Having Comissary, PX, McDonald's and MarineMart near by proved to be useful. Make sure you book room at main hotel area and not cabanas if you are PCS. Wow, what a loud place cabanas was, we could here neighbors party through the night on weekends, our room was shaking from helicopters flying over our heads non stop during the week days. Rooms were nice, so Mahalo for that!

The lodge here is similar to most Navy Lodging that you will find at any base. My biggest qualm with this location is that I wish they had a kitchenette. Most people staying here stay longer than 30 days and that option would be nice :)Location: Right inside the MCBH main gate, literally. Staff: 90% of the staff is always friendly, always ready to help you and they have gone above and beyond to make sure we feel at home. After staying here for over 60 days, they truly know us now and they have become friends. Upon check in, if you're new to the island they will give you tons of pamphlets and direction to get acquainted with the island. There are free movies for your rental convenience and the MCX mini mart/gas station is right across the way.Amenities: We were able to stay in the room that has 2 queen size beds, a fridge (3/4 size) a kitchen sink, semi furnished kitchen (dishes, utensils, grill utensils, cups, coffee maker and microwave) a little bit of kitchen storage, full bath. Outside the room there are 3 different grills outside, coin operated washer/dryers and free MCCS wifi. There is a continental breakfast served at the loge from 6-9 daily that is complimentary to all their guests. The food is more than just bagels, cereal and jam. Everyday they have a different protein, a different egg and a different carb so it doesn't get too boring. The location is also near everything (I know the base isn't too big!) but its all within biking (they have those for free rental too!) or walking distance. Overall, I don't love or hate this place. It is in a great location and was better than staying on the other side of the island and commuting but there are things that I do believe they could improve on :)

CABANAS These Cabanas are past the flight - line & are run by the lodge and you must check in through their office.$70 a nightDaily housekeepingAmmenities: daily towels, dish soap, daily coffee bags with cream & sugar, shampoo, soap, conditioner, lotion, tv, mid-size fridge, microwave, & FREE WI-FI.These are just rooms. It's like an upscale camping experience. You do share showers & toilets and there is a blow dryer!! . But it is not what you would assume. People were very friendly, respectful, & just humble! It's like taking a shower at the gym after a workout! My hubby & I are trying to enjoy every bit of hawaii without draining our account. We really want to experience camping but with 2 toddlers (3 & 2 year olds) we weren't sure if we were capable of handling 2 kids and the wilderness. This place gave us the opportunity to assess ourselves. We packed beach gears, our own grill, a Crock pot, the rice cooker, our frozen marinate, the perculator for the cold nights of kaneohe in December and off we went. The first night we checked in it was really chilly out and too dark to explore. So we went straight to bed...beds were nice and soft. Too soft for me but was comfortable . Next day it was so windy out we went to the cottage side beaches for grilling & beaching. It was breath taking. Kids played all day on the beach and didn't want to leave. It was our first night as well to try the showers! The shower room is key card entry only so you know each person there is checked in and is a guest as well. The showers are nicely HOT!!! My whole family had great HOT SHOWERS during our stay...which was much needed on our cold windy nights out. All rooms has air conditioning so that was nice. We really spoiled ourselves calling this a camping experience. Lol. But it was a good price for all the amenities. Bring Clorox wipes. Any spill of food ants come out. It doesn't bother me I grew up in Guam (it's an island thang) so I just wipe them off and clean as I go each time I or my kids have meals. And if you forgot ANY THING at home....MCX Shoppette near the main gate amazingly has everything! That was an A plus! Last day we spent it at the SUPER PLAYGROUND. The kids loved it. There was a barbecue pit nearby so we grilled some kalbi while children had a blast. It was a nice 4 day weekend well spent with the family. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

Stayed here with family for 4 nights. 2nd night there were tons of ants all near our sink bathroom. All the desk could do was give us ant traps. I cleaned up the ants and sprayed with sunscreen (all I had) and they never came back. One day we asked for housekeeper to come back as we hadn't left yet. When they came back they gave new towels, made the bed and that was it. Sink was still dirty. The next day they were better and replenished the toiletries also. If you aren't military, you need to get a daily base pass and this was a pain. Also, you can't use any of the stores without the military member with you. Oh and there's a dress code to go in stores. No workout clothes! They have bicycles you can use, we just never did. The breakfast was very good! Great selection, bagels, pancakes, eggs, potatoes. A little different each day. This was the best part of staying there!

REVIEW FOR "THE LODGE" (the main hotel)It was pretty difficult getting ahold of the front desk to make a reservation (called maybe 5 times before I got someone on the line), so they could probably work on that OR get an online res system that works. Once the room was booked, actual stay here was fine. The pet friendly rooms here are good. Rate was $110/night during the stay, no additional pet fees. Given that it's almost impossible to find pet friendly accommodations around Kailua/Kaneohe, I consider that a steal of a deal.-Easy check in, easy parking.-Kitchenette with full fridge, dishes, microwave, sink, coffee maker.-For pets: Decent green belt area right across from the rooms with poo bag station.-Free breakfast 6-9am -- actually very decent.-Other Notable Amenities: DVDs for rent, BBQ grills-Very helpful and nice staff

My husband and I stayed here three years ago and loved it. We returned this week as part of our military move and I'm disappointed. I've found 5 millipedes in our room in less than 24 hours of checking in, and in talking to others who've stayed here, word of mouth seems to be showing that others have run into this bug issue here as well. Apparently others have been offered to have their rooms sprayed but being pregnant I'm not comfortable having our room sprayed in chemicals. We've already had to get the carpets shampooed in our room after walking into a strong odor that smelled like vomit. The treatment didn't seem to solve it except for now add a layer of perfume to the air. The continental breakfast is generous in that it's more than pastries and cereal, but it was cold on some of the days. The perks are a friendly staff and dog-friendly option, just wish that the accommodations were more comfortable and cleanly especially since this is a temporary home for many military families in between moves like us. We also found quite a bit of black mold in our bathroom.
