I went into Signature Sweets three days before an event at my home for 200 guests. I decided not to bake and cook everything myself as I had guests staying at my house. I met James and he said, not only would he take my order, but he would customize the desserts on the spot with me. They were ready on time. They were perfect. They were delicious. They looked beautiful when I plated them. I spent less than if I had cooked and baked everything myself. And, best of all, I spent my time with my family. Thank you Signature Sweets. I know it was a busy time of year right after New Year's Eve. Our family and guests appreciated your attention to detail and amazing desserts!

If you like burnt wedding cake then signature sweets is the wedding cake caterer for you! I wanted to find a wedding cake caterer that was close to my reception venue (Leileihua Golf Course) so when I found signature sweets was in wahiawa i did some reading, his website said he had tons of experience. Here is his background thats is listed on his website...Chef James A Davidson was born and raised in a New Jersey suburb of New York City. He attended the prestigious "Culinary Institute of America" in Hyde Park New York and spent time at "Cordon Bleu" in Paris. After graduation he spent a couple of years in the kitchens of the East Coast then heard the call of The Islands". James moved to Hawaii in 1986 and perfected his pastry skills at the Hilton Hawaiian Village, Kahala Hilton and Royal Hawaiian Hotels. He was then asked to open the Black Orchid restaurant. Chef James then met Roy Yamaguchi. He opened Roy's Hawaii Kai then Roy's Park Bistro in Waikiki in 1991.In 1993 he struck out on his own and opened Signature Sweets Professional Shop. In 2001 James opened his second business, Jimmy's Lakeside Bakery Cafe, in historic Kemoo Farms in Wahiawa. He continues his passion for fine pastries and has added a savory catering line to his sweet offerings at Signature Sweets Catering and WholesaleAfter reading all of that I had alot of trust (big mistake) when we finally found this hidden place in wahiawa and met with James he spoke so highly of himself, his cakes and frosting. We ordered a 3 tier cake and sent him the picture shown, he spoke as if his cake would be way more beautiful. 4 days vefore our wedding day I called to give him our order for chicken we ordered and I asked if I could have a 2 teir cake in stead (to cut down cost) he told me No because my cake was already done. The pictures I uploaded were taken by my sister right after he dropped it off, it looked nothing like the picture I sent him and the cake was burnt!!! Luckily only my immediate family were served the cake and they immediately informed me that it was burnt and hard and not to serve it to anyone else. Here is the worst part of it all! I sent him text messages with pictures and asked him to give me a call and I left him 3 voice mails over the course of 2 weeks and he never ever tried to contact me! I am a very reasonable person, I wouldnt have asked for my $280 back, I probably would have asked for half of my money back. If my cake was done 4 days before my wedding wouldnt he have had lots of time to make a bew and not burnt one? Its been a year since my wedding and it still hurts me to think about this, I dont want any bride to have to go through this. Save yourself from this heartache and nightmare that I went through!!!!

I was 100% unsatisfied with this bakery. First off, after I had initially ordered the cake I tried to contact him for confirmation. I called him almost every day for a week with no response. The wedding was that weekend. I was very worried because another review said that they paid for their wedding cake and he never delivered it! He finally responded after a week of calls. When the cake came it was mediocre. The decorations were hand stenciled but looked messy. The cake had a jam filling which got poor reviews from my guests. For the price it was not worth it at all. Overall this was the only thing about my wedding I regret. If you care about the cake, do not get it from signature sweets in Wahiawa.

Not just a cake and desert shop, Chef Jimmy not only bakes signature sweet dishes and breads. He cooks excellent spiral hams, turkey,s and all your holiday favorites. For this Thanksgiving I had Chef Jimmy prepare me a turkey, a spiral ham, mash potatoes with gravy and an apple pie. This fed ten people and I had left overs all for $124.00. The ham just melted in your mouth and the apple pie with its sweet crumble, was just to die for. I call it sex on a plate. I am ordering Christmas dinner from him and you just pick it up on the day all ready and if you are lazy he will carve your meat for you to. All you have to do is ask. Also every Friday Chef Jimmy has a BBQ stand up at Keemoo Farms next to Aloha Scuba. He has full and half rack baby back pork ribs with Chef Jimmy's own special recipe sauce. They are truly excellent and well worth the eating. He also has his own smoked cranberry pork, which is out of this world as well as BBQ chicken which just falls off the bone. There is also roast beef as well as steak. Just go I highly recommend it
