The Happy Hawaiian Cafe

I'm a basic breakfast guy, but I really enjoyed the Loco Moco at this place. My wife had the Hawaiian pork omelet which was also quite good. If you need a frilly experience, you may want to go somewhere else, but for good food and friendly service in Waikiki, this is a solid spot.

We stumbled on this hole in the wall cafe and are glad we did. It's off the beaten path in a food stall area called Royal Hawaiian Dining Plaza. It's counter service, seat yourself. There was a long line when we entered but they move people along fairly quickly. The pancakes were good. The omelet breakfast was good. And lastly, 2 people in my party shred a breakfast platter with an extra set of toast. They both enough to make a sandwich. Everyone is super friendly. Would return!

We found this place in Yelp as we were wanting some waffles for breakfast. It's located inside a small dining plaza called Royal Hawaiian with other food stalls. The service was fast and friendly. As for the chocolate chip waffle it was soft and crunchy.

Business was a little hidden, but I was able to find it. The customer service was extremely friendly and inviting. We were able to customize our order. Food came out hot and fresh made to order. It was a nice portion and very delicious! Price is very reasonable spent around $60 for four meals total. Will definitely be visiting here again!

The Happy Hawaiian is fantastic. The food is great and fast - and best of all are the guys who run it. They are so friendly, humble and cool. They remembered my name and my order after I was only there once. HIGHLY recommend.

The food at the happy Hawaiian cafe was good I order the traditional Musubi breakfast. That consists of Hawaiian bbq glazed spam, 2 scrambled eggs topped with nori Komi furikake, all on a bed of white rice. My wife ordered the Kalua Porky breakfast which was also amazing!

Service was great! He adjusted the menu item so I can avoid an allergy. The pancakes were fantastic and always worth upgrading when getting the omelette. Next time, we will definitely be trying the other flavors of pancake. The joint is located in a "food hall" so don't be surprised if the address directs you to a little hole in the wall.

This place is located between two buildings where you can walk by and miss it. It has several small food stalls that are family owned. We ordered far western omelet. It comes with pancakes and onions, green peppers, and spam. We substitute the regular pancakes for Ube pancakes. All food is cooked to ordered so there is a wait. The omelet and real ube pancakes are very good. There is up charge for ube pancakes and also for using credit card.

It is indeed a hidden gem with far too little reviews! My partner wanted Ube pancakes and we decided on a place closer to our hotel than our previous Ube pancake adventure. He much preferred these Ube pancakes (the other came with an Ube sauce and he felt that was a bit overboard). I had the omelet (I believe the Far Western) and upgraded the pancakes and holy smokes were they delicious. Big bonus for me ... they have CHOLULA! The service was great and everyone was kind and fun to chat with. The place is located within a little food hall with a few other vendors with open air seating. If they were closed the next couple days, I'm sure we'd make our way back. Well just keep it on our list for our next trip back!
