One of my workmates decided he wanted to try the dish I had a couple of weeks ago after my rave review. Three of us ordered it ... Grilled Gochujang Shortrib over Kimchi Fried Rice.I thought it was perfect ... the others thought it was too salty. Hey, it's gochujang smothered meat grilled to perfection over highly spiced kimchi fried rice. Of course it's going to be somewhat salty.I loved my dish and can recommend this place. A word of warning ... even if you pre-order and set a pickup time, you may have to wait.

They had plenty of eating options at the event I saw them at on O'ahu! The Jumbo Shrimp Katsu is what grabbed my attention and it looked so ono! But another customer got their deep fried oreos and they said it was bomb as well!- Miguel Morales Photography

Had their Jumbo Shrimp Katsu plate lunch today as we were in the area of the Sand Island Access Rd. We had it earlier this year and loved it, but I didn't leave a review on it. Happy to report, the quality and quantity of the Shrimp katsu roll is still amazing. If all they sold was this plate, I would still come back again and again. It is crispy, filled with chopped up Shrimp and served with a mayonnaise unagi sauce drizzle. It has a little heat, but nothing to worry about. Also served with a nice micro green salad and a roll. Yes, a roll, no Mac salad. However, I don't know if this was the intention of providing a roll, but I took a chunk out of one of my Shrimp katsu rolls, split my bread roll and put the katsu piece inside the roll and ate it. It was another great way to enjoy this item. The staff is nice. Parking is available outside, but if coming at lunch time, prepare to fight for a space with all the workers in the area.

This review is for their take out brick and motor shop on Sand Island Access Rd. Glad that they are located close to my workplace. I ordered from them bunch of times when they are at pop up events. I love their "Town and Country" plate that comes with Teri beef, shrimp katsu, fried noodles, and rice. This plate is hefty and comes with a lot of food! They also sell bentos here too. Their Str'eats bento comes with a lot of stuffs: Teri beef, fish katsu, hot dog, shrimp katsu, and spam with fried noodles and rice. Food here is yummy!

Finally found the chance to try this food truck at the Sat Pearlridge shopping center's Village Market. Love how they have a display of all their plates - makes it easier to choose. Went on the early side (6) and it was crowded. Lots of people waiting for their order. Took 15 minutes for my guava smoked meat plate. Didn't say it was pork belly/pork so it was a pleasant surprise since I was expecting beef but much prefer pork! Guava sauce was delicious. Round Onions added flavor. Smoked meat can be dry but since most of it was pork belly it balanced out the dryness with the pork belly fat. Other pieces were a little drier, but since hubby kept taking those other pieces (his meal was long gone since I had to wait 15 minutes for mine), it was ok. Not sure if you can sub anything for the roll that came in the plate (so you can make a slider?) since I didn't ask, but daughter ate it. It was just a roll, no butter so "meh." Salad was good. Rice quality was good. Overall a pretty decent meal. The pork mozzarella cutlet with chorizo gravy looked good (large piece of cutlet), but I didn't try it since I'm not a chorizo fan. May ask for the sauce they put on their katsu dishes instead if I decide to try it next time.

Delish! Got to try the loaded salmon (I think) at an event to support local businesses at Bank of Hawaii main branch. It was raining but they still slowed up and THANK YOU! The salmon was awesome and very tasty! Service was fast and workers were nice. My daughter had the jumbo shrimp (no pic) with fried noodles which was also yummy! So much food, we had enough to enjoy for dinner too! Hope they come again or I gotta go visit their regular spot.

i have always bought food from this truck at the different food truck venues and recommended it to my co-workers at the BOH event today. The food never disappoints. However, I gave 3 stars for the service I received today since I waited a long time for my noodles and the people in back of me who ordered 2-3 plates each got their plates before me. My co-workers ordered after me and they got their plate before me. I got tired of waiting and approached the window and asked how long more??? She took my ticket and looked at her counter that apparently had my plate sitting there and didn't say anything nor apologized for overlooking it! Sooo upset! The wait time took most of my lunch hour. If the food wasn't worth it, I wouldn't go back! But the food is ono!

We had heard from a few friends that we had to try their food and they were not wrong. Huge portions for a decent price and tasty and heck! We were able to catch them at a food truck pop up on a weekend and also picked up food for my office during the week at their Sand Island location. They are not "fast food", they are "good food" so just be prepared to wait a little while for your order. Must have for me are definitely the char siu fried noodles. The noodles are thick and starchy, which I look for in a good fried noodle dish. You can add any protein for $5 additional. The giant shrimp katsu is awesome! I've also had it with the honey Mac nut chicken. The chicken is on the sweeter side (I'd prefer it with rice, so get the plate instead) but oh so yummy! Definitely want to try the grilled guava chicken the next chance I get. You can follow their IG account to see where their weekend pop-ups are.

I have to say, I was thoroughly impressed with the selection. Str'Eats of Aloha brought their baby blue food truck to Hawaiian Airlines yesterday and after looking at the menu I went out to enjoy the Guava smoked meat. Unfortunately this time they werent selling it which initially was a bummer but as a lover of southern smoked brisket I decided to try their Brisket and gravy plate. The price was very affordable and after a short wait i was handed a semi heavy plate( they dont hold out when it comes to portion size). The brisket was super tender and full of flavor especially with the delicious gravy . I will definitely be looking out for this truck again in the future to support and try out the rest of the menu. Mahalo.
