Located a few doors down from the main entrance of KAHALA Mall on the left hand side. This past Friday and Saturday plus next week too they have a knife sharpening event. Purchase an item of $5 and get one knife sharpened. Hubs said let's both go and have 2 knives done.I found a cute scrubbie for Doc and a new set of measuring spoons that boldly have large colorful measurement equivalents on each in the set.I looked at the trendy beverage cups and they were anywhere from $30 - $45 each.Ring up was fast as they had two cashiers on both sides of the counter. You can purchase plastic bags for 50 cents or cloth ones for 99 cents.

Cooking can be fun...Here at The Complete Kitchen is what I believe is one of the last shop that dedicate itself for tools and novelty fun for the chefs in all of us as many familiar shops we all loved have left us here The Complete Kitchen in Kahala Mall has remained here at the same spot that I've always know and going strong. I've purchased many many items here including knives, covers for my knives, and many many maaaaany tools that have been a blessing for mostly work as the right items does make this more efficient as well as saving time and money and I have yet to find anywhere on this island is priceless...one was a tomato corer for $5 which turned out to be for strawberries with ergonomical handle and it sounds hilarious but using it for work has saved me from hideous callouses. Over the years they have quite the impressive merchandise to make gifting fun as well with some Spam, Hello Kitty, many local items or that fun candle to make that celebration a little extra special.Whatever it is give them a search and you'll be surprised that it's here and with local "kama'aina" discount of 10% supporting this local business also gives back as well.Thank you!

Wow. Some of the help here have apparently no idea what cooking or baking involves. A few staff know what's up and best to seek them out. They are the ones who don't give you a quizzical look when you mention a bread knife or an instant read thermometer for example. If you have an idea exactly what you want and you don't want to use Amazon then this may work for you but otherwise hard pass.

What stopped me in my tracks while walking around in Kahala Mall was da Spam display at the front entrance of this business called - The Compleat Kitchen!I will have to admit, I'm a "foodie" and would rather eat out than cook my own meal, but during these economic times where everything has gotten more expensive due to inflation, it's probably a good idea to cook a meal for yourself once in awhile (which I started to do recently). The Compleat Kitchen is a great store should you be looking for some kinda cooking gadget, or some sorta condiment. I know "The Compleat Kitchen" has been in business for a very long time, but was curious on exactly when this local business started? Upon looking them up on Google, and seeing their website, it says they have been in business since 1977, and they are one of the original kitchen supply stores in Hawaii! How cool is that? Shop local, & support local! If ya need some sorta kitchen gadget, I'm pretty sure The Compleat Kitchen will have it!

Cute and quaint little store in Kahala Mall. Myra greeted us when we walked in. Easter Day Sale! First time here. It was like a small Japanese kitchen section of Bed Bath & Beyond but more specialized for all things kitchen. Got a very high quality cutting board that I've never seen anywhere else for only $50. Even got two bowls with chopsticks holders, great for poke night. Had to leave before I bought up the whole store. Will be back. Love it. Also they have military discount.

Okay, so I'll admit I'm in love with kitchen gadgets, tools, cookware, small appliances - if it can be used in a kitchen, well, I'm an easy mark. :-). So when I first stepped into The Compleat Kitchen, my first reaction was... Wow! The place is packed with every gizmo and gadget your heart could desire, and a nice blend of local artisanal foods, pre-made mixes, enough tourist goodies so if you are on vacation or need to send Hawaii stuff to mainland co-workers and family, a great selection of pots and pans, Japanese appliances from first rate name brands, and knives that will make you finally part with that Ginsu and step up to real samurai potential... as in, the works! One could even say, compleat!Kahala Mall tends to be my "it's raining, let's go shopping indoors" kinda mall, but it's also got that old school shopping mall kinda feel, and much more local feel than Ala Moana (okay, Ala Moana on the "luxe" level - go down under or up top and you got where us locals go... but I digress, we're shopping for kitchen gadgets, and no can find like this at Ala Moana). The Compleat Kitchen fits right in, with all sorts of things you'd expect to find in mainland chains that cater to the kitchen gadget fiend in all of us, but with real local people, super nice staff, great discounts and deals, and fair prices in general. Senior discount? Yep! Kama'aina? Of course! Military? Yes, and thank you for your service! Go check 'em out. A fantastic collection, and if they don't have it, you don't need it! The selection is fun, and the choices will overwhelm and delight. And if you're a tourist and it's a rainy day, go to this store at Kahala Mall, you'll get some better quality souvenirs vs the alphabet store, and you'll support a small, local business - that's a twofer!
