Taste of Hong Kong

The past Sunday our family held a brunch for 70 people. This is by far the best Chinese restaurant food and service wise that we have been to in Oahu. They were able to accommodate us and every one of our guests had nothing but excellent comments on the cleanliness, friendly service, & delicious food with generous portions. We brought our own cooler of drinks as they allowed us to! Thank you so much Taste of Hong Kong for being so wonderful! We're so happy we picked your restaurant to host our family brunch and have been told your restaurant will now be their new Chinese to go spot. Surprisingly it was our 1st time there as well, we last minute switched to them for our brunch because Friday night we noticed their restaurant was so full of customers and everyone looked so happy! It took our Sunday brunch to be all smiles just like the customers we saw on Friday! Thank you!

We have been ordering fromHere for awhile! Love the daily specials and the mini plates when you just don't know what to eat just order a variety and everyone share!! New Year's Eve was just crazy there but worth the wait!!! Tried the chicken with walnut (same sauce as the shrimp With walnut) sooo good! The char shu fried rice was a great choice too! Try this place if you're ever in Ewa!

There are a lot of reasons that I like Taste of Hong Kong. First is that it's only 2 miles from my house and very conveniently located in the strip mall where I also get my Longs and Foodland needs. Second, they serve the foods that I like to eat--I tend to crave sweet & sour spareribs, crispy gau gee, sweet & sour pork, and when I'm not feeling well, hot & sour soup. So far, everything I've ordered form Taste of Hong Kong meets my taste preferences. I'm no expert, but having lived in town for most of my life, I can be particular about where I get certain things from. Taste of HK satisfies me!Third, service is polite and quick. We've only eaten in once, which still was polite and quick. I usually call in my order and it's always ready and waiting when I get there. The restaurant is clean and well lit, I've never had to wait for service and parking is easy. Mahalo Taste of HK for becoming my go-to for Chinese food in my new neighborhood!

Very casual place. There is a fair amount of takeout orders and dine-in customers. Workers were friendly. Service was quick! The food was ready in a prompt manner. The food was good too. The crispy gau gee was the perfect size as well as the taste. We ordered eggplant w/beef, honey walnut shrimp (good size too!), won ton soup, noodles, and snap peas w/mushrooms. They all had flavor and were not salty. I would order from this place again.

We frequent this place and for the most part their food is pretty good but I will say that once I ordered the orange chicken and it tasted good. The fried rice has nothing but egg in it. This time I swear it was not orange sauce but canton sauce! WTH? Disappointing.

Located in Ewa Beach where Foodland and Longs is. Nice sized restaurant, it was clean and the staff were very friendly. I didn't enjoy the food, but my husband did. We ordered Chicken Broccoli with Cake Noodles, Beef with Sweet Sour Cabbage, Crispy Gau Gee. The food needed more flavor, like shoyu or oyster sauce or salt. The beef in the sweet sour cabbage was thick sliced and chewy, I prefer when the meat is soft and does not take too much chewing to break it down. The chicken could have been browned more while stir frying and the Crispy Gau Gee was straight ground pork, no minced water chestnuts for crunch or green onions.But my husband enjoyed it!Took the left over chicken with cake noodles home and stir fried it in a pan and added some shoyu and it tasted so much better.

I love this place, hot , fresh, fast and BYOB. The foos is so tasty! The portions are slightly smaller but at least the price is the same.

This is my go to for Chinese food. My favorite is the crispy chicken lunch plate. Crispy fried chicken with good flavor, rice, and a little bit of Choi sum and cabbage. I also order a side sauce of the ginger (at extra cost of course (total about $17). For parties, I like to order their small pan of crispy gaugee (about $40+). Always a winner that everyone loves. The prices has gotten significantly higher in a short period as of recent. I call in and they are pretty fast and are friendly when you get there. There are always open even through holidays.

Taste of Hong Kong has great food, great costumer service, and they are extremely quick with orders even during the busiest times of the year. The place is clean and the staff is friendly and super efficient. We usually order take out when we are craving Chinese Food in Ewa. It is a mom and pop's establishment that is a rare gem on the Westside of the Island.We usually order the Crab Rangoon, the Steam Fish with Vegetables, Mongolian Beef and Walnut Shrimp. Many items on their menu are delicious and flavorful. The food is comparable to Chinese Restaurants in the heart of Honolulu.

Amazing roast duck noodle soup for $16. Probably the most duck I've had in a soup so this was a great deal. They used lots of meat in their rib chow fun and it was decent. Loved their snow peas and mushrooms dish. They made an excellent fermented rice dessert that we came back for later just for those .
