Slack Key Lounge

Located in Hawaiian Brians, this is the first lounge on the right after entering.It gives speakeasy vibes: tucked away, dark lighting, minimal local decor.There is a limited bar in the back of the lounge. Unfortunately no food options, not even finger foods or pupus. Seating is close together and the tables are narrow.In regards to the actual music, the sounds are average and the stage itself is small for a band. There is a semi private dressing room available as well.All-in-all this is just your average place to listen to music. When thinking of somewhere to go on a weekend night for live entertainment, especially in the Ala Moana area, this should be maybe fifth on your list.

Beautiful, newly renovated, intimate venue for great live music. Excellent acoustics. Very clean and comfortable seating. Lots of parking available onsite. Reasonable drink prices.

Saw Mindy Smokestack perform some jazz Christmas tunes and some original songs. Music was so good and she brought up some fellow performers that had the place going. The Bartender was very friendly and even came up with a special drink for my wife that she loved. Kalua pork sandwiches were so good my son had 2. Prices were reasonable and the staff was super accommodating. Will definitely go back.
