Tanoa Hawaii- Pearlridge

Not only do they have a fantastic selection of the latest Samoan design dresses and earrings to match! The whole family can walk out with matching outfits. The staff is always so helpful and welcoming. They really take the time to make sure you find exactly what you're looking for and that it fits you perfectly. I always leave feeling confident and beautiful. Plus, their prices can't be beat! If you want to look and feel your best, Tanoas is the place to go.

Shopping at Pearlridge Mall, Aiea, O'ahu, Hawaii...I was looking for something special (and maybe Polynesian) to wear to my annual high school Luau. It's coming up in July... I like to think ahead...Unfortunately, there were no outfits in our school colors. Service wasn't really attentive. Maybe she was looking at the other bunches of customers who were louder? I kind of walked quickly between the racks of clothing, noting that they were arranged by color - and some were grouped so that a family could wear the same fabric. Very cool!I'll probably check again next month. I like this location at Uptown Pearlridge. Tanoa is to the left of Sephora on the upper level. I really like this shop because I remember when they were at Ohana Hale Marketplace. They have a clearance rack and reasonable prices overall!Note: Besides clothing, I saw bracelets, earrings, blankets, rain jackets, lotions, body sprays, etc

Everyone's really friendly, it's a cozy boutique that has a good variety of prints and colors and a changing room to try sooner on.

I love coming to this location! The older lady with the curly hair, Traci, has always been so helpful and gives me and my family great recommendations! The new location across from Razors is so nice and spacious, I wish that they had newer items like the Ala moana location but other than that I always stop by when I can. I do miss the old staff from the upstairs location just because some of the younger workers aren't as welcoming or attentive - overall great store!

The owner of this business messaged me that i was mistaken as far as the price of the child's dress I posted about, he says it is $24.95, so let's go with that. I remember it at $39.99 but without the receipt, let's just assume he is correct and I stand corrected; and since he went out of his way to send me (a customer) the message accusing me of wanting to make my reviews "juicy" by "stretching the truth" which is offensive in and of itself, I am humoring him with this update. My "opinion" of the products and quality stands and it is just that, "my opinion" and my own experience. I am and have always been honest with my reviews for the purpose of (as I always say) helping fellow yelpers make informed consumer decisions. Who knows, your opinion and experience with this business may be very different than mine. As always, happy shopping to everyone in the Yelp community:)

Update: I went to a well known local shop to alter the dress, because I was not able to exchange sizes of my gifted dress. The professional seamstress said many people have come in with the same brand. Because of the way the elastic is sown in and the way the dress is sewn, there is no way for her to address the problem. She said each person has come in with the same complaint, and I should contact the designer. It drapes open in the front and the back. Tanoa knows this, that's why they don't allow exchanges. Peeew!

I seen my friend buy stuff from this store and it was some very nice stuff. I went to check it out since we were cruising pearlridge. They have some really nice stuff. Staff was super friendly. I bought me a nice shirt. Super impressed.

I love shopping at Tanoa and it is seriously my first stop each time I come to Oahu. I was there this weekend and bought a dress for myself and three neckties to send to missionaries. I then went to Pearlridge to look for a size for something they didn't have at Ala Moana and ended up buying three more ties. When I got to my car, I realized I had two of the same ties so I ran back in to simply exchange for another color. Nope, nope, nope. Absolutely refused to allow me to exchange as "all sales are final." I was not asking for a refund. I hadn't even left the parking lot. No need to be so unreasonable. Must say I loved the new store, but sadly, probably won't shop at this location anymore.

Awesome prints and designs. Nice Samoan clothing. Only wish they would get more Iefaikagas.
