The Bishop Museum Café by Highway Inn

Cashier/server was very accommodating to my questions and very friendly.The place is low noise level with outside sitting too, airy inside.Food:Kapua pig, riceOkinawa sweet potatolomi salmonCoconut gelatoDiet CokeMaui onions for later snack... overall food was fantastic, flavorful, not salty...just right! Lomi Salmon was very refreshing cold! But of course, the coconut gelato hit the spot. Actually, it's Highway Inn! Ciao!

Came here as I was visiting Bishop Museum for work and this seems good. I wanted something light so I got the tuna cranberry croissant sandwich with side salad and soda. The croissant was buttery and delicious. The tuna and cranberry was light on the greek yogurt, so it was mostly tuna. I would have preferred more greek yogurt (or mayo) in it to hold it together. They did give a generous amount of tuna cranberry on the sandwich tho. The salad was just ok and had a lot of arugula, so it was on the bitter side, but I enjoyed the liliko'i dressing - i wish they put more on it. I started to put the salad in the sandwich and it went well together. The workers were so friendly and went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I ordered. only down side was they were out of diet coke so I had to get another soft drink instead. :(Overall, I would come back and want to try their Hawaiian food if I do.

I always come here to get my grind on while my car is charging! Everything is yummy here and they always have excellent customer service! They even have kalua pig bowls and beef stew bowls that's not on the menu. Only thing I wish they have here is Mac salad! The beef stew here melts in your mouth and would go perfect with Mac salad.

Every time I go to Bishop Museum, I make sure I get lunch here. The plates are HUGE, so share or make a plan to have leftovers!

Under the category of better than it looks. . . . My work friends and I had a very quick lunch here. The $5 hot dog was pretty big, ham on croissant with real slices of ham and everyone thought the kalua pork was very good.

Surprisingly solid food here while at Bishop. Got the Kalua pork plate and was good! Pretty affordable prices too. Service was fast. Some indoor and outdoor tables to relax before going back to the museum.

Had the spam musubi and partner had the pig bowl. Not much room to make it worse but the service was good and the prices were fair. Cafeteria wasn't dirty.

Good variety of decently priced and Ono foods here! Fast service and nice casual atmosphere.

Who knew?This was a random stop for a snack with low expectations that turned into a very nice meal. Very nice staff. Ordered the Spam Musubi which was warm and very tasty. The pulled pork was exceptionally flavorful!Maybe it was the low expectations going in but we were very happy and satisfied.

I had the curried chicken which you can have as a salad or sandwich. I had the salad and loved the fried Okinawan sweet potato crisps on top. Delicious and pretty. My friend had the Luau Dip with chips and vegetables to dip snack set. So delicious and attractive too. The drink dispenser was working. Lots of seating. Updated decor with highway inn color scheme. What an improvement. We'll go there again. Menu on Highway Inn website so no need to be surprised.
