I really don't understand the hate for this place - they have huge, crazy, amazing food, it's a ton of fun, the servers are nice, and yet, today for lunch it was basically empty. I had zero problems, food was great quality, fries were extra good, as was the huge burger and crazy shake! It isn't any more expensive than other sit down fast casual restaurants, they have a big menu with lots of choices...honestly, I hope y'all stay away so I can go all the time and not have to wait! LOVED it, but I'm not looking for snobby Michelin star type stuff. Will definitely be back!Came back on Sunday night - epic again!

First impressions when coming in was the place was kinda dirty and neglected. Menus and tables were sticky.Ordered the wagyu burger well done. It came on the verge of mooing it was so raw, but that wasn't even the worst of it, worst part was the stench that it had, smelled a lot like old ground beef or it was left out all night. The next day I actually got a little sick so I'm pretty sure it was from that. The service was not good at all we had 3 servers ignoring everyone and on their phones while the bartender(which was the only good worker actually) did everything. Overall it was just sad to see this place like that, it gave off as if everyone just gave up already and it showed in the food, service, and cleanliness.

It was a Saturday night and we stopped by to have some dessert to celebrate a friend's birthday. It wasn't too busy, not many tables filled but service was quite slow. The menu looked like it been through a lot, the floor was slippery, and the table was sticky. Expected much more.We shared basket of fries ($7), the classic sundae and new york cheesecake among the six of us. We already had dinner so this was more than enough to satisfy our sugar needs =). A nice balance of salty crispy fries with the sugary loaded ice cream, YUMMY!

In short, all Sugar Factories are not created equally. I prefer the Las Vegas Strip Sugar Factory over the Honolulu Sugar Factory. We were greeted almost immediately upon walking into the restaurant and seated within minutes. Great! We were seated at our table for almost 20 minutes before the hostess who seated us asked if we've been helped yet. She apologized and then minutes later, our server came to our table letting us know that she didn't know this was her table. Not so great. For the duration of our visit, we experienced the same slow service with no sense of urgency whatsoever. While we waited for our food, I went over to peruse the candy shop. Be forewarned, it's more of a candy corner with two shelves of candy, unlike their store on the Las Vegas strip that boasts dozens of square feet of candy shelves and displays. The food? Overall ok. We ordered an appetizer platter, clubhouse sandwich, and Birria tacos. The sampler platter comes with onion rings, chicken tenders, mac and cheese pops, and buffalo wings. We substituted the wings for more onion rings. The mac and cheese pops were generously portioned. The surprise hero was the chicken tenders. Most places get this wrong, 9 times outta 10. The chicken is usually dried out, overcooked, and you have to try to salvage it with the dipping sauce. To my surprise, their chicken tenders were moist on the inside and extra crispy and flavorful on the outside. I dipped it in the ranch sauce it was accompanied with, but it wasn't really necessary.I opted for the Birria Tacos knowing that Sugar Factory isn't an authentic Mexican restaurant, but I was in the mood for it. The dish came with three tacos alongside of sour cream, birria sauce and a really tiny portion of Mexican rice and beans. Tiny as in, I wouldn't be surprised if I got a tablespoon each of rice and beans tiny. They were generous with the meat, which fell out of each taco as I ate them. The flavor was good. The bar is pretty impressive with shelves lined with drinks that run all the way up to the ceiling. After all, they're known for their goblet drinks. Goblet drinks run $42 each ($32 for non-alcoholic) and many are designed and tasted by a celebrity. For example, the Strawberry Lemonade Smash was designed and tasted by Snoop Dogg. Other specialty drinks include martinis and margaritas. Lots to choose from. The ambiance is bright, hip, and the restaurant is endorsed by celebrities. The cover of the menu is covered with headshots of the Kardashians, Bruno Mars, 50 Cent, and more. On one side of the restaurant, a large TV screen replays celebrities dining at Sugar Factories across the nation. Maybe I would've had a better experience if I had tried one of their dozens of oversized drinks or generously portioned desserts, but because of the slow service, I was over it. If we decide to dine there again, I'll make sure we're not hungry to begin with since the speed of service expectation has been set for us at such a low bar.

Sugar factory goes overboard on aesthetic generally and this location is no different. Perfectly instagramable, this location has a very pretty patio in the Ala Moana mall, however when we went the inside was sweltering hot for a relatively calm and ambient day. The appetizer sampler was very good, but I am very simple when it comes to buffalo wings so there is perhaps bias. My wife and I shared the mimosa flight, something my head is grateful for. All our drinks were delicious. The menu is reasonably priced for the location and area. The flatbread was good but could have been crisper. The service was okay but we went first thing when they opened and getting started. I would go again when visiting the mall, but I didn't order any mains and cannot attest to those.

What an awful experience! If you have food allergies DO NOT go here. The servers do not know what's in the food. We told the server there was a celiac allergy and dairy before ordering. I ordered the fries- they came out with no ketchup or condiments on the table. We asked for ketchup By this time I had ate a few and they were lightly breaded (it was a few minutes) we called a server over and yup they were breaded. They took them back and then a minute later drop off ketchup- ummm what??The tortillas were supposed to be homemade corn. My chicken tacos come out they looked weird and were dropped without the rice and beans which we have to ask for. I eat one taco and realize they are not just corn.. they then bring out the rice and beans the beans are covered in cheese. We ask again about the tortillas and have them take the beans back. They look and said on the package it says corn.. Package? They were supposed to be made in house.. The beans come back out I eat a few bites they have dairy in them I can taste it and they tasted rancid.. We call a manager over she says the beans are in a can but her cooks could have added dairy she didn't know. At this point my throat is swelling I'm having a hard time swallowing. I had to have my friend rush to target to buy allergy meds so I could stop the swelling. It was an awful night of pain. Worse experience I have ever had. Do not eat here. Zero stars if possible!

. I think they are known for their yummy drinks and their desserts. I food was ok. Service was also ok. It was friendly but they weren't as attentive as I would have wanted them to be. They forgot some of the things we asked for. Other than that, very cute place. This is a great place for birthdays and celebrations

The space is quite big and very decorative. Sugar Factory is visible by Gen and Macaroni Grill. We had a reservation and sat outside, which had a good amount of seating. However, we saw that some of the seats had stains and markings. We decided to sit anyway and we ended up ordering a few things such as the watermelon patch drink, a coffee, and grilled cheese. My friend enjoyed the watermelon drink and the coffee was OK. However, the grilled cheese tasted a bit odd and a tad too greasy for me. There are a lot of other food items to try on the menu but next time, I think we would just stick to the sweet stuff!

My best friend and I came to eat dinner and have a couple drinks! We had the best bartender and waiter, Stuart was not only training another server but he was always checking on us if we needed anything! He was patient and kind and always asked if he could get us anything. Also made us the best drinks. We never had to ask for assistance he always explained everything to us!
