I've used the word holy so many times today so there has to be something especially divine about this day. Holy Wholey. Dinner came to mind and I thought about Thai. I ran to my mom and before I could suggest, she asked if we could take this visit. The spot we'd go to since the 90's changed their recipes or something so we weren't excited about hitting old stomping grounds. And what a bright spot indeed! I searched the yelpverse for something new and found this gem of a Thai Issan Cuisine. Thank you.The green curry was so green! We went beef and it was the perfect combo with the melty eggplant and burst of Thai basil (mild). My mom trusted me and we got Tom Kha seafood (hot). I kind of want to go Thai Hot next time, but it was scrumptious at this glimmer of heat. The stuffed chicken wings were like crackling into a dream. The panko crisp and succulent center was supreme! Spring rolls were nuggets wrapped in minty romaine fresh zing! This place got me especially excited for my upcoming trip to Thailand.

Why the hate with the reviews? The average rating is about right. The service is the biggest strength of the restaurant.. got good recommendations, very friendly and prompt.Food is pretty good with a few quirks. Pad Thai is good but a little too much gravy, not used to not having very little veggies and bean sprouts.Tom ga soup a tad too sour. Otherwise right amount of flavors.Chicken satay is the favorite. Nice and crispy and moist chicken. The peanut sauce hits the spot.Recommended

This is one of our go-to spots for Thai takeout on island! We ordered beef pad thai and king of chili (a stir fry dish with a fried egg over rice). Both dishes were delicious, the cost is reasonable (though it has increased over the past couple years) and they always give plates and utensils. When we eat there, the service is fast and they're accommodating to my spiciness requests. The front of the restaurant is always crowded with meal delivery orders, but the inside is homey and welcoming.

A great Thai restaurant. My favorite in Hawaii. This place serves very good and flavorful Thai dishes. Their sauces are addicting and delicious. The portion is good and the right amount for 2 people to share. It's mainly family-style dishes but I do see some people eat a dish on their own. Their dishes are also very consistent and filling for every visit. The restaurant is quite small and packed together.

Expanding mom's palate...After a personal appointment I already knew I needed to take her for an early dinner but didn't want it to be the usual places just to keep things fun. Trying to keep small and local it was a challenge as she wanted to sit and relax versus doing a take out and though here at Thai Issan Cuisine.Located in the Market City Shopping Center right beside Foodland on the upper level, parking can be the biggest challenge though since we came early we did manage to find one easily and you know I was thrilled so that she doesn't flake out on me. Walking in this cozy restaurant we got the pick as it was empty so we sat right along the window as we enjoyed the lovely decor. There was so much that I was excited to order though we did keep it simple as I got the Vegetarian "Rad Nar" and decided to order for her the "Yellow Curry" and she wanted pork. It's funny as she says there's no prices on the menu explained that it's all the same in the category all you need to decide is on your proteins which is a nice and interesting concept to order.Thinking she may want to share I didn't get anything spicy my dish was filled with veggies atop chow fun noodles loaded with the house gravy which was very difficult to describe as it's so flavorful yet mellow with a hint of sour, sadly I though there was hardly any noodle in fact I though there wasn't any in there that I got concerned, veggies was cooked lightly and had a serious bite to it which I didn't mind but that house gravy was the winner and held it all perfectly.Mom's curry was stunning filled with pork and veggies she thoroughly enjoyed it along with a basket of sticky rice that I had to have her try, her curiosity to finally try the gravy from my dish got to her and she loved it and wished she could have a bowl of it herself lol! We both enjoyed it all and I'm so happy to have her try something different.Thank you!

Since the last time I reviewed this place, it is still consistently my go to Thai food take out spot. I always call in my food ahead of time and give them about 10 extra minutes before picking it up. By the time I get there it is usually ready! My favorites are the green curry, kee mao, papaya salad, and Tom kha. These are just order dishes, although I've ordered other dishes these I always come back too. The ambiance is always on the busy side with workers bustling and usually a few people dining in. A majority feels like pick ups.

tried this place for the first time, using a delivery service. we ordered the pad thai, pineapple fried rice, panag curry, spring rolls & pork belly. we didn't get the pineapple fried rice & we were missing an order of the spring rolls, had to call for a refund. the pad thai, panag curry & spring rolls were good, nothing to complain about there. the pork belly was overcooked & very hard. what we thought would be gone the soonest, was left over because nobody wanted to eat it. using a delivery service is such a hit or miss, i might have to give this place one more try, but possibly eat there so we can have it fresh.

Went for early dinner to this BYOB establishment. Perfect timing because within minutes the restaurant was full for a Friday evening. Went next door to pick up bottle of wine and within 10 minutes of getting back our hot food was on our table. The calamari was amazing and we ordered drunken noodles! Fantastic! Service was fast friendly and efficient. Would definitely return to this restaurant!
