Shark's Den Bar and Grill

This is a wonderful and surprising find! It's located in the Airport Honolulu Hotel and opens up to the poolside, which gives it a really delightful ambiance. The food was unexpectedly delicious and well-prepared with a care to detail. We had the traditional guacamole appetizer which fed my soul (I grew up in an avocado orchard). My daughter ordered the three tacos, which were delicious and filling. It was Saturday night, so my husband had the prime rib which was excellent, and I had the moules marinieres special which showcased how special this place is. They were steamed in a white wine sauce enhanced with fresh herbs (quite a bit of thyme) and bay leaf--as is often the case in the current food climate, it needed salt, but that was easily remedied. To make it even better there was a very good live band playing!. The place was packed (locals as well as travellers), and the tables were interactive with the music. As my daughter summarized "a really cool restaurant"!.

A decent meal opinion located right at your hotel, also near the pool too! We ordered breakfast as we didn't want to get up and leave the hotel, find parking and even possibly pay for it too. So Shark's Den it was! I ordered our meal from an iPad by the front entrance as I wanted it to go. That was super quick, I was also greeted to see if I wanted to be seated, which was nice. The restaurant looks clean and new, decor was super cute, tables and chairs look sturdy as well. I ordered pancakes, two eggs with different meats & house fries, then two orange juices. Our meal came out in a timely manner and had great taste. If I ever come back to this hotel, I would eat here at Shark's Den again.

My kids and I had lunch here and were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant was relatively empty on a Friday afternoon but our server was really great. She was attentive and friendly. Clean restaurant. Black and Bleu Burger was huge and fulfilling. The trio of tacos were a hit with my kids along with the truffle fries. Also offers many drink options if you're in it for some cocktails or a beer. A mellow spot to come and eat prior to heading to airport since it's located in the Airport Hotel, especially if you don't want to spend a lot of money on the limited food options at HNL airport.

Claudia was an amazing server! Service was fantastic and she was so sweet and kind. It was so nice to talk story with her. The guacamole is BOMB! We had the regular one, not the mango one, but it's definitely the best guac I've had in a while. I also had an açaí margarita that was delicious! I'm so glad my work booked us at a hotel with a good bar/restaurant, I'll definitely request to come back here again. Mahalo Claudia!

You can tell they don't care about the food here. Overpriced and over seasoned. Service was meh. Catching an uber to Chinatown next time
