If I could give this place a 6/5 I would.I have loved Stortos for over 10 years, every time I go to the North Shore I HAVE to grab a Waimea Sandwich to eat on the beach. The bread is sweet, the perfect amount of meat, the sprouts are refreshing, but what makes it the best is the papaya dressing.Local business that should get more recognition.

Visited Storto's in Haleiwa town while on a fun little island drive. The parking situations not great - there are a few spots right out front but this is shared with Nalu health bar. The past 2 times we've come it was full, we just opted to park down the street and take the short walk over.I have seen the shop get super busy with lines and people waiting, but we lucked out and there was no wait for our sandwiches. Half subs are $12.50 and full subs are $25. It sounds pricy but these guys are HUGE, and well worth the price tag. Note that they are CASH ONLY.While there's nothing *standout* about Storto's, they have good huge old fashioned subs that just hit the spot. This time I went with an Ali'i half sandwich - I tried something new and added fresh jalapeños and it really added the *zing* I was looking for. The combo of the spicy & the papaya seed dressing was perfect. If ever you're in Haleiwa and don't feel like eating garlic shrimp, check out Storto's!

Storto's is the best for quick, mean sandwiches. Portions are huge-- half order of a sub is enough for one person. Papaya dressing is a must try! Wait was not long, there's benches outside to eat. Parking can be tough also with Haleiwa area being packed with tourism-- but forsure amazing sandwich.

The best sandwich shop on the island. I love coming here whenever I hit up Hale'iwa town. My go to order is the Ali'i sandwich with all the vegetables options, pepper jack cheese, and papaya seed dressing (a MUST get). There's a variety of sandwich choices to select from. The sandwiches are pretty huge so it is very shareable size. You can order the full-size sandwich or opt for the half-size. There a couple parking stalls in front of the shop. The shop is a bit small as well so it could get a bit busy at times. The staff is always super friendly and service has been amazing!

Must go sandwich shop when I'm in Oahu on the north side! Only the people who know, can identify this sandwich wrapped in pink deli paper! Must try!

I'll start off by saying I went to a nearby spot last time I was in north shore because this place is "cash only" and I rarely ever carry cash. The sandwich is huge, even the half sandwich is extremely filling so that's great. They offered all the veggies and I said yes, it's lettuce, tomatoes and a couple bell peppers. Would've loved a larger vegetable selection, especially pickles, jalapeños, olives, and/or banana peppers but none were offered. The service was great, the sandwich was good and reasonably priced considering the size and tourist location. I doubt I'll ever be in the area with cash again but I'll definitely consider coming back if they accept card later down the road

PAPAYA SEED DRESSING. I'm just going to leave it on that........ If you are ever craving a sandwich and you're heading to the North Shore, stop by Storto's and get yourself a big filling sandwich with Papaya Seed dressing in it. NO REGRETS. They also have a shop in downtown so if you're craving and don't want to drive out that far, there's a closer one. I've been to this location before and let me tell you, I feel so content afterwards. Parking can be a little hard during peak times. They have maybe like 3 stalls in front IF people park nicely. There is a table outside where you can enjoy your sandwich. Luckily the last time I went, we had the whole table to ourselves and with a chicken as well. If you're not sure what you want, you can always ask what they recommend since they know what ups. They only take cash. If you have a big order or if you don't want to wait, you can always call in ahead of time.

People recommended this place, I'm thinking they meant the one downtown. Sandwiches are overpriced, if I wanted to buy just bread, I can go to the bakery. The staff, to clarify the older Blonde lady, is beyond rude, and has absolutely not customer service etiquette. There is a reason why you cannot get a hold of the Owners of the store. I feel sorry for the people that have to work there. Definitely will not visit this location on our visits again!
