Surf Garage

I stumbled upon Surf Garage when I was looking for new fins for my board. I haven't surfed in years after I had kids- so I'm just getting back in to surfing. I wanted some advice about possibly getting a new board that would better suit me now, and the guy took so much time to chat with me and give me his valuable insight. I didn't feel rushed or like I inconvenienced him at all. It was really nice to just throw ideas back and forth and listen to his suggestions. I learned that this is a family business and has been here for many years. The father and mother started the shop and the son works there too. I love to support places like this! I ended up snagging my fins and a hat and a sticker- he gave my daughter a sticker for free! It was such a sweet experience. Will def be back in the future!

The best surf shop on Oahu by far. Toru is connected and forgot more than most know about surfing.

Japanese people and stores usually have great customer service. But not here. No greeting when you walk in. Then overall bad customer service. Went in to buy something but left because I don't be to support a shop that lacks basic aloha skills. Go elsewhere.

This place is so cool, great selection ofOld school surf boards new and used. The longboard selection was really good. If looking for a legit log then this is the spot. They also will store your boards.

Everyone who works here is really friendly and they have a good selection of boards and fins. Wax is a little expensive ($3) but I still go here for everything because they are so nice!

Still solid at five stars but I like this place so much for surf gear and accessories, and they have such a cool logo, that I bought a bunch of stuff for friends on the mainland as their Christmas gifts. Super great shop, extra cool owner family. I wrapped them hard on my scooter too

5++ stars! First of all, outstanding customer service! I was looking for a used surf board, and was overwhelmed at another shop. Decided to drop by here and got really lucky ! They had a smaller selection, but happened to be better quality boards. And the same price ! I ended up buying a bunch of accessories. I really needed help to put on the fins and leash. They really didn't have to, and I felt bad for asking, but they helped me anyways and did an amazing job. I am very grateful and walked out a very happy customer !

The employee who tried to "help me" did nothing but make me feel like he was talking down on me the whole time.

The people who work here are amazing! The older Japanese man (owner?) has helped me with my surf shopping countless times. He guided me to the perfect fin for my new board, and even screwed it in for me when I was struggling in the parking lot. I couldn't ask for better customer service. They have great selection of new and used boards, fins, and cute surf attire. I love to go in just to browse...but browsing usually turns into buying, oops.

Always friendly service and great selection and prices of anything you need. Whenever I go, it's never pressure sales and they are always happy to answer any of my kook questions even if I don't buy anything! Shop has got a great vide and it's super important we support local Mom and Pop businesses! Love this shop!
