Looking for ONOLICIOUS Wagyu Sliders? Crouching Lion is the place to go! Beautifully renovated and remodeled, this iconic restaurant has got a great selections of pupus, drinks and a gorgeous view. Live Music is awesome too!Every time Iʻve been there, weʻve had awesome servers taking great care of us. Super friendly and helpful!I would highly suggest that if you want to have a more "quieter experience" to sit in the Lionʻs Den which is offset from the lanai/patio. And get there early! Ideally before 6pm because they can get very busy as the word is getting out on how great they are!Iʻm so happy we have a super nice restaurant in the Kaaawa area now to have our family/friends celebrations!!!FYI...It is $$$ side!

Disorganized and Disappointing - Long Wait for No ReasonWe had a reservation for 8:30 PM, yet we were forced to wait nearly an hour to be seated--despite so many empty tables being visible. No clear explanation, no effort to accommodate us sooner, just an unnecessarily frustrating experience. If reservations don't mean anything here, what's the point of making one? Definitely not worth the hassle.

We came on a Sunday evening around 4 pm, and had no reservations. It was not busy so we were seated promptly and quickly at a nice area to see the beautiful view. I decided to get the Mai Tai and it was delicious and also strong which I loved. I ended up getting the brisket tacos and they were really great. I loved the flavor and also the toppings on it made it refreshing. I really liked the kick the peppers had on top. Our waitress was wonderful and was super attentive and kind. I would definitely return again when in the area!

We came here on a weeknight and it was surprisingly really busy! The host was surprisingly not very friendly and was a little rude, but maybe she might just be a bit tired. Our server, though, was exceptional! He was very friendly and gave us great recommendations. We got their salmon rolls and it was pretty good! Fish was pretty fresh and the ingredients were mixed really well. We also got their gochujang pork belly and it was so good! It was sweet and a bit spicy, but definitely worth the try! Their lamb lollipop was definitely the highlight of our experience! It was so juicy and the right amount of flavor and sourness on the sauce! I would come back just to eat the lamb!Their drinks were okay. I'm personally not a big fan of their drinks, but the ambiance makes you want to order one for sure. Overall, it's a really good restaurant! Be ready to share coz most of their food are sharable!

I am not sure how I feel about this place. My husband brought me here for our weekly "surprise" date, so we did not review the menu beforehand. As we were walking in the sign said modern Hawaiian cuisine. Honestly, I was scared it would be touristy and some fancied up Kalua pig type deal. To our surprise the menu was mostly Korean dishes. The food was good, but I think the vibe felt off. The place is nice but felt like I was sitting in an upscale Korean restaurant paying upscale prices for food I could have got at some of our favorite Korean mom and pop places. The service was OK. It seemed as though we were not tended to as much as other tables. If I am being honest it felt like all of the people with "color" were seated in the back section. It was pretty cool that the server came and poured us our sake. If we are in the area, we would try again as we now know what to expect. However, I don't think this is one of those places that I would travel to just for to eat and have no other reason to be there. To be fair they are fairly new and as they get established it may get better!

The restaurant and ambiance were amazing! There was live music when we went and we were able to watch the sunset which was wonderful. We ordered the sliders, dumplings and some vegetables on the side. All of the food was delicious. It is served family style as it comes out so it was a great dinner experience. The one negative was we were unknowingly upcharged on all our cocktails. We ordered margaritas and were told by our server we had to choose a flavor - surprise the bill has $3 up charge for adding a flavor for each drink. It was presented to us as it was a requirement. We were also never asked a tequila preference so assumed we were getting house liquor at the advertised price and to our surprise each drink also had an up charge of casamigos which we never asked for. Overall we had a lovely meal so didn't feel like making a stink about the surprise up charges, but something to look out for.

I came with a group of 6. The parking was easy and the decor was very nice. At night time the lighting is very appealing. Don't be fooled. We arrived and it was raining which normally isn't an issue but it seems like they have a roof leak at the gutter and they sat us right underneath it. Prices are steep and I don't believe the value is there for the food. After ordering our food came all different times. The grilled octopus was cold. Normally I would have given this place three stars but because they don't take cash and it is not advised on the menu or anywhere else it's an automatic loss of a star. I wouldn't recommend here. There's too many food trucks that serve hotter, faster, cheaper, and taste better.

I was unbearably sick when I came to eat at this restaurant but our server was so sweet to have brought me the whole set up to make myself some hot tea with lemon and honey. I felt better instantly. Our table got lots of food to share and all of it was to die for. Surprisingly I love the clams and focaccia the most (best for my sore throat) and the broth was so soothing and flavorful. That bread just soaked up every last drop while still being crispy??!?! Amazing. Wish I could come back but I was only visiting for the weekend.

The greeting was lukewarm when we stopped in for a late lunch . It was 3 pm but I expect the dining shift servers came in at 4 pm , so perhaps that's why. There were lots of people milling around unboxing merchandise but it seemed pretentious to make us wait when there were nice , unoccupied open air tables with the stunning view . We had nicely presented food /mine in a bento box , which I enjoyed . The brisket tacos my husband had were beautiful but should come with a warning about the very hot Fresno chilies.

Ever since I heard this restaurant reopened, I wanted come.I was able to come with my mom and aunt was visiting me.It was so nice experience. I came on Sunday lunch time without reservation. We were seated almost right away. We opted for the bar seating watching out ocean. So beautiful and it was all open air area. We were promptly served by waitress named Elis, very friendly. We ordered traditional Taco. Ribeye steak, Japanese curry and rice for 2 person. The Taco was very delicious and flavorful. Curry was made with grilled veggies, steak was cooked perfet. Rice was served in the pot.I was amazed. I'm not a food critic so I can not say about details. Only I can say is food was very delicious and very thoughtful, service was superb, ambience was serene. Anybody coming here won't disappointed just for view only.
