Gorgeous location. We were invited by some friend to attend salsa night which also benefits Shriners hospital. They had many great performers and Arthur Murray dance school had some performers there teaching some steps and showing us some moves. The event was also catered by Sergs Mexican kitchen which served their tasty street tacos. The location is a beautiful spot in Waimanalo with the koolau as the backdrop and the a view that extends from the MCBH to Makapuu with turquoise water. The sun set right over olomana. Beautiful evening with beautiful friends.

GREAT FOR KIDS, LARGE PARTIES, WEDDINGS, SCHOOL FUNCTIONS!Awright let's get down to it. I don't really like going to the beach. It's just not my thing. BUT, once a year, I come here with a few hundred people and their little kiddies and I actually look forward to it!1. Large open grassy area, surrounded by concrete walls-Perfect for picnics!2. The kids love running around within the walls of this compound.3. You can throw a large bouncy house on the grass and still have lots of room for the kids to run around.4. Fully functional Kitchen.5. Hot and cold running water!6. BBQ area7. Large COVERED lanai area can fit several hundred people. Perfect for weddings/birthday luaus.8. Elevated stage in the lanai w/electrical outlets for entertainment.9. Bathrooms and SHOWERS WITH HOT/WARM WATER!! 10. The best little kiddie swim area is protected by the rocks and is absolutely perfect for not-so-great swimmers, the deepest it gets is about 5 feet towards the rocks:http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/NMk6F_d7pdiHqpWCJz5-bQ?select=6TsfB7Z3tP7AMhrfB2OA3w#26hHlj2sgdURpZaHIPIqagLOCATION: In Waimanalo, past Sea Life Park (if you're coming from Hawaii Kai), on the right side of the road. Street parking. You gotta know what to look for because it just looks like another house from the street, see David's picture:http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/NMk6F_d7pdiHqpWCJz5-bQ?select=6TsfB7Z3tP7AMhrfB2OA3w#6TsfB7Z3tP7AMhrfB2OA3wand for more info, go to their website: http://alohashriners.org/the-beach-club/

Time to PARTY.My friend recently hosted a birthday party for her daughter earlier this month. Though I was unfamiliar with the this venue in particular, as well as unsure of the location, I'm thankful other Yelpers were kind to post adequate info in their review. Thanks especially to Lori I. in helping me find my way.DETAILS:1. Spacious grassy area. Lots of room for kids to play OR to set up a bouncy castle/apparatus as my friend did on the day of the party. Concrete walls surround the property/grassy area as well.2. Beach access available.3. The covered lanai area can accommodate up to 400 people/guests (info provided by my friend). She also mentioned the hours this venue was available for their use was 8am to 5pm (the party was held on a Saturday).4. Parking is either in a small area in the compound (just as you drive thru the entrance) or on the roadside fronting the property or across the street. If parking across the street, please be mindful and careful of the oncoming traffic. On the day of the party there was a HPD officer helping to stop traffic for party-goers crossing the highway. Unfortunately, I don't know if my friend arranged separately for this service or if its provided in conjunction when having functions at the beach club. In any case, the officer was very HELPFUL indeed.I feel the best aspect or quality of this locale is the space allotted within the covered area and the large grassy lawn. Small or large parties/groups are easily accommodated, though parking may be a challenge for larger events. All told the party was enjoyed by all and I commended my friend for her choice of venue in celebrating her daughter's birthday. BOTTOM LINE: Party on! Great space/venue for hosting all types of parties.

**UPDATE**The Chairman of the Board from Shriners Hospital called and apologized on behalf of Shriners. He was very sincere and said the groundskeeper would be relieved of his duties as of the beginning of next year. He said it wasn't the first incident but would be the last. He also emphasized they are all about kids and clearly that man is not on the same page. While it was an unfortunate experience and wish it didn't happen to begin with, the call and swift action shows that Shriners puts Hawaii's children and the community first. Mahalo to ShrinersORIGINAL POST:If you have a chance to visit this place as a guest for free, by all means, go. The venue and facilities are great. As advertised. But if you're considering paying your hard earned dollars to rent for a special event, save it. We recently had our baby luau here. The venue comes with a contract with many rules, which is expected. What's not expected is an angry control freak drill sergeant of a groundskeeper who yells and berates you in front of guests, making a complete scene at every minor infraction.Due to yelp character limits I can't fully detail all that transpired. But I can assure you his behavior was beyond excessive. Yelling, demanding, getting in my personal space in the middle of the party. Completely inappropriate, unprofessional, threatening, and abusive. We did everything he and Shriners asked and complied in every way. Sure, there may have been some miscommunication and I wasn't able to control the actions of every single guest. But the issues at hand were truly minor (a little toddler water play on the grass and a guest parking where coned) and remedied immediately, as soon as it was brought to my attention. In the end no one was in harms way. Everyone was respectful. No one was rowdy. The grass was left untouched. Everything was clean and left the way it was found. His wife even commented on how clean the kitchen was when we finished.Whatever the problem, nothing was intentional and most definitely did not warrant such behavior. His reaction was so blatantly excessive, I had several people ask if I was ok after. What was supposed to be a fun happy occasion was spoiled. A first birthday is a major milestone for any family. The celebration we worked so hard for was ruined by one man's juvenile tantrums. You'll understand if/when you meet him. He may be friendly at first but you'll get the vibe. He definitely thinks that place is his castle, he's the King, and you're interrupting his Saturday. Not the kind of energy you want at any party.

