Shorefyre has two locations in Waikiki. This one was down the street from our hotel so we stopped in on our first day in Hawaii. The vibe at this location is super casual and beachy. Happy hour is 3-6 pm every day! We ordered the 4 for $38 special. The winners were the ceviche, popcorn shrimp, and hibachi steak. I didn't experience the restroom (shared with the surf shop next door) personally but my friend warned me not to go there.

We came here for casual drinks and dinner as it was about 10 minutes walking distance from our hotel (and Tiki's was closed for a holiday party). This was one of the recommendations we got from our waitress at Merriman's and it was definitely more lowkey than a lot of the places on the main strip of Waikiki. We liked how casual the vibe was and we opted to eat outside. We each ordered fruity Hawaiian cocktails (I got a blue Hawaii) and we ordered the pork and the fresh catch. The kalua pork was *chefs kiss* -- fatty, salty, rich... when you're in Hawaii, pork is always a solid choice and this sandwich at Shorefyre was no exception. The truffle fries were yummy, too.My mom really liked the fish from what I remember.Worth noting that the bathroom here is in a separate building in a back alley -- kinda sketchy, but not a deal breaker.Regarding price, there are less expensive places and more expensive places. For Waikiki, it's affordable.

I really wanted to like this place but the food left a bit to be desired. The corned beef hash was mostly potato, with very little corned beef. I would have preferred a smaller serving with fewer potatoes and more corned beef. The pancakes were tasty but dry. The service was friendly and attentive and the decor was very cute and island vibes.

I visited with my mom and sister for a sit down lunch after seeing this on Yelp. Food was so subpar. The waiter was very rude and actively acted like he didn't want to be there. I asked what kind of fish was in one of the dishes to double check ingredients, and the waiter sarcastically responded to read the menu. I have a food allergy and his response to my question was so unnerving. He never came to check on us afterwards and we had to flag him down multiple times to get extra ketchup and also to close out the bill. At the end of the meal, another person came to give us our check and he was super kind and approachable. We wish we had him as our designated server instead of the original server, lol! There was bird poop all over the outside tables and we had to ask them to wipe it down, since they seated us at a table, which hadn't been cleaned previously. Who does that?! totally got grossed out after this. We thought it would be a great meal since the vibes looked fun, but alas. I wouldn't recommend dining here, when you have so much better options available to you on the island.

We came here for breakfast and then AGAIN for dinner because we enjoyed it so much. And we will be back once or twice before we leave. The restaurant is upstairs on the third floor of the mall with the other restaurants. They have a large indoor and beautiful outdoor seating with a view. They have live music at night as well. Everyone has been incredibly friendly, we've had wonderful service. Chad the general manager is awesome. Our waiter Kenny was amazing as well! For breakfast I had the chicken and waffles. The batter and seasoning on the chicken was really good and Japanese style. To up it even more, I think they should add a slight spice and some sauce (light), this would honestly be one of my all time favorite dishes if so. I also had bacon and eggs, which were perfectly cooked. The eggs were exactly how I like them and the bacon was perfectly crispy but not burnt. My hubs got the eggs Benedict and was incredibly impressed. The Texas toast was also really crispy and buttery. When we came for dinner we had the loco moco, this is a MUST GET. This was absolutely phenomenal. We had it with the fried rice. The gravy was super savory and unique, it paired well with the meat and gravy. It was SO GOOD. We also had the macadamian nut mahi mahi which was tender and delicious. The sauce was light and did not over power the fish. All of the drinks have also been phenomenal. The dessert was great as well (the crème brule). Such a great find!!

I came here because I was craving nachos. I ordered the nachos with steak. It tasted okay. When I want nachos, I want it to taste decadent. These nachos tasted more healthy if that's even a thing. Our bad experience was our server. He was tied up flirting with other women at other tables he cared for. It was difficult to flag him down or anything because he would just stand there and chat up the customers about random things, and I was just there sitting listening when I was ready to place my order for nachos. I probably won't come here again due to my experience.
