Sumo Ramen & Curry is located on the ground level of Market City Shopping Center between L&L Hawaiian Barbecue and Fujioka's Wine Times. You can dine in or get take out. I recommend calling in your take out order. It's been a long time since I ate here but one night I was craving curry but was super tired to drive far. My first choice to order take out from was unavailable. I called multiple times but the line was always busy. Hunger set in so I decided to go to Sumo Ramen & Curry. It didn't take me long to decide. I wanted curry so I immediately looked at the Curry Rice menu section. Since I couldn't remember much about my last dining experience here, I felt that ordering from the Curry Combo section was safest since it offered variety just in case I didn't like what I ordered. I decided to order their Mochiko Chicken Curry Combo. Called it in and they told me it'll be ready in 10 minutes. When I arrived about 10 minutes later, I was surprised by how busy they were. The table in front and counter was filled with take out orders. They also had a ton of people dining in. My order was ready so I paid and left. Their Mochiko Chicken Curry Combo comes with Mochiko Chicken Curry over rice, Gyoza and a bowl of Ramen/Saimin. It reminded me more of Saimin than Ramen. The portion was adequate and I was full. For some reason, I feel like this was the exact same order I ate the last time I came here lol. It was something quick and easy but I'm happy to see how busy they are. Much continued success for them!

Stopped here for lunch because was shopping next door at Ben Franklin. Such a big and diverse menu but just ordered the won ton ramen. Service was quick and friendly. The noodles were nice and chewy and the broth not too salty. The wontons could have used more meat in them but was okay. I saw the server walk by with the seafood crispy noodles and looked amazing. Prices are very reasonable. I will definitely return.

The curry combo was delicious and such a great value. I asked for more carrots in the beef curry and I got it! The curry was flavorful and the beef was tender. The ramen was tasty and their broth was clear and rich. Then their gyoza is filled with veggies and pork. Pan fried crispyOur server's name was Po and she was friendly and helpful! We found a great place to have a reasonable, quick and delicious satisfying meal. It's on the bottom of Market City by Ben Franklin and L&L.It's been around for a while but we just came across a "new" place for us to dine out!

I haven't had their ramen in a long time. Usually I don't trust places like this for ramen. It has to be a legit ramen spot. However, I will vouch for their mochiko chicken and curry with white rice $12.50. The curry from here is always on point. The yellow curry is thick and flavorful. The mochiko chicken has a slight crisp. There's a hint of sweetness to it from the batter. It's one of the best mochiko chickens that I've had. They also give a lot of chicken and white rice. The plate was filled and heavy. It would have lasted me three meals.

We came here with my parents a few weekends ago after a bon dance. It was my first time in a long time. My parents love it here at Sumo Ramen. And I can see why.The meals are pretty cheap and you get a lot of food when you order combination meals. Five out of six of us ordered combination meals. The combination meals came with ramen, fried rice, and gyoza and it was around $15! What a steal. I once went to a ramen place where just the ramen was $25. The service was right on and they came quickly to take our order and fill our waters. I ordered the won ton ramen combination. I thought the ramen was okay. I've had better tasting won ton and ramen at other places. But I liked the fried rice that came with the combination. They make the rice with peas and carrots but since my dad is a regular, he ordered it without peas and carrots. I followed his lead and did the same. I just don't think peas and carrots belong in fried rice. The rice was good. I think it was the best part of the combination meal. If you're in the neighborhood go and check out Sumo Ramen. You will be able to stretch your dollar since it's so affordable.

I just had the best chicken katsu curry combo I've had in a long time. The Chicken katsu was on point and the panko was not coming off the chicken and the chicken was moist. My only complaint would be the sweetness of the curry. The Saimin was delicious and the noodles were perfect I think I could've had a large Saimin on this visit. My favorite dish of the evening was the potato croquettes which were delightfully crunchy on the outside and soft and creamy on the inside. The contrast of textures made my whole day complete. I'm coming back maybe the curry was the batch made today?

I usually order here through DoorDash or some other delivery app and had good experiences overall! But I went here in person with my boyfriend for the first time on Thursday night cus it was my birthday and felt like having curry All the employees there was so nice! It wasn't crowded at the time we went so service was good and fast. Our server was really nice and even gave us some extra gyoza! (I think it was extra cus we didn't order a side of gyoza lol) I was pleasantly surprised! We did both order gyoza curry so I think that's why? But still! Such a sweet thing to do. Will definitely come back sometime in the future (: I think I'll try eat there in person more too. Tastes so much better fresh ^^

This place is unassuming but if you're hungry for fast food ramen/curry, this is the place. It is affordable and no-nonsense. It is also always warm inside if you dine in. I always get the curry udon. Mochiko chicken is also one you can't go without. Also on a side note: my stomach always hurts afterwards. I'm not sure why, maybe cause i overindulge or maybe there's a particular ingredient my stomach doesn't like. Either way, I always say I won't return but.....I do. Parking is in the shopping center.

The food was great ! I ordered the spicy beef ramen bundle (substituted the noodles for udon noodles at an extra cost) which comes with the ramen, 4 pc gyoza, and fried rice. Everything in the bundle was great, the spicy was level was perfect in my opinion, the gyoza's and fried rice were very flavorful. I also ordered the cold tofu which did not disappoint. My husband ordered the chicken katsu curry combo which came with the chicken katsu curry, ramen, and 4 pc gyoza. These portions of the combos are great, you're definitely full after eating them but not bloated. The only reason I didn't give five stars is because I ordered wontons to put inside of the spicy beef udon and the amount meat inside of them were very very small (about 5% meat to 95% wrap) that is honestly the only complaint I have about the entire restaurant. The service was great, we were the only people dining in everyone else seemed to be taking out so I'm not sure the difference it would make if the place was packed. Our server was super sweet and very attentive to our every need. The inside of the restaurant was small but cute, like most hole in the wall ramen restaurants. We sat at the first table down the walkway, I think I saw a larger area that opened up a ways down but I'm not sure how big that area is. Overall I enjoyed my experience and would definitely go back and recommend this place!