What a treat! Our company rented Shriner's Beach Club out for the day and it was just fantastic! Huge open grass area, a very sufficient kitchen and BBQ are that was able to feed over 300 people. The best part was the beach was right there. It's a perfect place for your company to have an event here.Book it!

What a phenomenal venue! I highly recommend this property if you're in need of a facility with spectacular views, private beach access, kitchen, and hot showers; with all of the necessary amenities available in one location. With sweeping views of Rabbit Island and the entire Waimanalo Bay, there's nothing else like it.

Shriners Beach Club is a hidden spot passed Waimanalo Beach Park. It is usually open only to Shriner members and up to 12 guests on Sunday. The beach club is rented to the public as a beautiful venue on Saturdays. If you ever get the chance to go here, do not miss it! It's beautiful! Facilities: The beach house has a large covered venue with a stage. There is also a full kitchen. The bathrooms have hot showers and are cleaned regularly. We love coming here because they also have grills with propane available. I love the fact that I can go to this place and not have to worry about dragging down a grill or seating. That's right! They have chairs and tables too! There is a volleyball net and a large grassy area for any games, bouncy houses etc..The beach area is off to the side. There is a gate that takes you to these steps leading straight to the beach. (whoo!! perfect picture spot!) The Hawaii Shriners take pride of this place and they clean the beach house annually. They even move the rocks if they moved to keep the beach safe, like it's a pool! The water always looks clear. If you are looking for a venue with an outdoor setting, I recommend the Shriner's Beach House. I believe the profits go to the Shriner's Hospital for Children or its transportation fund for the patients. The pictures don't do it justice. You just have to see how pretty it is yourself ^_^*.

I've driven this stretch of Kalanianaole Highway for years and never knew the Shriners Beach Club was here. And we all know...every time we have guests visiting the 808 we always point out, "and oh...that's the Magnum P.I. house." Now we can also boast, "and that's the Shriners Beach House next to it."The GPS location is accurate and the beach club is through the patina'd iron gates. Park across the street from the gates and look twice (or three) before crossing. Once you enter you'll be immediately impressed with the expansive and manicured lawn. Then you're hit with the covered lanai area that immediately fronts to the ocean and a very well protected swim area (there are rocks that are strategically placed in the water to make for a safe lagoon-like feeling). And if that wasn't enough to impress you, there is the actual beach house itself that can fit upwards to a few hundred guests, stage, full operating, industrial kitchen, tables, chairs, gas grills, outdoor showers that spew out WARM water, clean bathrooms and just about everything you could ever need to host an outdoor/indoor oceanfront party!!This place is beautiful!! And the location....well, who wouldn't want an oceanfront venue with all the bells and whistles of convenience, amenities and perks?! And then, if that wasn't enough...once you're frolicking in the water look towards the house, you'll see the majestic mountain range flanking the highway and you'll get the sense of feeling "lucky we live Hawaii!!" I know what you're thinking: "how do I get to experience this?"1) Become a Shriner. To be one, ask one.2) Get invited by someone who is a Shriner (they can have up to 12 guests on specific days).3) Host an event - you don't have to be a Shriner to do this - this is a rentable venue (all revenue generated from event rentals go towards the Shriners' mission).Words alone don't do this place justice and so super glad this is one of the best kept places on island for all who are privileged to enjoy.

I was lucky enough to be invited to an event held at this gorgeous little beach front pavilion. It is a hidden spot passed Waimanalo Beach Park. The club has a pavilion with tables and chairs and a stage. It can easily fit 100 people. Adjacent to the pavilion is a big grass lawn. Our event has 2 big bouncy houses and set up with volleyball net and knuckle balls (person in a big balloon kicking a soccer). The place is well maintained with clean bathroom facility. It is also by the shoreline so once you step down the stairs, you are in the water. It is not much of a beach tho. The swim area is nicely secluded by stone walls so it is like a pool and it is relatively safe for kids to play and swim in. The area also provides an open shower area to rinse off. Parking is somewhat limited for a big event, but ample parking should be available on Kalanianaole Highway. Just be cautious if you park across the street for traffic coming from both sides.

Went there to attend a company picnic function. Facilities was very nice and well maintained with plenty of space under the roof as well as open lawn area. They had everything you need to cater to almost any size party. The kitchen and restrooms was clean and well maintained. The groundskeeper was very nice and helpful. The only drawback was the parking. We had a just over a hundred people in attendance and parking was very limited in the property and others had to park along the highway. Overall we were impressed with the facilities and area, we are even considering our next function to held here again.
