Fresh Review Alert - This Place Deserves It!I've been going to Firm Pilates for almost a year now, and I can confidently say it's exactly what I needed for my lifestyle. After visiting my family in Thailand, I took private Pilates classes to improve my form and strengthen my body--because let's face it, I'm not getting any younger!When I returned home, I wanted to find a studio that offered quality instruction at an affordable price. After searching online, I stumbled across Firm Pilates, and I'm so glad I did. From my very first visit, Lauren was incredibly helpful. She guided me through the basics, making the class both enjoyable and educational.Now, I see her every week, and she continues to help me refine my form and build strength. Lauren is a great instructor--she not only makes the sessions fun but also focuses on targeting areas that need more improvement. She even provides tips and techniques I can practice at home, which has been a game changer. I still have a long way to go, but I can feel myself improving with each session. :)

Highly recommend! I've been training with Lauren since 2014 and have crossed the Kaiwi Channel 7 times (5 in OC6, 2 on SUP) and competed in several obstacle events as well as the ever dangerous "ultimate frisbee" league. I could not have done any of it without Lauren's training. Highly confident with my physical fitness, I used Lauren"s Pilates based stretching techniques to begin training for the Honolulu Marathon. I started by running around Ala Moana Park and I quickly discovered that there is now an L&L BBQ in the park. Although I have now abandoned my effort to run the marathon, I have obtained enough L&L "frequent visitor" points to earn a free plate lunch!

Best Pilates classes I've taken. Lauren must know hundreds of moves. She perfectly targeted the areas I needed to work on and kept us moving from one move to another without hesitation. Each class had a different flow so it never became repetitive. Highly recommend!

First time visiting this studio this morning for a Reformer Pilates class and I'm in love!!! The facility is easy to find with plenty of parking. The inside of the studio was beautiful and clean as well making for a comfortable workout environment. Alicia was the instructor and she was very sweet and made sure to make adjustments to everyone in the class to ensure everyone's safety and that our posture was on point. This was a great way to get myself back into Pilates after teaching for two years and being out of it for 3-4 years. Having to recondition my body back to this kind of a workout is challenging but I definitely enjoyed it and will be back next week. Thanks so much for the wonderful session Alicia!!!

Holy BURN in my thighs, abs, calves, everywhere, and ahhhhhhhhhhhh the STRETCH in my back and neck and arms and legs!! I fell totally in love with The Firm's Pilates Mat and Barre class. Its a love-dislike relationship because I want the results, but my muscles burn, I need to work on my breathing and coordination of movements, and did I mention I haven't worked out since 9/2013? I thought I'd give it a try since I've been hearing so much about Barre and I've always wanted to try pilates. I'm 2 years post pregnancy, and finally making time to get my body back to where it use to be!! Don't let what I said scare you because I just put my body through a good, much needed shock. Not too much of a shock though. Alicia is amazing. I think she went easy on me which still wasn't easy for me lol. She prompts on breathing, fixing form, and counts for us. I feel super encouraged in her class, and it's not too crowded. It's only my first time and I'm ready to jump right back in. If you're considering trying pilates and barre, I think it'd be a great mix to work all muscles of your body. Alicia really did help me target all the areas of my body that needs work, so much that I still feel my muscles shaking. My wrist was aching and she helped me modify the workout and correct my form. The Firm will be moving though so they will no longer be in their Hawaii Kai location as of February 22, 2016.

This pilates studio is amazing! I have been coming to Lauren and her team of other very skilled instructors for years.They offer group and private classes; pilates and yoga. Pilates helped me carry two pregnancies with ease, recover quickly and correct other minor physical issues I've had along the way. If you're looking for a great studio to practice pilates or yoga... look no further, these folks are the BEST!

I've recently started taking Pilates classes in Melbourne. Australia and learned of The Firm Pilates from a friend. During a recent visit to Honolulu, I enrolled in Lauren's class and it was one of the best Pilates workouts I have ever had. She focusses on proper body alignment and really helped me learn how to make sure I maintain proper body positions to get the most benefit out of each exercise. I wish my stay in Honolulu was longer so I could take more of her classes. Highly recommend!

I've taken Lauren's class several times and would highly recommend this studio if you're looking for a new challenge and a stronger core. She's extremely knowledgeable, focuses on alignment, and really takes the time to work with each student. You'll work muscles you never knew existed and have a lot of fun doing it!

Excellent way to strengthen and condition your core. Lauren is thorough on proper movement and form. Group classes are great fun and also a fantastic way to add to your workouts regardless if you're just starting out. Very rewarding feeling after each session.
