WHEN: Sat @10amPARKING: They actually have a small lot in the back!Came here right at opening time to pick up my bike rental for the (half) Century Ride happening the next day.I think because I ride a hybrid, renting one was easy. If you are looking to rent a road bike, those get sold out super fast! So here's my rental:3-Day Rental - $50They set me up with a XXS Hybrid bike that included a tire kit! How cool is that? I also get a lock and helmet, which I opted out of. Oh and one note, all sale items are final. No refunds!The staff is super helpful and friendly, and my rental was super easy and convenient!

My cable frayed and jammed. The result was no rear derailleur movement and so I rode 25 miles on 2 gears (big ring and little ring) until I got to theBike Shop. Scott and Co. Immediately went to work and changed out my bad cable for a new one and I was back on my ride in 20 minutes. Thanks, guys!

I've been to The Bike Shop many times, whether to pick up a bike accessories or to just check out the bikes.Being a locally owned since 1970 they sell all types of bikes, scooters, related accessories, parts and even bike rentals. They also support a lot of bike events and even have a mechanic van or station during these events.This time I came here to fix a nagging problem on my bike. Knowing that they have excellent repair mechanics with years of experience I knew they would figure it out. Sure enough after dropping it off I get a call the next day saying my bike is done.I really appreciate the great service and expertise that The Bike Shop employees give. I'll be back again to give them more business.Support Local.

It's a very reliable bike shop when in Honolulu! I recommend it, especially if you want to rent a bike. The staff is so helpful.

Service - there was one really cool guy who was willing to help. The other guy had a chip on his shoulder and an attitude problem. Makes me not want to come here. Was not the 1st time I have experience bad attitude here. It's a shame that in terms of affordability and selection this is the only place to go. Value - It is what it is for the island. Probably cheaper to go to the mainland and ship it back honestly. You're paying a premium for convenience. TLDR - Good selection. Price good for island. Service could be better.

Ive been looking for a BMX crusier for awhile now. Wanted an alternative for exercising. Went to the other bike shops on the island. Saw and rode their "in" BMX bikes they have now. I wasnt impressed and thought those bikes were overrated. (I used to race bmx back in the 80s) When the Aiea location was called "The Great Outdoors". When legend local BMX racers John Llacuna and Kevin Sano used to work there. Anyway, this location is where they had the last RedLine 26" BMX crusier. And i wanted to test ride it. Of course the bike didnt disappoint. In fact i was so happy i bought it. As for customer service. I forget his name but he was haole, nice guy. But it was a easy sale. I knew what i wanted and bought it. The shop itself is small. This was my first time at this location and i passed it lol! So i had to go around and try again. Then i saw the green wall and sign. Parking is in the back (follow the arrows) parking lot is small but its not crazy busy so you'll be ok. Not much more i can say. I got what i wanted and im happy.

Trust my road bike to these guys any day! Sly was the perfect technician for my rig, tuned and fixed most excellent job!

Great service in the repair area. The mechanics are knowledgeable and very helpful whenever I took my bikes in for repairs. Prices are reasonable. The retail area needs new staff cause someone there is consistently has a bad day. Not sure why but I've never seen such a grumpy gloombah.

Not very friendly staff. Not sure what the deal was, but not interested in helping fe find what I was visiting for.
