Snorkel Bob's Oahu

Okay so, my two sons wanted to go snorkeling yesterday. We stopped by Snorkel Bob's to rent some gear. The lady behind the counter (sorry, didn't get her name) asked where we were going go snorkeling. I told her we were headed up to Turtle beach (usually very calm). She asked if we had been there before and I said yes, last year. She typed something into her computer and asked me to come over and look. She had live video of all the popular beach which showed the waves and and how high the surf was, she said that it would be difficult to snorkel there and advised that we drive up check out the conditions and rent equipment up there, if we choose to.She didn't have to do that, she could have just rented some tourist some equipment and collected her money. The fact that she went out of her way to help me was amazing. If you want to straight answer and are looking for equipment or suggestions on where to snorkel, then this shop is for you! Thank you Snorkel Bob!

One of the rudest experiences here during my entire vacation. The person helping me had ZERO interest in explaining things. She made me choose different parts of the package without telling me that those items would be considered an upgrade until after ringing me up. Second every time I would follow up with a question to ask about certain things to clarify or ask about recommendations, she would just respond "You tell me. I'm asking you." Such a bad attitude and made me feel like I could not get what fit me best because I was too scared that I would get such an aggressive response to anything I said.The extra 1 star is for equipment which worked fine

We decided that we wanted to go snorkeling while in Hawaii but do it on our own time and not have to buy equipment that we may not use again. I checked the reviews and Snorkel Bob's of Oahu came up as the top choice so we made a reservation to rent some snorkeling gear. We showed up at our appointment time and was promptly greeted by a lady who knows anything and everything snorkeling. She was able to get my wife and daughter prescription snorkeling masks. I didn't even know there was such a thing!!! She also set us up with everything else we needed and showed us how everything worked. She was a pleasure to work with and funny!The customer service was impeccable and we truly felt valued as customers. The rental price for a weekly rental is very inexpensive and you can do a daily rental if you like. I highly recommend Snorkel Bob's of Oahu and will be back in the future.

Sadly the day we come ( a Sunday) they were out of rentals! The workers were super informative and helpful, telling us which beaches we could and couldn't snorkel at that day. We'll be back again for rentals!

Snorkel Bob outfitted and supplied us with spear-fishing gear when our equipment was to arrive late due to airline issues. We booked a charter to Kaho'lawe on a volunteer mission to remove military munitions and debris from the island. We were able to decompress at night by working the reef, supplying fresh catch for our party. Thank you Bob for supplying us with bathymetric maps of the underwater topography of Kaho'lawe.

Here's what I love about snorkel Bobs...they are HONEST. I love honesty and kindness. We went today to get gear and they told us not to rent...ocean conditions are not favorable, jellyfish in the east, high seas in the north. They easily could've taken our money...nice to chat with them. We will be back! Will happily give them our business.

We were actually referred to Snorkel Bob's by a different rental place that didn't carry prescription masks. Snorkel Bob's did carry them and reserving snorkel sets online was nice and easy. It wasn't too far a walk/a cheap Uber from Waikiki. What was extra nice was the woman who helped make sure our kits fit was so wonderful. I have a leg brace and instead of being awkward, she was totally chill and made me feel really comfortable making sure I got the right equipment. Would definitely use them in the future.

Great service. They helped our family get fitted with masks and gear. The staff were kind and sweet. That helped us choose a great spot for snorkeling and it was a great suggestion.

By far the cheapest place to rent beach chairs. Every time we come to Oahu we rent from them!

We rented snorkeling gear from Snorkel Bob's for one day last week and really appreciated how helpful they were. We originally intended to rent for a few days but they told us to wait a day or two until there would be fewer jellyfish in the water. We saved some money and avoided any painful stings. It's rare to find such honesty!
