Okonomiyaki Fries. The flavors are pungently fishy, umami, savory, and sweet. Highly recommend if you're into more fishy-type flavors.

Pau Hana Punch. I couldn't detect the mango, but I was able to taste the strawberry; evidenced by the tangy sweet flavors.

This is a pool/beach view restaurant, and the sunsets here are phenomenal, no doubts about that. The food was ok, but I guess it's expected you're here paying for the ambiance, not the quality. For 3 people, we opted for the smoked fish dip and the Vietnamese steak. The fish dip was a bit salty, but honestly still great. It only came with 4 small pieces of bread, and given the amount of salt in the dip, we asked for more. Later, we found out on the bill it was $3 extra for 3 small pieces of bread. The steak was very unique, the au jus was made from pho broth. That was cool and the steak was cooked well. The ginger friend rice that came with it definitely fell flat. We ended up mixing the smoked fish dip with the rice since one was too salty and one lacked flavor, silly combo but it workedThe service was also ok. It felt like we were trying to chase down our server. It was hard to flag her down for the check and extra utensils. After asking her for an extra fork at the bar, she brought over a wooden to go fork... which was weird given that this is at the Ritz Carlton and we are paying resort prices.

Absolutely beautiful view of the beach! We originally sat at the bar, but slowly migrated out to a few lounge chairs closer to the water. Intermittent rain was fun as we watched people run for cover and then back out to their seats (we may or may not have been said people). No reservations needed; just wander over and find a seat. THE FOOD. - Okonomiyaki Fries | House tare (sauce), wasabi aioli, ao nori (seaweed flakes), katsuo flakes (thinly shaved & dried fermented fish), and diced green onion. The flavors are pungently fishy, umami, savory, and sweet. I loved it so much! Highly recommend if you're into more fishy-type flavors. THE DRUNK DRINKS. - Big Wave Golden Ale | Refreshingly crisp with tropical fruity notes and slightly malty. Perfect beer for the beach!- Sunset's Mai Tai | Citrusy with a lingering caramel finish. Comes with a pineapple wedge. - Mango Cart | I couldn't detect the mango notes, but I have faith it's in there. - Pau Hana Punch | Again, I couldn't detect the mango, but I was able to taste the strawberry; evidenced by the tangy sweet flavors. THE PARKING.Park at the Turtle Bay Resort's self parking and walk through the hotel to get to the bar. Parking is free, but it's difficult to find an open spot. COMING BACK? Absolutely would love to come back one day. The beach views are spectacular.

Stopped in for pupus to meet guests at Sunset at the pool of Turtles Bay resort. With the new flag making the resort a Ritz, it appears many upgrades have been made. The setting absolutely could not be nicer and the winter waves made the sea mesmerizing! The pupus were delicious, the garlic shrimp were huge! But the two standouts here were the Service and the View. Drinks were also delicious and there are great options for nonalcoholic beverages.

Ambiance is 12/10! Can't beat this bar with an amazing ocean view by the pool at Turtle Bay. They have a few TVs to catch games as well. Service has always been friendly. Go for their drinks but I'd save your appetite for other restaurant areas of Turtle Bay like Roy's at their lagoon.

Ate here multiple times while lounging at the pool. The food is pretty good just like the other restaurants at Turtle Bay. You have spectacular views of the ocean and the hotel from here. The only challenge was that service was spotty and slow multiple times.

Beautiful view of the ocean and surfers. Had a Pina Colada and a Lava Flow and hubby had an Old Fashioned. Loved the Pina Colada, but the Lava Flow was a bit too sweet for me. We also got the guacamole and chips which was good. The setting offered a great view of the ocean and the perfect sunset. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a relaxing place to chill and rel

You have to bring your own Cokes. As part of the Ritz Carlton's economization efforts they now have a Coke substitute. Prior to their takeover, the Sunset Pool had genuine Coke products. Easy to bring your own Cokes, available at Walmart and other places. The food here is good, although the menu is VERY small. Nice ocean views, and a friendly staff. They do NOT add a surcharge for using a credit card. If they did, I would stop using this establishment.
