Great craft fair and Holiday shopping! Found some real odd and unique items that can't be found on the island! It's also a great one spot shopping for the specialty island snacks that come out during the Holiday season. This is definitely 2 thumbs up for Holiday shopping!

Debbie K.I use to be a Vendor at Season's Best Craft Fair. I was always very happy with how Linda cared and took care of all her Vendors. She always excellent at advertising. We always had a good turnout. We had so much fun with customers and other Vendors. Season's Best Craft Fair is the BEST. Thank you Linda.

The vendors here are amazing and I have no complaints at all about them. The only reason I am giving this a 1 star (if I could give a 0, I would) is because the individuals who run this craft fair are terrible. I had a chance of interacting with the owners husband, Greg and he is one of the most unprofessional individuals I have ever met. He is demeaning, uses unprofessional language and he is completely disrespectful. I witnessed an incident last night while I was at a booth and the way Greg handled the situation floored me. He should not be allowed to interact with consumers. If he can't handle stressful situations, he should step back and let his wife handle the event. Another complaint I have is the security they hired. I witnessed one of the security guards swearing at and threatening a customer. To me, that is uncalled for. When I asked who she was they stated that she was the owner of the security company, I believe her name is Lenora or Leonora. She kept telling the customer that she was going to "beat her" and to me, you don't act that way. If they continue this way, I won't be coming back, and I'll make sure to report this to BBB.

There are two Season's Best Craft & Gift fairs annually at the Blaisdell Exhibition Hall; one in October and the other one in December. Attended both fairs this year to do some of my holiday shopping! This is a great option for holiday shoppers especially if the shopping mall isn't for you! Various local vendors offering a multitude of items including holiday crafts and items, foods, clothing, artworks, beauty, health and wellness, handmade items, gift baskets, jewelry, footwear, accessories, collectibles, sports accessories, and pet items. Admission is $3 or search for $1 off admission coupons online or in the Midweek.

I've been coming to this craft fair every year at least once - either when they have it on Black Friday weekend or again in December - for some years now, almost as religiously as the Made In Hawaii Festival, which it's very similar to. There are a lot of vendors - snacks/foods, locally-made island jewelry, bags/clutches, baby stuff, unique finds, intricate crafts! There's a lot to look at. It's very crowded and sometimes the crowd blocks you from a passing glance of what the booth/vendor is selling. You can pretty much tell more or less what they're selling, but you might miss a good look from the crowd blocking as you pass. Also, some booths are small, so it's hard to make your way in and move about the booth when there are other people looking in that booth too. I do love the food area! A lot of the locally-made snack vendors offer samples and offer deals (1 for $6 or 2 for $10 - that kind of thing). There's dressings, sauces, dessert snacks, cookies, ready-to-eat foods, cooking oils/spices - a lot of neat things to make a holiday gift basket with or just a gift basket for any occasion. I think the admission is way too high though. It's now $7 this year. I think it's gone up over the years. I think the most they should be charging is $5 especially when the parking is $8. That's already $15 you're being charged to shop/spend more. As a tip, I would say bring cash and use it on vendors who don't take card. Use your card on those vendors who accept card, which a lot do. Also, don't forget a reusable shopping bag and a pen to enter the drawing at the front entrance. One year I actually won $100...so it's worth filling out the entry form; but this year, there were no pens/pencils by the submission box and slips to fill out, so we didn't get to submit any entries. :(

It's coming soon. The day children from all over the world wait for is just around the corner. All the stores look forward to the stampede. When I hear craft fair, Christmas bells starts to ring. The Season's Best Craft and Gift Fair is an annual event. It's a nice place to start when you thinking about Christmas gifts. It's never too early to start buying gifts. Vendors from all over the state come out to sell their hand-crafted and specialty items. There's dip, beef jerky, cookies, jewelry, shirts, key chains, cell phone charms, earrings, bedding, and many more items that were just introduced to me for the first time. I was very tempted to buy a tub of beef jerky, but it was way too expensive for me. Beef jerky is always a good snack. I also love the pillows and blankets that vendors make themselves. These items always seem sooo beautiful and homey. I am a sucker for earrings. Whenever I go to craft fairs, I am almost always coming out with at least a pair of earrings. At this craft fair, I came out with 16 pairs of earrings. Don't worry! It's not all for me. Well, I actually haven't decided it. Make sure you mark your calendar for next year. The Season's Best Craft and Gift Fair also make an appearance at Aliiolani Elementary School in Kaimuki and Aiea Elementary School in November and December.

There are two big local events I like at the Neal Blaisdell: the Made in Hawaii Festival and the Season's Best Craft and Gift Fair. Why you ask? Well, 1) I like to stay local. As I mentioned in my Made in Hawaii Festival review (http://www.yelp.com/biz/made-in-hawaii-festival-honolulu-2?hrid=4jV_sFJK3SZRAAY7tq88GA), there is no place on Earth like Hawaii. The crafts (like the jewelry, soaps, shirts, etc.) and the food (like the cookies, sauces, snacks, etc.) are out of this world. But the other reason I REALLY like the Season's Best Fair: 2) I can start and finish my Christmas shopping in one spot. Literally. Just like the Made in Hawaii Festival, the Season's Best showcases the amazing talent of crafters we have here in Hawaii. For me, the discovery of amazing new boutiques or local jewelry makers is literally worth the measily three dollars for admission. This past weekend at the Fair, I discovered Jana of Blue Bird Jewelry Hawaii. She includes a lot of gems in her collection and she does on-the-spot requests. That, my friends, is not something that cannot be done for you at mainland-run big brand jewelry companies. Jana's jewelry is made with TLC. Looking for gifts or omiyage for family on the mainland for the holidays? There is no better spot than at Season's Best. Since the craft fair is in October, there isn't a better time to get your holiday booty in the swing of things. Probably not a good idea to get food omiyage (afterall, October is still a couple of months from Xmas), but you can go cray cray on gifts like jewelry (there were crazy sales and discounts), clothing & accessories, or knick knacks (like island-made soaps and candles). I could go on and on about the array of local vendors that we can choose from at Season's Best, but, frankly, you just have to hit up the craft fair on your own. So it's worth a visit during the month of October - your wallet and our fab local vendors will thank you.

I make it a point to go to this Craft Fair every year. I try to do all of my christmas shopping at Craft Fairs rather than the malls so I feel like I'm giving a little back to the community. This craft fair has it all and seems to get bigger each year. I hit the food booths last so that I don't have too much to carry while walking around.
