Seed City

Located close to Macy's at Pearlridge I always walked by but never stepped in. A crack seed shop in my neighborhood ran out of their glass jar of seedless li hing cherry strips. I'm on the search for something similar but no luck so far.Besides preserved fruits they have lots of candy kiddies might enjoy. I chose li hing cherry and li hing ginger.I took the half pound ginger to the park today and gave half to my granddaughter. It's delicious.The employee was friendly and told me how long they've been in business.

Snacks galore...Unless you have some claustrophobic issues you can sure find some yummy treats here at Seed City.Perfectly named as there are jars and jars of yummy crack seeds filled with all our favorite cravings right in Pearlridge Center ground level right outside of Macy's though you can't miss this cute vibrant little nook with the classic Icee sign protruding out calling you to this oasis.Besides the usual M&M's you can find lots of asian and local favorite snacks along with drinks and Icee are found here the nostalgia is real here though is a tight navigating between different sections is real I usually get frustrated as folks are literally shopping not moving at all gets me outta here and take as a sign that I didn't need it lol!Thank you!

Strawberry icee with li hing mui juice is a must have when coming here! Lady at the counter was friendly. Ambiance is cute little shop in the between the stores, located right under the stairs.

Shopping for snacks at Pearlridge Mall...Located on the ground level of the Macy's wing, you'll find a kiosk named "Seed City" under the stairs. My friend was looking for wet Mango slices in a jar. It's those big containers filled with preserved fruit. The worker will scoop out some seed (such as li hing mui), place it in a package, and weigh it.Seed City also has pre-packaged snacks - great for gift giving!I'll have to come back after I find out if this is the kind of mango that my friend wants. I'm quite sure that this is the one!

I have so many memories of going to crackseed stores with my Grandma when I was younger. Seed City has been on the ground level of Pearlridge outside Macy's for as long as I can remember, but I've never been here with my Grandma.Anyway, I was doing my Christmas shopping this year (2022), and I'm really into buying unique gifts for each person I buy for. So this year, some people are getting Crack seed. Oh boy though! I didn't know nowadays it's almost $25/ pound! I don't know prices from when I was younger, but dang I was surprised! Either way, I don't mind paying thise prices to help keep a local small business alive and thriving.

Looking for your local Hawaii snacks? This is the place to go. Get your candy, pickled seeds, and pickled fruits.If it's hot out, you can get a icee, with toppings like li hing mui or Ice cream. So many options and so much variety! They have all kinds of things, Tylenol for headaches, band aids just in case. For me, it's their icee. It is the Best way to cool off on a hot summer day. The strawberry li hing mui icee is my go-to! Perfect amount of li hing mui.Here's a tip. Get your icee on your way out of the mall and BEAT THE HEAT! Especially after walking around the mall, its a definite must to stop by before you leave. This place is located at the Uptown side of Pearlridge Mall. You'll find it close to Macy's!

This place brings me back memories I use to come here when a was a small kid. Wow that's many years ago possibly over 40 years. Their also located the same place under the stairway of Pearlridge near Macy's. Hopefully it's the same owners because nowadays local businesses don't last especially now with this pandemic. My older sister always brought me to Pearlridge every Friday when she use to get paid and treat me to McDonald's for dinner and also bought me a toy .Now that I'm adult it's time for me to pay her back . I think next time I'm at Seed City I should buy my sister something to bring back memories. Keep on supporting local .

Located in an island of the mall in Phase I, by Macy's. I used to frequent here in the past. They have a new owner who bought it out about 8 months ago. They still have the same items and the quality is still awesome. Grace helped me with the Icee topping and read my mind before I could say it. She said, Yes, I do have Li Hing Mui Powder and Syrup. Wow, I'm thinking, she read me like I had that look of wanting more, lol.I had a medium Strawberry Icee with Li Hing Mui powder. She even put a real Li Hing Mui Seed on top. It hit the spot! It was so soothing and flavorful that 15 minutes later, I came back to order another one.This is my new go too place whenever I'm in the mall.

I love local candy stores like Seed City! I tried their pickled mango but the flavor wasn't my cup of tea. I know next time not to get it there.I love their li hing mui gummy worms. They use the sour crawlers that look like the Trolli gummies and it mixed with the li hing mui powder, it makes it so tasty and addicting! I am also a big fan of their strawberry icee with li hing mui juice. The first couple sips are so sour because of the juice but when it has a chance to mix in with the icee, the flavor is perfect. This is a favorite of my bf and I.Another thing I like getting from there is their cola & strawberry icee mixed in a cup. Another nostalgic flavor from when I was younger. When used to go to the local crack seed store across the street from my elementary school.The people who work there are really nice. I like the young man who always works there. He's always in a good mood, makes good conversation and is very well mannered.Although this place is really small. Their icees are spectacular and customer service is excellent!

As you enter this little shop, you get transported to your childhood. There's seed jars, various types of candies and an icee machine. My order today was two icees, one with lihing mui juice and powder and other with ice cream, chocolate gummy bears, fun dip and yan yans. The icee here is probably the best, don't know what they do but it's soft, sweet and juicy/slushy. The flavor lasts until the last sip. The service was great as usual and the treats hit the spot while walking through the mall.
