Studio 909Is located in the Musician' Association of Hawai'iNice clean venue. With restroomsAcross of Blaisdell on Kapiolani BlvdWe parked on the Kapiolani-- after 6:30, free street parking. The venue allows you to bring in your own food and beverage (from what I could observed around me)The featured band --Ohana Jazz HawaiiNoel Okimoto, drumsDean Taba 6 string electric bassTommy James, keyboardsAbe Lagrimas, vibraphoneAllen Won, sax, fluteRobert Shinoda, GuitarWow--blown away by these musicians. You can see and hear the passion and collaboration between these members as they make eye contact to cue each other's solos, riffing off of each other. I remember seeing Noel guest with the UH jazz ensemble in the early 90's and Abe play a concert at Halekulani ballroom early in his career. They also featured talented high school musicians--giving the young people a venue to practice their jazz/ performance chops!I left whistling and humming the last song Herbie Hancock's, Chameleon. See IG @ohanajazzhawaii for their Studio 909 dates
