The DJ Hawaii

We had Tony as DJ for our "Christmas In July" wedding. Where to even start. He was nothing but amazing from beginning to end. Music is such an important part of any wedding. For our ceremony he was able to quickly and flawlessly edit 2 songs that we really wanted to use. He cropped my processional song so that it played the intro, my favorite part and reached the chorus in that short walk down the aisle time. He was also able to turn our other song into an instrumental version and it all worked out beautifully. Tony was so great about quickly answering all of my questions along the way. He would check in and just made me feel at ease and excited for the big day rather than nervous. He also had the perfect uplights to give it the winter wonderland feels. The whole wedding was an amazing whirlwind and the end was kind of a blur. But seeing pictures/vidoes of everyone dancing and having fun was everything to me. Tony was able to get everyone dancing, not just on the dance floor but all over the ballroom. People of all ages... and amazingly... people I did not expect to be dancing! Everyone said they had so much fun which was the most important thing for me. Definitely the best day of my life and Tony was a huge part of making it a success. He has such fun and positive energy. We all want another excuse to hire him again and just have a huge dinner dance party :)

When my husband and I were planning our wedding, our ultimate vision was to throw a proper f***ing party - drinks flowing, people dancing the night away, etc. DJ Tony So made all of our party animal dreams come true!From start to finish, Tony is communicative, an insanely talented DJ and MC, and an all around pleasure to work with (and our other vendors think so too)! He brought our party to life, and we still get comments from friends talking about how awesome our DJ was!Furthermore, our sound tech team unfortunately no-showed the day of our wedding, but we had no idea until the day after, thanks to how quickly and efficiently Tony was able to coordinate with our wedding planner (the incredible Steph from Esselle Weddings) to sub in! HUGE kudos to Tony and his team for tackling the snafu so seamlessly on our behalf!If you're looking for a DJ who can read the room, get people up to moving, and STAY moving all night long - Tony is your man.

Hands down one of the best DJs/Emcees you'll find in Hawai'i or anywhere for that matter! He works with you before your event, feels out the flow and adjusts to the crowd during your event, and gets people up and dancing. He commands the stage with his easy going voice and plays the right music at every turn. 14 years later we still look back and are really happy we had Tony So at our venue. Hire him for your corporate events, weddings, birthdays...he can do it all...and most of all, you won't be disappointed!

Tony was outstanding. If you're on the fence about getting a DJ or deciding between people, go for DJ Tony! We had a dry wedding, and only 40 guests, yet I have never seen a fuller, more energetic dance floor in my life. Every single song he played was a hit - so much so that it was hard to take water breaks in between all the dancing! Everyone raved about how amazing he was and what a great time they had, and we couldn't have asked for a better time. He also was super creative and came up with a unique intro (i.e., introducing us like the Chicago Bulls) that was perfect for our personalities and was so much fun for our families too. Absolutely made my FIL's night with his intro in particular, and we got some great candids out of it. I'd hire DJ Tony again and again if I had the excuse to throw another DJ-level party. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a DJ in Oahu!!!

Tony did an incredible job at our wedding! He was super easy to work with throughout the planning process, and everything went off without a hitch on the day of the ceremony. I like how he took time to get to know us and work with us to figure out what would work for our ceremony - he's very easy to communicate with and super personable. He played great music and we had a full dance floor with great vibes for the entire event. I highly recommend him to anyone who's looking for a DJ for their event!

Tony is amazing! He was very easy to get ahold of and super communicative throughout the entire planning process. He is very detailed oriented and organized and an overall delight to work with. His energy and playlist kept the guests dancing throughout the night. We didn't have to worry about a single thing with Tony. We made the right choice by going with him for our special day.

Tony is the best ! We had him as our DJ for our wedding. His playlist is amazing and we forgot to eat our food because his music was so good. We recommend Tony 10/10! Thanks Tony for making our special day extra special !!

