Sushi Man - Mililani

Mililani Sushi man was always my families go to restaurant for craving sushi or for throwing large parties . Well not anymore. We threw a holiday party and ordered a platter from Sushi Man. What we got was ripped off!! All the sushi they made shrank and the cone sushi maybe had a tablespoon of rice in it. Cone is suppose to be fat with rice, ours was thin!! Come on people, rice is so cheap!!! We didn't get a full platter as advertised!!

I was hoping for a few warm soft slices of fish on a cold blustery day. Instead I had cold rubbery slices on one choice and tepid chewy tempura in the other. Ah well, I guess it was a good reminder of why I rarely stop here for a quick bite. The shop is small and crowded, but clean. The very nice woman behind the counter was quick to help me with suggestions and truly wanted me to have a positive experience. If I had stayed I'd have asked about the temperature of the unagi and would have suggested she mention it to the person making the food in the back room. I didn't go in expecting much, and I'm sad to say that that's exactly what I got- not much out of the experience. I truly hope that it's just my visit, and I know that they've been there for a long time, which tells me that they have many happy customers. I don't think I'll go back, but I wouldn't turn my nose up if someone brought a platter to a potluck. I'm sorry that I didn't get the chance to give my feedback in person.

Here at sushi man, you'll always get a man answering the phones. Making the sushi, taking care of the 3rd parties etc. He does everything unless he has one other person then he does everything but the cashing out and making the boba. But it's very quiet and nice. Homey feeling and everything was good overall and at a reasonable price I think.

Great sushi place.It's a good place to go when you want a simple meal.I ordered Spicy Ahi Don, the staff was friendly and it was delicious.

Three stars for the customer service. The girl at the counter was very friendly and polite. I'd give her 5 stars but that would be credit to the food that wasn't so.The tiger maki was my son's favorite and that was about it!. We ordered the tempura shrimp udon. The size of the tempura shrimp for the udon is the same size as the shrimp on the e-bikes nigiri, which we also ordered! Not even joking! See picture. I should've listened to the reviews but oh well! The sushi look boring therefore unappealing! No kind of garnish on them. The baked dynamite was a bust! I get it it's a fast food sushi type of establishment but you can still make it good and somewhat worth our dollar. The employees are really nice though! I

This is a response to Darrell A as my manager could not reply.I'm sorry. The cashier mistakenly entered $98.17 instead of $93.17. I was too busy yesterday to check, but I reviewed it today and tried to call you, but you didn't answer. I also received a notification from the credit card company that the service charge is 3.5%. I will ensure proper staff training in the future to prevent this from happening again. If you understand could you update review.

12/13/24 I purchased 2 platters totaling $93.17 with tax. As I walked to my car I noticed the 2nd receipt totaling $101.61 with no breakdown of charges other than "quick item". I went back and questioned the counter person who claimed no knowledge of why the difference until she spoke to her manager in the back who said the difference was the fee for using a credit credit. I said to the girl you made no mention of the fee or I would've paid cash. She said I mentioned this to you and I quickly cut her off and said BS and she quickly said oh sorry. Her boss came out and pointed to a small sign reminding customers of the 3% feet tonite a CC. I said that sign is so small and irregardless something should have been said prior to paying. Then I figured out the difference between the first receipt and the quick item receipt and the difference represented a difference of 9.04% not 3.0% and brought it up to the girl. The girl said no one ever checks and they're fine with it! I said how do you know?! You're ripping customers off. She said she's not involved with that stuff. Her boss came out and said he'll pay me back the $8+ dollars when I pick up my order at 5;00 today and rushed to the back saying he couldn't talk to me as he was too busy! WTH!!! Stay away from this place. I'm gonna check my order later to make sure I get all sushi in each platter I paid for! I already called the DCCA and filed a formal complaint.Darrell Avery 284-4810

Simple and delicious sushi. The staff was extremely helpful and kind. Great place to go for a simple, quick, high quality sushi meal.

Pretty nice sushi place. Its fast and easy to get and service is decent. Great place to go if you're craving fast and nice sushi. Spicy poke is sooo good.
