The hardest working band in show business! They just played a phenomenal 3 hour show at the NBC. Robert Smith sounded better then ever. I can't believe they had 4 encores- Hana Hou!!! It was like a reunion- seeing Robert Smith on stage flooded me with so many memories. The Cure has been around so long they have been my soundtrack for all of the ups and downs in life. All I can say is Boy's Don't Cry, but I almost cried when this incredible show was over...

Okay so after this incredible concert I'm obsessed with Robert Smith. Again. Last time was 20 years ago at the Wish concert in Cali. How can I not be? He's so talented an quirky and with so much stamina. Also his voice is still great - haunting quintessential the cure. They are so good to their fans. Two encores, got out at midnight. Was so pumped I couldn't fall asleep. Still you tubing video interviews of Robert Smith. Uh and what is Simon Gallup's youth elixir secret? He looks great! Hydroxycut?

This was an awesome concert! The Cure still kicks butt. The place was pretty much sold out, and they did all the good songs that everyone knows and can scream along with, as well as a lot of the lesser known songs. The lighting was really well done. The colors, the backgrounds, the lights, were all spectacular. It was a great show. The camera guys did a great job of highlighting the performers, so I felt like I was closer than I was.My seats were okay, but I could see and hear just fine. I recommend.I gave it less than five because the opening band sucked the life out of me. The Cure was good, but the sound was awful for Clones of the Queen. Like, there was a major hissing noise, and it was just crazy. [Also, I was under the false impression before they began that it was going to be a Queen cover band, so I was super disappointed with that.] My hubby says COTQ are probably good at recording, but not so much at performance. Also, I think I almost got stoned from second-hand pot smoke. I don't know what the heck was going on, but it reeked around us. I don't care what people do, but when people are affected by it (pregnant women near us looked really upset) and can't move to leave, that's just not cool. All in all, a good concert. The girl to the right of us pretty much made my night. She danced around like a crazy person the ENTIRE TIME, and swung her t-shirt and whooped. I don't know why I think it was so awesome, but there it is.If you didn't go, you are just crazy, and you better get off your bum and go next chance you get.

I have yet made it to a Yelp event... so as some may point out an event that would never happen again would be pointless to write a review on... but this is The Cure... My All Time Favorite Band. I mean my Yelp nickname is a part off of "Close to Me" and my Yelp URL is "iheartthecure" so this review is pretty much necessary. Getting tickets 3 hours after the first day they started selling them was pretty heartbreaking. Why I wasn't aware they were coming here for a concert before hand!? I blame it on my IPod. We had horrible seats, section 32, row O. & if I had the resources I would have easily dished out the $200 for front row seats. Sadly I had settled for my crappy seats and realized afterwards this is The Cure... sitting outside of the arena and just being able to hear them live... I would be the happiest person. The concert as I assumed was AMAZING!! Never would I have thought they would come here for a concert and never would I have thought I'd be able to see them perform live. The feeling is still hard to grasp. Robert Smith's performance & voice was incredible live. I didn't think it was possible but I think I love them even more. I can't believe they are in their 50's and yet were able to deliver such a fascinating show. This concert tops the best I've ever been to and I am sure it will stay that way forever and ever and ever.

Finally I got to see The Cure for the first time in Hawaii! I recalled back fifteen years ago in LA when people waited hours in line for Cure concert tix to later find out it was all a hoax and radio stations thought it was a cool prank to pull which wasn't. My friend and I was of course in line at Tower Records. Others (esp. the gals) were seriously crying when they found out there was no show. I remembered radio DJs played a "Boys Don't Cry" parody singing "Just to say it was a prank that Robert Smith will never come... But we know that you are pissed for those in line will be so bummed... Cure-fans-will-cry..." Yes we were so pissed that even today my friend wouldn't still go to see them at all because of that. Now fast-forward to this year and to this show. My wife & I went since we were visiting friends & relatives in Hawaii. The band was good in attendance and performing their gig like any other, however the songs did not really moved me and wasn't as catchy as what it used to from the past. I had to sort of take a hard listening ear to recognize the song at some times. There were so much feedback and noise that even my Shazam app could not recognize and identify the songs. And it did not help much for those delinquents who passed the pot around because they were too "High" (no pun) to care about the music. We checked out the merch stand before the show started. After waiting a half-hour in line to find out there no size small or medium shirts available. C'mon guys, in Hawaii the majority population of people in size take small or medium which many clothing stores provide. We decided to hele-on (move along) to the other booth to see if they have anything, and funny thing happened when some idiot said out loud "Whoa! Nothing purchased from those couple at all!" That idiot will understand why when he reaches there at the merch booth. We were lucky to find a medium which was the very last one hung on display, and the lady was able to sell it to us. Overall, I'm glad to finally see them live after that prank fifteen years ago. The music vibe wasn't up to par but I'm glad to at least add this event to my concert goer collection.
