I do love a good pork belly lunch option! Great service, fast food with table seating nearby. It's fun to people watch everyone navigating the food court and all the options. They do DoorDash also.

Street Eats is the newest addition to the Maunakea Marketplace Food Court. They are next to Lime and you just need to look for the "blue food truck" there. They have been there about 2 months. Dine in is possible if you're able to find a seat but I opted for takeout. The food court tables and chairs were relatively clean but they were quite full around lunch so takeout was a better option. Their food stall was very clean and everything looked new. They offer a different weekly special that they announce on their IG. This is a husband and wife operation with the husband in front as cashier and the wife in the kitchen. The husband was friendly and they didn't take long to get my order out. You can see the care they take to prepare each order. After looking at the menu, I ordered their Cheeseburger Add Deluxe and Bacon. There wasn't an explanation or photos of what Add Deluxe is so I just went for it. It turns out that the Add Deluxe is the veggies (tomato, lettuce and onions). Since I'm kinda a fatty, I also ordered a Chicken Sandwich and side of Fries (extra crispy) to try. The chicken comes tossed in either a BBQ or Buffalo sauce. If you're not a sauce fan, it can be plain (option I chose). I was able to get both sauces on the side to try. Both the burger and chicken sandwich were good. They fried the chicken well as it wasn't oily and moist inside. The fries were still crunchy when I got home and it was salted perfectly. Great option for good food in Maunakea Marketplace Food Court! 4.5 stars

Street Eats is a little food jewel tucked away in Maunakea Market Place. When you want great food at a great price this is the place to come. The owners are great down to earth people to sit and chat with about food or social events when there is time. Street Eats provides an alternate choice from the norm. They have their regular menu but added to that are their specials. Burgers, pork belly, Mac n cheese and moo ping are just a few from the regular menu. Oxtail soup, smoke brisket, onion soup is a sample of their specials. I'm working my way through their menu and trying every special as they pop up. I'm sure I'll be posting more of my food adventures with Street Eats so stay tuned. Stop by and check out the menu and specials, you won't be disappointed. I will probably see you there.

SUPPORT LOCAL! And this place is worth your support, because in this day and age, their prices are actually very, very competitive, and the food is good to boot. They open at 9am, which is great because I will consider them before a place that opens at 11am or something like that and I have to wait. Whenever I try a new place I have to have their loco moco; it's a thing I do because if you mess up something as simple as this simple dish, then I will not have confidence in the rest of the menu. Welp, it was a very good LM: gravy and patty was tasty, and for only $11! I say "only" because all the other places average anywhere from $15 - $22, which is absolutely ridiculous. The only qualm I had is no mac salad to balance the LM, but they suggested to get their cole slaw. It didn't match with the LM, but by itself it was actually pretty good. Thumbs up on their LM. We also got their fried pork belly (similar to their "sister" restaurant: The Nighthawk), and it was just perfect. Wicked crunch and very tasty, perfect with the accompanied vinegar sauce. And their chicken sandwich was good as well. Located in the Mauna Kea Marketplace in Chinatown, your best bet is to park in the Maunakea municipal parking lot. Their rates are still fairly cheap, and height restriction is 6'8", which should accommodate most vehicles (mine clears barely a couple inches). Second parking choice is Chinatown Municipal parking structure a couple blocks or so away, which has only one level of parking, but again, prices are fairly cheap compared to other garages and street parking. The eating area isn't the most attractive, with costco tables and chairs, so bring your own disinfectant wipes to clean your eating area. The owners are absolutely friendly, and seem to be very proud of their establishment. Good, I know food tastes better when that's the case.

SUPER ONOLICIOUS!!! I'm so happy that I decided to order food here! I was drawn in by the owner's sweet smile and inviting aura. I was hANGRY and didn't know where to eat and running into her made it a breeze to order. I ordered the pork belly w/ rice. They're pretty thick pieces which I appreciate because you get this thick crispy layer of fat goodness followed by the moist meat that melts in your mouth. Make sure you dip the pork belly in the vinegar sauce! It's a MUST. I also enjoyed the pickled cucumbers on the side. It's a great palate cleanser and cuts through those fatty bites. Ugh! I got myself hungry again lol. Trust. I came back the next day to order take out for my hubby because he got salty that I didn't bring home leftovahs to sample.Honestly, these owners are just simply down to earth and enjoys serving others through their food and it definitely shows! I definitely want and WILL come back to try other dishes but realistically, I might just order the pork belly again and you should too!

I was greeted by one of the owners and had to try this place at the Maunakea Marketplace Food Court. I figured that when people have a good vibe, it gets translated to their food. I had the special, ox tail soup, and you could tell that the soup was made with love and captured the flavors of the chef/owner's mother. It reminded me of my mom's oxtail stew from many years past. I look forward to returning to try their French Onion soup and burgers!
