Loved their Kale Noodle SaladPoke and Pork chops were also delicious. Service was excellent. We went on a night where it was sold out, but although the place was packed with people, it was still comfortable and everyone had a good time. There was room to dance in the courtyard outside. Parking is just across the street too.

Returned for a second visit. Made reservations way in advance but was told we would be seated outside. I protested and said I made my reservations as soon as one of the group's members told me the date of when they'd be playing there. The lady helping us said we could sit at a table usually used as a reception table but It was inside. We agreed. So only 2 stars for the reservation snafu. Now to self - Will request where we want to sit next time. Our friends saw us and came to say hello. When we explained what happened with its reservation we were informed that there were a lot of mix ups/disorganization the that night and the night before.Hmmm - maybe 1 star...We were told to order our food early because it was going to be really busy (sold out) and it would take a long time for the food. Our friends also mentioned the owner used to cook at Side Street Inn. No wonder the menu had similarities!Drink service was quick for a sold out evening (Friday). When our drinks arrived we ordered our food. They were already out of the pork belly and smoked pork. It was only 5:30, however they open for lunch so who knows if they sold out from lunch? Hubby ordered the Kim chee burger like last time and was happy. I ordered the tonkatsu and was somewhat disappointed. Pork was tender but slightly dry. Not sure if it was because the pork was pretty lean (I like a little fat on it to make it juicier). Guess some folks like the tenderloin but not me. Reading was crispy enough and tonkatsu sauce was good. The tonkatsu was not tasty on its own. Loved the namasu- still crunchy and fresh and tasty. Mixed greens salad was "meh" - drizzled with Italian type of dressing and not enough of it. You have to order a side of rice (comes with furikake) because the dish doesn't come with and rice or fries. So food was ok, not as good as the time before when I for got furikake chicken, so 3 stars for foods this time. Our friend's (Artistree) was new to us. Turned out they were a70's/80's dance band and they were very good. Previous visit was not a dance band so no one danced that time. Unfortunately for us, since it was a dance band everyone danced in front of us and we couldn't enjoy watching the band because of our impromptu table set up. Note to self, be sure to think about the type of bands and request specific seats. (Don't know if we will get them or not.)Food did take a while to come out even though the room still had a lot of empty seats, so only 3 stars.Ours server was excellent. Friendly, attentive, checked in us several times. 5 stars. We left before the band finished because it was such a turn off with the seating snafu and the food was only ok for me.

We came here for a department lunch and I can say that this was such a good experience! For a big party like ours we had a water dispenser for ease of access. The dishes came out by type and our waitress served drinks (other than water) efficiently. The wait staff was friendly and provided us with utensils and other amenities when asked. Bathrooms are easily accessible and clean! But most important of all the food was sooo good. I only got to snag a pic of my furikake chicken and my coworker's tonkatsu (pork katsu) dishes. The servings were generous and the plating was neat and clean. Would definitely come back here in my own for take out or to bring my fiancé!

If you are in DT Honolulu this is a must visit place for small bites and drinks. Ambiance is on the chill side and there is a god amount of seating. The service was great and I will touch base to that in the end. Food:We shared the Korean wings, furikake fries and onion rings. - Korean wings: flavor and crunch of the wings was amazing. Juicy wings with good flavor. - furikake fries: mouth watering amazing flavor and fries were perfect-onion wings: not over battered and so good to eat as you drink. My wife asked the bartender to make a margarita surprise and she came back with a li hing margarita w peach Tampico and it was so good Service itself was amazing as well, server was on top of it when it came to presence and being attentive. The bartender too was amazing. Highly recommend this place

Celebrating our Nation's birthday...The Edge At 31 North has some Hours of Operation that we had to work around. They're closed on Sundays. We called in advance to ask if they'd be open on the 4th of July of 2024 (Thursday) because metered street parking is free on holidays and Sundays in the Chinatown and Downtown areas of Honolulu. Yes!We arrived at the quiet, quaint restaurant for early lunch. Luckily we found parking nearby!Lysaandra was our competent, efficient, and knowledgeable server. She was wonderful... very personable and friendly!I got the Roasted Beet Salad. It was refreshing, beautiful, and healthy! We shared the Over the Edge Pizza, which was delicious! Look at the cheese pull photo! The mushrooms, prosciutto, onions, and bell peppers combined well with the mozzarella cheese and tomato base!We had a great time there! Thank you!

Dining at the Edge...Wanting to take advantage of having the 4th off Nadine suggested dining in downtown and this place is located right on North Pauahi Street (hence the name) is right across the Smith-Beretania Park and this lovely place is in a quite lovely old structure which seems to share with a building that seems to be under construction and no there isn't any parking provided besides some street parking and paid lot right beside them we both were lucky to find parking just steps away was happy moment to start our day.Walking in the vibe is simple with several sturdy tables and a bar in the back and as we were here for lunch I wanted to keep it light and decided to have a salad..."Kale Noodle Salad" which was perfect as it came in a huge ramen bowl with greens topped with yummy Kale Soba and is topped with fresh grape tomatoes, carrots, avocado and slices of tofu. Dressing is a Soy Wasabi which was served on the side was a perfect pairing though the wasabi is definitely there and got me on the first few bites...whew!!!We also decided to share a pizza which is a personal pan size (maybe 8"?) and went "Over the Edge" lol that's the name as it's loaded with prosciutto, bell peppers, onion, mushroom and mozzarella the cheese pull was insane as it remained as I struggle to grab my phone to capture it oh the yummy bite as it was the perfect size to share and knew that Nadine had made the right choice. The single staff was delightful doing it all and even split our bill evenly which is going beyond what many places frown on. It was a nice quite lunch as we enjoyed our bites along with having a nice clean restroom, celebrating not just the 4th but their 1st Anniversary as well they are accepting canned foods in return for $1 off for each can ($2 max per entree) and will be donating it back to the community is a lovely generous offer to celebrate it all.Thank you!

Atmosphere- Nice and Casual. Service- Quick, but there was only 2 other people in the restaurant. The waitress was really friendly. I like her style. Food- 2 of the items I wanted they were out of. Not a great start.I settled for The Edge Pizza and The Edge Old Fashioned. Both were really good. The pizza was just the right size for one person. The drink was strong, but tasty.I will definitely come back for the Ton Katsu.

My recent lunch at The Edge at 31 North was nothing short of a delightful surprise. Opting for a quick lunch, I couldn't resist trying The Edge Burger after spotting another diner enjoying it upon my arrival - and let me tell you, it lived up to the hype! The Edge Burger, a grilled 6-ounce 50/50 blend of beef and pork, adorned with lettuce, tomato, and onion on a perfectly toasted bun, accompanied by a generous serving of golden french fries. From the first bite, it was evident that this burger was something special - incredibly moist and juicy, bursting with flavor. The atmosphere at The Edge is inviting, with a clean and brightly lit establishment that sets the stage for a pleasant dining experience. The service was not only fast but also impressively attentive, making my lunch break a stress-free and enjoyable affair.Situated in the former HASR location on North Pauahi Street in downtown Honolulu, The Edge at 31 North has seamlessly integrated itself into the local culinary scene. The strategic location adds to its charm, making it a convenient spot for those exploring downtown. It's safe to say that my first visit won't be my last, as I'm eager to return and explore more culinary delights from their enticing menu.If you find yourself in downtown Honolulu and craving a burger that exceeds expectations, The Edge at 31 North is the place to be.
