It was great having the food truck out front of the hotel. Hence the 3 stars. After a bit of a wait my order came out and was wrong. I sent it back and When it came back it was still wrong and not even warm. I gave upThe food was just ok and most of it ended up in the trash.

As a Haitian person, I've been craving a taste of home while visiting Hawaii. I was worried that, so far from home TK's would lack the ingredients for an authentic Haitian dish. However, I had nothing to worry about. We had the griot (pork) and oxtail plates- excellent. The rice had a subtly perfect coconut taste, the pikliz ( pickled slaw) was spicy enough to add a flavorful kick, and the banan peze ( fried plantains) were crispy and warm. A delicious meal and friendly team!

Okay. If I'm going to tell my story I'm going to tell it to it's entirety!I honestly was not looking to eat anything from a food vendor tonight. I was going to eat raising cane and honestly it was because I wanted to drink thier lemonade and because I was going to be there grab food after a LONG day of work. As I was about to turn into raising canes by residence in I see. That all the food truck vendors were still opened for business. So instead I went straight and parked on the side. I walked the whole walkway, there was about 5 vendors BUT the pictures of the food looked so good I decided I'm going to get their shrimp or lemon pepper wings. They didn't have shrimp tonight so they made my decision a lot more simpler honestly and I wanted the lemon pepper wings plate that came with rice. They ran out of rice so I opted in for fries instead. MY FRiENDS get there fries! It wasn't oily, it was crispy and not soggy and just heaven! He gave the box to me still opened because it was fresh of course (I'll attach picture) and I ate a couple of fries and didn't dissapoint! Then I ate into my wing................perfection. I just was so impressed! Not only was the food good, the service was excellent. I'm going to assume that was the owner that came out with the food, he was amazing and made everyone feel good. The one customer in front of me stood there and talked stories for a while and she kept repeating how much she was amazed with the customer service which is the second reason I decided to eat here!I happen to stumble on them by pure accident, but they gained a new customer. And one day I'm going to bring my other half here and I'm going to try the shrimp(hopefully they got the rice) and he's going to try that plate that had different meats on it!PS I couldn't wait to eat the food I ate it in my car and now I'm content and I still got my lemonade! Lol

OMG! I did something, fam bam! I tried Haitian food for the first time When you make ungodly noises after taking a bite, you know that food hits! I tried the fried snapper plate (which came in a pan ) and the oxtail stew. Fried Snapper: The fry on the snapper was heavenly. The crispy skin paired perfectly with the flaky, tender, and juicy meat from the fish. The seasonings were remarkable. The rice and beans were full of flavor as well. The rice tasted like it had hints of adobo and chicken bouillon with maybe some parsley or thyme and pepper. Not sure what spices go into Haitian cooking, but it reminded me of the flavors of Puerto Rico. The rice and beans were delicious! And the slaw! Omg The slaw was fire, literally! There was an excellent spice level to it which I'm assuming was from scotch bonnet chilies.Last but not least, we can't forget the fried plantains. The fried plantains are addicting! I could eat them like chips and be happy Rating: 100/10 Oxtail Stew: This style of oxtail was so different from what I'm used to. It was milder in seasoning, which was a pleasant surprise. The meat was super tender, and the stew was simple yet tasty. If you asked me to describe the flavor, I'd say it would be as if you braised the oxtails in a tomato base with garlic and achiote. The oxtails paired well with the rice and beans and fried plantains. This plate of food is worthy of a chef's kiss Rating: 10/10The owners are amazing and full of so much aloha. It was a true pleasure to meet you folks and try some of your excellent food! Be sure to follow @tastykreyol if you want to try some authentic Haitian food here on Oahu. P.S. It's almost lunchtime, so we'll be trying your jerk chicken shortly

This is the first time I've had Haitian food. Now I am hooked. The owner is very friendly and personally brings out the food to you. We have been here twice . The first time my wife just ordered wings and fries and she loves the BBQ sauce. The chef also came out and gave a sample of the Griot. I was sold. Told him I'll come back to get the Griot. Went again just today and fulfilled my promise. The Griot plate is amazing! The salty fried pork with the spicy slaw is a great combination. The coconut flavored rice and plantains made a great compliment. Lastly the Mac salad gives it a creamy taste. I haven't tried any Haitian place to compare to but when I do try other places they have to stand up to this place.I highly recommend it.

Stumbled upon this food truck when I was staying at the residence inn in Kapolei. The oxtail is really good! Perfectly cooked and seasoned. Too bad this is my last night in Hawaii, hopefully get to try them when I come back

I have been waiting to try this Haitian food truck for months now but the timing never worked out. I was happy to hear they would be at the Cinco de Mayo block party downtown so paid them a visit. I got the griot which is citrus marinated pork that is fried. The plate also came with slaw, macaroni salad, red beans and rice, and fried plantains. At first the slaw was a bit too sour to me as it was piled on top the pork so that's mainly what I tasted. Once I could get to the griot underneath then the tartness of the slaw helped balance the richness of the fried pork. The pork instead was a bit dry inside but I liked the texture of the fried outside and it tasted yummy. The macaroni salad is not your typical local style version as the noodles are firmer and a different taste. The rice has a subtle flavor and would be nice if there were more beans. You almost never see plantains here so those are a treat. Nice to try different cuisines and I'm interested in their version of jerk chicken to have next time.
