The Escape Game Honolulu

This is the first review I have ever made where 5* is not enough! My kids and I went on Saturday night. We got paired up with another family who pretty much ignored us and swarmed the room, excluding us. Within minutes we knew the evening was not going to be fun, so we left. The staff member at the front (probably the manager) told us that the control person monitoring the room told her what happened with the other family and they took SUCH AMAZING CARE OF US that I dont even want to write how much they did for us to make up for what wasn't even their fault. It was truly amazing. My kids and I went back today today and did our first escape room. I have not had that much fun in a very long time. My kids had an amazing time. I had an amazing time. Our control room monitoring person was nothing but kind and sweet to us. Everyone treated us like we were the most important people on the planet.I cannot reccomend this business enough. The event was amazing. The people were amazing. I have not been treated so well by any business in my life. They went over and above for my me and my kids and we will be customers forever! I will tell everyone I know and everyone who comes to visit us about this business! I wish there was a 10* option.

Had such a fun time doing Special Ops!!! Me and my partner came here for my birthday.Norman was wonderful in providing us some hints when we got stuck. We had about 10 minutes to spare after we escaped.Very friendly staff and intricately designed rooms. We'll be back to try the Heist!

This place is worth every star and penny!!!Love the enthusiastic staff, clean and spacious rooms, most importantly, the super fun games!! My kid had their birthday celebration with these guys and one of the staff surprised them with a handwritten birthday card after the game!!! Such a sweet act :) We almost exhausted their rooms so we look forward to more new games soon!

We had a great time playing these escape games for the first time. Booked the train through time one and had so much fun we played the depths one after since we had an hour to kill and they offer 40% off a second game in the same day.

Yes!!! Absolutely the best event you could possibly do with your family. My five-year-old and 10-year-old daughters and I love this place and I've done almost all of them. I think we have one or two left and we wanna redo one that we didn't finish and it's always awesome to meet new friends to combine teams to try to solve these amazing games!

The Depths was very fun and so interactive. Plus there's always a nice surprise or two even though I've done many escape rooms before. We actually escaped from the Gold Rush room at their Las Vegas location, so we were hyped to find there was The Escape Game also in Honolulu.I used a Groupon which saved me some $$ since it was a full party of 8. Also, the place is a little hard to find if you're not familiar with the Ala Moana mall. We walked from Hilton Hawaiian Village, ventured toward Target and found it on the floor below.The staff were very nice and after we escaped, even let us peek in at some of the other rooms that weren't occupied.

So this was my first time at this location. It was so easy from the booking online to checking in. I highly recommend! We booked for a group of 9 but ended up with just 8 people. Because we paid in advance I was able to get a refund for the one person who couldn't make it. Also, kamaʻāina get a discount so it was taken of our total cost at check in.I didn't know what to expect but I assumed there would be several challenges and rooms to go through. No spoilers so I won't say how many rooms we had. Our group did The Heist which was really cool. The story is that we had to expose a fraud by getting into the office and finding the stolen goods and of course it had to be done in less than an hour.The group I came with is the youth group which I am an advisor for so this was an excellent communication and team building activity. Everyone was able to participate and one of the teens said it was neat to see how others in the group think and problem solve. I felt that each person's view was needed in order for us to complete the tasks. There are unlimited hints but we tried really hard not to ask for too many.My only disappointment was that there wasn't an official photo with your time that you could take (like a board to write the finish time). However I really loved that we could take photos during the game and after with the props! Our room monitor Sharanne was so gracious and took several photos for us. A few tips for your visit: It helps to have paper and a pen to jot down some of the things that you are trying to find.Take pictures! It was fun to be able to take photos during the game. Make sure everyone participates! Sharanne wrote down each of our highlights during the game and we got a "recap card" at the end with the individual contributions. So cool and a nice reminder of good works.All the teens enjoyed the game and want to come back. If you book another visit or purchase a gift card before you leave you can get a discount on the booking!

Didn't know much about this "game" until one of my loved ones introduced it to me. It was one unbeatable way to exercise brain power, and the best part: friendly, courteous and helpful staff to assist in mission accomplishment; they called it: I Escaped! I do have a couple suggestions for improvements. First, they need to lower the room temperature. It was uncomfortably hot when we visited. Second, need more powerful and lasting flashlights. The couple of them in the room didn't last long in the dark room; besides, they were way too weak to shine properly to find clues. Notwithstanding the small flaws, we may go back to check out their Special Operations.

Seamus was our guide on our Time traveling adventure. And he did an amazing job! We went back a second time and did the classroom one with another group. Super fun and very made. We will be back soon!!
