First learned about The Elephant Shack on IG. They are located in the cluster of food trucks at Kewalo Basin on Ala Moana Blvd and Ward Avenue. Public pay parking available. Covered picnic tables to enjoy your food. I went at night and there was ambient lighting and the music was bumping. Fun date place. Self order on a large touch pad with tap credit card.I've been wanting to try their Yum Nua (Thai beef salad) after seeing a food review raving about it. This dish definitely hits all the notes. The flank steak is a cooked to medium with nice smoked char coming from the grill. With mint, cilantro, lemon grass for freshness and cucumber and tomatoes composing the salad. The sauce is savory, tangy, with a little kick of spice. All over a bed of jasmine rice that soaks up all that flavor. I absolutely need to have this again!Looking forward to trying other dishes during my next trip.

Pad thai: canmt go wrong with pad thai, it was delicious. Papaya salad: my first time trying this, it was mostly the green strings which my dad said was young papaya. It tastes like what green fruits would taste like, that unripe after taste is eh. It was crunchy, not that sweet but juicy. Not a fan ExtraNice area, lots of tables and chairs and lighting was beautifulCame in for harbor night market, there was noneThe chef came out, found our table and asked us about how we'd like our peanuts. (Even though it was on the order). I then ran back to him and asked to put the peanuts on the side4/5

We went to Honolulu Harbor Nights and ordered chicken pad Thai from Elephant Shack out of the food vendors to choose from. The noodles were a good consistency (not too soft but not too hard) and the sauce was tangy but sweet. I ordered from the kiosk which made it easy to customize what I wanted (allergies, spiciness). The Elephant Shack looks like a cute food truck located towards the back of the venue. Definitely a great spot if you're craving Thai food!

Fantastic! Amazing food, great service, and great views. They have a plenty of options for everyone. Pretty much every dish comes with your choice of protein so I had lots of vegetarian options. I got the tofu fried rice and the papaya salad. Both were phenomenal. Great flavor and the spice was just right too. It's right in the harbor on the water so you get water front views for food truck prices. Highly recommend!

We happened to drive by on our way to get food and we decided to take a detour here to try something new. Everything on the menu looked amazing and I couldn't decide what to order so I asked the chef. He recommended the Yum Nua so I ordered that. The flavor was amazing! The dish has a little kick to it and the mint gives it a great flavor. I didn't think I would like eating mint but again I was pleasantly surprised with the composition of flavors. Everything tasted amazing. They also have a spacious patio seating area with lights at night. It made a lovely impromptu day night for us even though that wasn't our original plan. I highly recommend this place.

After we discovered this night market, the same location as the Saturday morning Farmer's Market, we've come here 3 times. The Kapow Chicken, Thai Iced Tea (made with Coconut Water), and the Pad See Ew (which flat noods) are my favorite. It's piping hot, made to order, with so much wok heat smoking delicious. Per the chef's recommendation, I added an extra fried egg on the kapow and it took it to the next level. Wow! I'll be craving this place! Also, on Friday nights, you can see the fireworks show from Hilton Hawaiian across the Marina.

This is a food truck with plenty of outdoor seating. Its a great place to stop by because service is quick and food and delicious. My favorite is the yum nua (grilled marinated steak tossed in fresh chili-lime jus with cilantro, shallots, grape tomato, mint, scallion, lemongrass and kao kua served with jasmine rice). The steak is so flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The sauce is sweet and tangy. They really give you a lot of food. I have also tried the thai basil fried rice, which i also recommend. The thai basil give the fried rice a more earthy flavor.Definitely give this place a try.

Love pad Thai, thought we would try it after a morning of whale watching. Food was hot fresh and delicious. Some of the best I have had. The 2 people working and cooking were very friendly. I would highly recommend if you're in the area and in the mood for delicious fresh Thai food, this place is worth checking out.
