Sushi Matsuri

Sushi Matsuri's Rainbow Roll is one of those sushi dishes that just hits right, combining everything I love in a roll. The presentation alone is stunning; each slice is topped with thick, colorful layers of tuna, shrimp, salmon, and yellowtail, like a little seafood rainbow. You can tell just by looking at it that the fish is top-notch, super fresh, and sliced with care.The flavor combination is incredible. The tuna is rich and velvety, with that buttery texture that just melts as soon as it hits your tongue. The shrimp adds a sweet, almost briny note that's balanced perfectly by the mild, clean taste of the yellowtail. And the salmon--wow. It's soft and silky, and the way it pairs with the creamy avocado inside the roll is so satisfying. Each fish brings its own thing to the table, and they're all different, but somehow they work together to make each bite really pop.Inside the roll, you've got perfectly ripe avocado and a crisp bite from the cucumber. The avocado adds a smooth, almost buttery layer that wraps the flavors together, while the cucumber is that refreshing crunch you need to keep everything balanced. Every bite has this amazing texture mix--soft, creamy, and crunchy.It's just an overall standout roll. Nothing's overdone; the freshness of the fish and the simple ingredients speak for themselves. It's like Sushi Matsuri's way of letting the quality shine, and it definitely does.

Staycay in Waiks so try to find different places to go that are also child friendly. Hit up Stix since there is variety. Since we had ramen the night before, I didn't want noodles. They were very nice and also have a kama'aina special...always a plus. Hubs got the sushi special which was 6 pieces assorted nigiri for like $10. Can't beat that. He said was good. Tamago was HUUUUUGE. Baby at most of it.Also got baby miso soup...she loves her miso soup! Ordered the charshu with avo. Pretty good. 1st piece not as tender, but the rest were. Baby and hubs liked it.Felt like I needed greens, so got the Tofu Avo salad. Always Avo since baby loves it. She also grinded the tofu. Not a fan of the greens.Tempura assortments. Shrimps a little smaller than thought, but otherwise all cooked well. Baby ate the carrot and potato and imitation crab. She was pretty happy after the meal. Hubs and I were content also. Easy place and not bad foods...I'd go back.

My wife and I were out and got a little hungry and wandered into the Stix Asia Food Hall, an amazing and fabulous food hall with some amazing little restaurants. He were in the mood for a little sushi and really enjoyed Sushi Matsuri. The fish was so fresh and delicious!! We would definitely eat here again when returning to Hawaii!!

Very good sushi solid price great quality and super under ground ;). 10/10 recommend if you're looking for the authentic sushi experience! Service was great. Ambiance was perfect.

Super cool spot super yummy. Lots of seating different varieties as it's located in the shopping center with all the other good food. Everything I got was really delicious friendly staff good customer service order did not take long at all.

One of my favorite food is Japanese. Food here is very very good , very friendly service too. Nice clean seating area as well. Be sure to show your local ID with a discount, also ask for parking sticker. It's cheaper parking.

You have to go down the escalator into the food hall to find this place but the sushi tasted so fresh and delicious and their lunch deals are fantastic! I got the 6 piece nigiri set for only $10 (they have a limited amount apparently), the egg custard and an extra eel nigiri!

Delicious ahi sashimi! The rolls are giant so worth the cost. Service and location are top notch.Will definitely return!

We venture out to Waikiki to go to a specific store but wanted to eat lunch before shopping, as I could feel myself getting hangry. Was so happy to hear that the food court was opened! We were about to go to our favorite shop but decided to see what else was out there... saw Sushi Matsuri and their tendon looked killers. We decided on this place and the server thanked us for coming in. We got two tendons and omg, this was soooooo good! 5 SHRIMPS and the flavor and the rice were delish! It was way cheaper than the other place too! We will definitely be back! Arigato !!

I have to admit I was unsure about this place until we received our food. It was very good. Their special soy sauce is rich and flavorful. Don't let the food court style location and the laminated picture menus fool you: it's solid sushi.
