This space is both a private room above Aloha Beer and is also used as a "speakeasy" on Friday and Saturday nights. Great service, unique cocktails and a fun atmosphere.

Not sure why this joint isn't on Yelp, but happy I get to introduce it. It's a speakeasy above the kaka'ako Aloha Beer that's open only Fridays and Saturdays. They serve a selection of the popular beers from downstairs as well as craft cocktails. The cocktails are mostly classics such as painkiller, old fashioned, paper plane, with some of their own like the aloha. What sets this place apart is how well each drink is made. It's order at the bar and find your own seating type of place so don't be shy and make friends in the lounge seating enclaves. Be friendly with an aloha spirit like the bar staff so no worries sista/brah.Love the dark and gothic ambiance, but not sure what to think of the fairy tail looking reindeer over the stage/fire except that I found it funny once told it wasn't real. There's valet or self parking next to the place and the fee is reduced with validation. If you're really overzealous you can visit Aloha Beer until 11 pm and come up here til midnight.Only recommendation I'd have is to improve the ice. They use regular ice versus large cubes or balls. Regular ice melts too fast, especially on the island.

I like this place a lot. The DJ on Saturday is worth the trip alone, kind of a hawaiian trip-hop rotation. The drinks are good, and the location is good also. But you might need to wait for your drink a bit as the bar is small, and they don't have any wait staff so you're going up to the bar and waiting in-line.I'd say the only drag is the venue/bar is small and the whole place can easily get overpopulated and the music can get drowned out by all the people talking when the place get's full, and it kind of ruins the atmosphere. Not a lot of seats available.Overall it's best to go early, when it's not crowded or maybe late? I dunno basically the place is very cool but only when there's not too many people.

This place is not really a speakeasy in my opinion. There is a clearly marked door, stairs leading up, then you walk in. Seaingt is uncomfortable and when it was time to close, a woman literally turned the lights on and said "bye have a good night", without any time to finish the drink we just bought. She just kept looking at my friend and I from behind the bar with stink eye like she wanted us to get out, NOW. The vibe was off. Not impressed.
