Delicious dinner in a quaint restaurant. The space is small so if you are a larger party I recommend reservations if they accept them or get there earlier. We initially planned to eat somewhere else but didn't have reservations so the wait was too long. Glad we decided to pop in here where we were sat immediately. We orderedHouse fried chicken- nice crunch and had a sweet chili sauce to it.Green curry w/ seafood - best dish of the night. It was thicker than most places which we like. Seafood mix was shrimp, fish, and squid.Pad see ew w/ beef - also really good and the broccoli was cooked to perfection. We really enjoyed everything and already decided we'll be back! Service was good as well.

Dinner in Mo'ili'ili, Honolulu, Hawaii...We've been dining almost every night with a visiting priest... So far, we've had Chinese, Japanese, and Korean cuisine together. I asked him if he wanted Thai food... he and the others in our group were enthusiastic about going to this Hot New Business!Thai Issan Cuisine II - at the Old Stadium Mall - is the second location for Thai Issan. The original location is at Market City at the edge of Kapahulu.Shared parking is free! Interior is clean and bright!Service is friendly and helpful! Food is delicious and beautiful! We had five dishes between the four of us. We ate it all:1. Summer Rolls - fresh and tightly wrapped 2. Fried chicken - crisp skin and tender meat3. Yellow curry with sticky rice - spicy for me4. Pad see ew - everyone's favorite 5. Larb - lettuce wraps had lots of heatWe all enjoyed our meal together! Thank you for the water refills!!!Thanks for letting us chat for so long!

Ordered whole fried red snapper, papaya salad, beef salad, chicken salad, broccoli stir fry with chicken.Fish dry, tasted like it was not freshly fried. Tasteless.Insane and very poor form as no rice came with the entire order. Very disappointed How much does rice cost that you can't offer it with entrees?Papaya salad tasted flat.Beef salad was ok. Not up to par with other experiences. This was perhaps my worst experience ordering Thai food and I eat Thai food at least every 2 months. Will not order anything from this location in the future.

We ordered takeout: Pad thai (with tofu) and spring rolls. Both are not oily and tasted perfectly. We will order from them again. Thank you.

They've only been open for 4-5 months, this is an additional location of a really well-known family run restaurant down the street at Market City. I was here for a late lunch on a weekday. Ordered a single plate of pad see ew with pork and it was excellent. Great wok char, tasty meat, fresh noodles, and enough broccoli to relieve guilt. Really one of the best versions of this dish I've ever had. Happy to have this spot in the neighborhood. Nice staff and lots of free parking when the gym's not clogging up the lot. Check these folks out!

My family enjoyed Thai Issan Cuisine at their original location in Market City so we wanted to try their second location which was in Moilili near Lunar Tea and Tori Ton. The restaurant was quite small. Around the same size as their original location. There were a handful of tables and we were the only ones dining in. This place seems to be more busy with take out orders where customers would come and go to place and pick up their orders. Long rice salad: My favorite "salad" dish. I did not choose any protein because I preferred more of the long rice noodles. This dish has a good amount of salad and veggies with the noodles. Their tangy house dressing is addicting. It was on the saltier side but I appreciate the generous amount of it on this dish. Thai house combination platter: The platter included a couple of spring rolls, golden calamari, a couple of chicken satay sticks, and a couple of fish patties. This dish was also on a saltier side but still flavorful. Personally, I think it was alright but my family didn't like too salty dishes. Anyways, the calamari and the spring rolls were fried well. The sweet chili sauce and the cucumber sauce helps counteract the saltiness. The fish patties were good. The chicken satay was very good. Good amount of peanut sauce on top and the chicken wasn't dry.Green curry with beef: The green curry was very good. I like how the curry sauce was thicker than other Thai restaurants and it was coconutty. I really like eggplant and there was a good amount of eggplant in this dish. The beef was also good where it tasted fresh and wasn't too dry. Garlic lime basa: A great entree. The fish was golden and breaded nicely. There was a good amount of fish meat and wasn't overpowered by the breading. The garlic lime sauce was the star. It was super delicious and you can practically use it for anything like the plain cabbages on the bottom of the fish. It was very good but I have to admit the sauce was even better at their original location. Overall, a great Thai restaurant. Their foods are on the saltier side compared to their original location. It's great they are branching out to open a second location. Service was great. Our server was really friendly and quick. She was the only one behind the counter and she was attentive to our table as well and took care of all the take out orders.

So I've been to Thai Issan I several times and was excited for Thai Issan II as it's closer to home. The food at Thai Issan I is good and pretty authentic in my opinion. I'm also in agreement that the most worth it deal is the lunch special. Therefore, I figured I'd order the same from Thai Issan II. What could be different?Well... there was a difference. The quantity is the same, but not the quality. The panang curry was pretty watery and my favorite fried chicken was feathered! It wasn't just one or two feathers here and there, but a lot, all poking out like hair on a balding person's head! Yuck!! Note: the pic attached doesn't show the feathers as it was taken from a distance, but believe me, they were there!I must say even though I lost my appetite and couldn't eat the chicken, I enjoyed the salad which had red onions, cucumbers and carrots. The panang curry wasn't bad, but wasn't creamy. Although the service was nice, I'll probably continue to pick up from Thai Issan I in the Market City.

Thai Issan is a wonderful little Thai restaurant next to Foodland on King Street. My daughter treated me to lunch here this week, as this is her favorite Thai restaurant in the area. The dining room is small, but lovely with Thai decor. There are only a dozen or so tables. The dining room is quiet with soft music playing. They do not have a lunch menu, only one menu. We both ordered the Pad Thai with tofu. There was not a long wait for food and the portions were large/sharable. The Pad Thai noodles had soaked in the rich flavorful tamarind sauce. The tofu had a gentle fried crust that was yummy. The plate was delicious and filling. Our server was kind and attentive. She made recommendations and kept our water glasses full and brought extra napkins. They do a robust carry out business at lunch. I'll be back and recommend highly.

Decided to come here since my breakfast time had passed and lunch was about to pass too! It was a great time, a bit after the lunch rush I presume. The place is nice and cozy and all pretty clean and newish. I noticed that there wasn't much staff except for a lady at the cashier as one in the back. There was one table taken when I arrived so it wasn't going to be busy. Decided on summer rolls, pad ped, pad thai and thai iced tea. I wanted to try the lunch special because for the price it gives a lot. The summer rolls were a nice change. There is some chicken sliver within and it's chuck full of vegetables. Always a plus and it was fresh!! The pad ped was tasty but next time I should get it with pork. Pork always tastes better. The chicks was good but I felt a little dryer than what pork would have tasted like. The pad thai was tasty and sticky. Thai tea, comfortable and tasted like tea not just an orangey brown sweet drink, like at other places. The ladies were short staffed but were kind and sent out food pretty quickly. Owner went in the back and started cooking as well as plating. Good hustle!!All in all the tables aren't many but be patient if you don't see a lot of helpers. I will return
