Pros: This is a cute little yoga studio and Kristin has a great calm, steady voice as a yoga instructor. Go see her on Mondays and Wednesday's at 12:00. Cons: the neighborhood is sketchy and at times noisy and there is limited parking. My overall experience was enjoyable.

Hikina Yoga is just what the doctor ordered for dealing with life's stressors. I had been wanting to get into yoga for some time. Finally searched on Yelp and found Hikina Yoga right down the street from where I live. Can't beat that for convenience.Being a total newbie to yoga, I was really anxious about going to my first class which was with Eric's Aloha Yin. My anxiety was quickly soothed by Eric's soft-spoken and easy-going demeanor. I've taken Aloha Yin and Vinyasa Flow classes with Eric, Jay and Megan. All of them are awesome. Very friendly, down-to-earth and patient (especially with a novice like me). The classes not only challenge me physically but mentally as well. It's quite a workout yet I always leave class feeling relaxed and renewed. The atmosphere at Hikina Yoga is filled with such positive and comforting vibes. No judgement. No intimidation. I look forward to learning more about yoga and myself. Whether you're new to yoga or been into it for a while, I'm sure you would enjoy Hikina Yoga! Go try em, Go!

LOVE Hikina yoga!I bought the groupon for 20 classes at hikina yoga since I'm a big fan of rocket yoga. For those of you who don't know, rocket = all the best/challenging/fun poses from ashtanga put together into one class. Hikina yoga is the only studio on the island that offers rocket! I've been to a lot of studios - core power, hot yoga 8, hot yoga nimitz, open space, power yoga hawaii, purple yoga - and this is one of my favorite places. Much better workout and wayyyy less crowded than core power (think C3-type classes) at a good price. There's even a shower in the back that you can use after class.Only downside is the class times. The studio isn't very crowed yet, so there are only 3 classes a day. However, I still highly recommend this studio! Especially if you're bored with the classes at other yoga studios, try a rocket happy hour class!NB: In terms of beginner classes, there is a starship rocket class and a few rocket level 1 classes for students new to rocket and ashtanga. Still a good workout though!

Serious yoga for serious yogis. I've been attending 5 classes a week for a few months now and thoroughly enjoy the instructors and the community. The studio has great energy and deep roots.

My sister and I walked to Hikina yoga for a free class with Eric when we were in town visiting our dad. I love how Eric set up the studio. It is clean, unique and peaceful. His yoga style brought us inner peace. I enjoyed his adjustments during the class. He concluded the class with the Tibetan singing bowl meditation. What a treat! Make this place a must-go during your visit in Oahu. It adds so much harmony to your life.

This is literally the best place to visit! Whether you are stressed from a hard day of work or want to try something new, Hikina Yoga is the place to visit. There are multiple classes taught and each with a range of difficulty. Being that it's my first time trying a yoga class, I was nervous. I was not sure what to expect but the Instructor, Eric, made the class the best self-care experience ever! He motivated me and challenge my body in the best way possible. He distracts you so you exercise without even knowing it. Atmosphere of the studio is perfect! He cares for all the people who come and is more than happy to answer any questions. I'm definitely coming back again!

This studio is an oasis tucked in an alley, providing such a welcoming, intimate (& affordable) space to practice...glad I could find it! I attended 2 classes when in town for work, and plan to regularly attend whenever I'm back next. Such a strong community vibe and amazing teachers. Can't wait to return!

Hikina Yoga is my go-to! With every day and every session, I'm amazed by and proud of my body and mind for all the improvements I've noticed. So much self-love and appreciation.I absolutely love Eric's classes! The rocket style of yoga is new to me, and I've been seeing so much self-improvement that I have dedicated more consistent time to my practice. Apparently it's called Rocket Yoga because it "gets you there faster," and seriously, it really does! Especially when Eric teaches in a way that is mindful of my goals and also my physical limitations, yet he's always encouraging and aiding in helping me progress. The studio space is newly renovated and has awesome vibes. Fresh air comes through the studio to fill your lungs with nature's goodness. On the outside, there's a calming wind chime that keeps you present in the moment, lots of cool art to enjoy, and a good amount of parking space. The studio space is just so homey and inviting. All in all, I have found my go-to yoga studio, and I can't wait to see where this journey will take me! I absolutely recommend Hikina Yoga to anyone and everyone wanting to grow in yoga!

Love the Saturday morning yin yoga class. I get to stretch all those unused muscles from the busy workweek. It's more stretching over strength type yoga. Eric seems prescient about which poses my body wants!

Being new to yoga and all I was super weary of trying it out but Im so glad I did. Its nice to know there is a cute little studio right in the middle of my hood so I cant make excuses as to why I cant roll outta bed and into an hour long class of yoga. I suggest you check out their webpage & opt for the 5 for $25 first time student package perfect for the new found wanna be yogis like me. I came on a quiet monday afternoon and eric was there to welcome me. I was feeling super shy about being the only one in class that day but it worked out perfectly it felt like a personal class (seeing as I need all the help I can get ). He guided me through all the poses and even helped me modify some of them due to my lack of flexibility lol. We ended the class with a really soothing meditation. It was pretty amazing. Are all classes this good? If so idk what took me so long to attend one, but Im glad I did so that I could experience a great one.
