Aloha,Tara is a true professional photographer, knows how to handle the ohana, especially 1 year old!I am the type of person wanting & needing to reach out to 3 - 4 companies for information/inquires for services. Same as anyone wanting services for roofing, painting, solar and AC for their home.I reached out to 2-3 photographers, I advised wanting a photo shoot at a park, no beaches, yes I know we will in Hawaii but everyone does a beach photo.First photographer didn't even respond to my online, email requests. I even called the phone number listed, left a message, no call back.Second photographer confirmed will not be a good fit for my request due to only does nature photography, so only beaches, hmmm, last I checked parks with trees is nature!Final photographer, Sky & Reef Photography -Tara Morenfeld with all the information I requested for.Reserved a Sunday morning date, Tara was on time and ready to go. Worked with the 1year old first, while baby is in a good mood! Worked with each individual ohana then entire ohana.I highly recommend Sky & Reef photography Tara Morenfeld for your next photo session! Again Tara is a professional and keeps her word on how to work the ohana!

I honestly don't like to write reviews but I felt like this one was warranted. Tara is very kind, hospitable, and flexible. I appreciated she split our time with us between our actual wedding and before wedding shots. I understand everyone has "their own style" but some things were not about style. Granted, I know the Hawaiian sun is harsh, but as a photographer, you must understand lighting. The pre wedding photos we took down in the blowhole were good, but not great. None of the photos had any editing, and if there was any, I couldn't see where. She left nips in my dress there, and did not blur them. Horrible posing, and very few that I could actually show my family or friends. I was so embarrassed that as a woman she wouldn't understand modesty.Now, my wedding...there's the kicker. Half of my guests were facing the sun. She placed everyone in harsh sunlight, which created harsh shadows, and caused my guests eyes to be squinted or closed. I am not even a photographer, and I think I have enough common sense not to face people towards the sun. I don't understand why she did this. Very few photos I could use. I am having to learn photoshop because I am hoping to salvage some of these. I have so many harsh shadows and she washed everyone out, that I cant barely touch these up in Photoshop. Once the lighting is messed up, theres not much I can do to save the photo. She did not pay attention to detail and took pictures of us in a street where there were cars, street signs, ugly buildings, and structures in the background. I will never understand why she did this. I was really sad, It has taken me a year to return to my wedding photos and try to fix them. With so many tools in photoshop, even as a beginner, why not crop out the ugly telephone pole, street sign, or make the grass a little better?I live in Florida and this was our destination wedding. I paid her upfront and immediately, a year in advance (just about). The pictures she gave me look nothing like what I saw on her website or instagram. I was so disheartened. I am glad I did get a video from someone else. I paid so much less for an amazing video from someone else. If I could do it again, I would have paid someone else. It felt like she pointed and clicked with no rhyme or reason, and no retouching or editing was done of any kind. It's like she didn't care about what she was doing, or the quality of work. This was my wedding and almost all pictures have shadows, squinted faces, or eyes closed. Not acceptable for wedding photos. My friends and family's iPhone pictures actually turned out better. Please think long and hard, and really look before you pay someone for your wedding photos. You only have one wedding, don't hire a bad photographer who doesn't pay attention to details. Im sorry I have to leave this review, but its not okay to pay that amount of money for a once in a lifetime event for it to be so sloppy. Again, this is not an attack on her personally, but the work was just not there. you can see some of where I tried to fix attached. The before on the left hand side and the right the after. Mind you these are some of the best ones. There are way worse ones with harsh shadows and eyes.

Tara was so patience and nice. Our maternity pictures turned out beautiful! She definitely have a keen eye and is very talented. I highly recommend her for any type of photography.

I can't thank Tara enough for taking our family portraits while visiting Oahu. She recommended the perfect spot and was on time and so efficient. Our portraits are seriously picture perfect.

Tara is an amazing photographer and artist. She makes the photoshoot experience fun and comfortable while capturing both candid and uncandid shots. It was a fun day and also a great way to get introduced to some local areas of Hawaii!The communication process was easy via email with generally quick replies when she was not busy. Photoshoot was booked well in advance as well! Only thing I wished was the ability to create a pinterest board with some ideas but it was no biggie! There were a lot of photos my hubs and I loved!! Some of them even better than the ideas we originally wanted!Overall it was a great experience to look back to. She was able to capture the celebration of 7 years of marriage. These photos are great to look back to and are ones we will cherish for many many years. We were also very fortunate to have been able to book a time with her in the most busy season of the year. This review has been long overdue! We took a family trip last April for my in laws wedding anniversary. It was the perfect time to have professional pics taken of our families, as we would all be together. There was a handful of photographers on yelp, and I was drawn to Tara's work. Reaching out to her, she was very responsive, providing pricing packages and options along with available time slots. Because of the numerous beaches to shoot pics on the island, I asked her which was her favorite and she told me it was Waimanalo beach. We decided to shoot there. She gave us the options of doing sunrise or sunset pics, and we went with the sunrise pics. Our party of 19 made it happen- as we we got to the beach at 6:10am and was well worth it.Tara took beautiful pics of our entire family and everyone felt comfortable with her. She is personable, easy going, sweet and very patient- worked really well with all of us including the younger ones and our elder parents. All of us were more than happy with our pictures. Found Tara on Yelp, and she was very responsive. Showed her what we had in mind, and by viewing the photos we shared, she knew exactly what we were looking for.Tara made some great recommendations with regards to location, and was great with our girls. Our girls had the biggest smiles on their faces.During our shoot I was surprised about all the other people on the beach. I was even more surprised when we received our photos. What a magic show, Tara edited out the other bodies, leaving nothing but perfect photos of our family. Strongly recommend Tara if you're looking for a photographer in the area.

We booked with Tara for our family portraits and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Tara was incredibly communicative and approachable from the very beginning. She made us feel at ease during the shoot and adapted to our family's needs. All the photos she took turned out wonderfully and we're thrilled to have such a lovely memory to look back on. Tara is an artist! I found her on IG and her pictures are gorgeous!She is super quick with responding and when you decide to book with her, she sends you a list of places and relevant info to make your choice of photo shoot location easy. I knew nothing about the island so this was super helpful.When we finally met her, I found out she was from the same area we were in CA and an alumni of the same high school! Such a small world! She was so sweet. She helped with fixing our hair and posture. She really does know how to make you look good. Initially she said that we would get a sneak peek before 72 hours after the shoot and then the rest would come within two weeks. We got the sneak peek on time (love them), and fortunately she was able to give us the rest 3-4 days after the shoot. So quick and so many good shots. My family loved them! I'm so grateful to her for capturing my family so beautifully!
