My husband planned an Amazing Race-styled Christmas present for me this past year, and my second leg of the race gave me experiences all over the island of Oahu, one of which led us to the Polynesian Cultural Center and this business. Here, we learned how to make a braided haku (head lei). Little did we know, braiding is the harder one of the two types to make, but we got the hang of it thanks to Patricia, a former world-traveling Polynesian dancer who's been making them for 35+ years. My husband has never braided anything before, and he did an amazing job for his first time! His braids were even tighter than mine! We visited a second time just two days later when we came back for the PCC's luau. I purchased 3 sarongs and a mother of pearl brooch/clip that adds a bit of decor when wrapping. The quality of the dye and fabrics is stunning. They are so soft and colorful! Definitely recommend a visit here for both the people and the items!

Beautiful necklaces. The headlands that are made on spot are beautiful and are fun to add to the Polynesian Cultural Experience. There are some more high end jewelry, and also cheaper items that you can bring home for friends and family. They have some of the most beautiful sarongs that I've seen on this side of the island. Cool stop to add to the experience.