If we could give DJ Tony more than 5 stars, we would! Best decision ever!!! Thanks to our amazing photographer @DerekWongPhotography, he advised us the DJ can make or break your wedding and gave us some of Oahu's top recommendations! After zooming with Tony, we knew immediately, he was our guy! Especially after telling him we loved Josh Tatofi and wouldn't it be amazing if we could book him to sing live at our wedding (but def out of our budget) and without a blink of an eye he said, no worries, i can buy the CD and lip sync for the crowd!! Not only is he a DJ but he has PERSONALITY! He knows how to read the room, mix the tunes and keep everyone engaged!! He also went above and beyond as our MC to reach out to Katherine Ho, the artist, to see if there was any way she'd consider sending a clean version of her chinese version of "i love you baby" from the Panda Express commercial to play at our wedding and she replied YES!!! It was such a surreal moment to have a special song recorded just for our wedding and all of our guests enjoying it!!We gave Tony our favorite songs but told him we trusted him to mix whatever! He read the room and kept the music pumping ALL NIGHT LONG! Our wedding coordinators even said first time in 20 years they saw people up dancing before dinner, during dinner and all the way to the very end at 11pm! the dance floor was NEVER empty b/c Tony knows how to play just the right parts of each song to keep everyone engaged! Our guests kept saying the entire night, BEST WEDDING EVER! They hadn't danced like this since college :). Thank you Tony for making our BEST DAY EVER the most beautiful and fun memory we can cherish forever!!!

We loved having The DJ Hawaii for our wedding. Our planner had told us Tony's the best, and we 100% agree--as did our guests, who kept raving to us about him. The DJ/emcee is essential to setting and maintaining the energy of a wedding, and Tony is exceptional. We had our ceremony outdoors, the cocktail hour on a terrace, and the reception in a ballroom. We had discussed with him our vision for each part of the day, and he truly played the perfect music for each setting. The audio quality was clear and seamless throughout all the location shifts--not just all the music, but also the mics for the officiant and vows and the speeches during dinner. He really brought the energy and got everyone excited, from introducing and managing all the transitions of the day to pumping everyone up on the dance floor. If you want to have an epic wedding, you need to hire The DJ Hawaii! We can't recommend him enough.

Before I get into it, just book Tony, it will be one of the best decisions you can make for your wedding day.Our wedding was one of the best parties of our lives thanks to The DJ Hawaii (aka Tony So). We have the somewhat now-typical COVID wedding story where we were supposed to get married December 2020 but then we decided to push the date back a full year. So we had been in contact with Tony since Fall of 2019, and had overall been keeping in touch with him for OVER two years. When we had our intimate wedding ceremony with just family in 2020, we even asked Tony to create playlists for the entire evening so we felt like we had a DJ there and he delivered without even being there!Fast forward to our new date in 2021. After much anticipation, anxiety and over two years of planning, we were finally were able to have our wedding in Hawaii. Tony not only served as just one of our vendors throughout the process, he gave us planning advice, kept us updated on what was going on on the island (regarding daily Covid restriction changes) and was just an amazing resource overall. He is personable, responsive, and has a warm personality and working with him doesn't feel like a typical wedding vendor business relationship. He embodies the welcoming and laid back vibe of the islands.I want to emphasize that my husband and I were always pretty adamant that we wanted a DJ and not a live band. This is because DJ's have more flexibility in terms of adjusting to the crowd, the vibe and changing genres more effortlessly. Tony was able to do this to perfection. Tony can read a room and was able to adjust the music to match the energy from us and our guests. This became apparent when a lot of us started dancing while the servers were trying to serve dinner. This pretty much set the tone for the night as we were asked to sit down so could be served our dinner lol. Needless to say, Tony absolutely killed it. The music and transitions were so on point and it kept our guests on their feet for 4-5 hours. We still have friends asking if they can fly Tony to the East Coast for their weddings (that's saying something). So if you're thinking about your wedding entertainment, look no further. You will find everything you need and more with Tony. Music truly sets the tone for your wedding and is one of the most important considerations for the guests' experience. Pretty napkins and centerpieces will kind of go out the window when you start having so much with your friends and family and the music is a HUGE part of that. Book Tony NOW. He's not only insanely good at what he does, but he's also become an amazing friend. We love you Tony!
