Watabe's renovations to the Crystal Chapel revamped the look of the Chapel. They allowed us to used the chapel for rehearsals for almost 2 hours. They provide a piano and radio system/ speakers to play entrance music.

Our March wedding was beautiful and everything we wished for . Small , intimate and hassle free. Initially apprehensive when we learned that the Akala chapel at the Hilton Waikiki was being managed by a third party and that our arrangements were with them and not directly with Hilton . Even more nervous after we sent off our deposit to a company we dealt with primarily only through email. Though when the big day came, we were more than satisfied with how everything came together. Our assigned wedding planner , Ayako, was organized and prompt. The makeup artist and photographer were professional and well worth the small upgrade. The facility and chapel were beautiful and well maintained. Every time I come across our wedding photos from that day, it puts a smile on my face. I highly recommend Watabe weddings for anyone with a very busy schedule. You log in, you choose your package ..you show up. Five stars .

From start to finish, Watabe handled our wedding perfectly and my wife and I could not have been happier! Everything turned out even better than we imagined it.Despite the fact that I don't know any Japanese, it was never a factor or a problem in the planning. Akira and, later on, Ayako, were excellent, patient and always polite in walking us through all the steps we needed to take, providing us with information not even related to the ceremony and reception.The day of our wedding, we had staff ready and waiting for our every need, with Ayako present and helping with any small detail. We even made a mistake with a menu need (vegetarian) and our MC, Yuko, who was also fantastic and energetic, let us know our chef would have tofu brought in immediately, which we felt was above and beyond. Things like this happened all day and always with a smile.We just could not be happier with how everything turned out at Ko Olina Chapel Place of Joy (which was a vision of beauty itself) and we happily recommend Watabe to anyone getting married, whether they're Japanese or not. Thank you to everyone at Watabe for making our day wonderful!

Our wedding was in May 2014 and our wedding planner Ayako T was very professional, friendly and helpful. We emailed back and forth since we are out of state (I had long listed questions). She answered every question in detail and quoted me with different price options. On our wedding day I felt like a princess. My makeup artist Ayako was very detail oriented and she would fix my make up and hair before almost every picture was taken. She even provided make up for my husband without us asking. Our wedding planner Ayako T would help us with posture and attire before the pictures were taken. They try to make every picture come out as perfect as possible. I highly recommend them. Thank you for both Ayakos who made our day so perfect and stress free.

We had a wonderful time at Hawaii with our wedding at Chapel of Joy! We chose the 3 hours around noontime package. Great Service! Covered all details. Extraordinary helpful staff, the whole ceremony went beyond our expectation! It is perfect!

Yelp 100 Review Challenge 2015: 77/100I was specifically interested in the Aquaveil Chapel for my wedding ceremony. Please be aware that the packages are NOT flexible as stated in this article:http://the.honoluluadvertiser.com/article/2002/Apr/16/il/il01a.html After discussing the ceremony with the staff at the Kalakaua office location (no validated parking!) I put down a deposit of $100, they call a "set-up fee". The following day I received an email stating that the limo ride which is included in the package from Waikiki to KoOlina could not take us from Pearl City to Ko Olina instead which didn't make sense, since it's an even shorter distance?! If we wanted them to drive us from Pearl City to Ko Olina, it would be $220 additional to the package. If we did not want the limo ride all together they would not compensate us for not utilizing this service, we would still pay the full package price. Next there is a $500 outside vendor fee to use your own photographers, unless you utilize their photographer package which starts at $1,200. Because of all these "additional fees" and inflexibility of their packages we cancelled our ceremony reservation 48 hours after meeting with them and they do not issue refunds as the "$100 deposit" is nonrefundable even for only 48 hours. So, make sure you know ALL the package options before you deposit any money to this company. The most beautiful place to say I do with the most helpful team. The only thing better than the views is the team that brings it all together for you. From the first time we reached out to the team they were helpful and responsive. They answered every question we had and guided us through the process. The team is super communicative and efficient. Our wedding day was absolutely perfect. Have to give a shoutout to Christine, who constantly made sure everything was perfect for us throughout the day and especially during the ceremony. She is a perfect person with a beautiful heart who genuinely cares about the couples getting married at their venues. I cannot say enough good things about this place and the team. We had our wedding at the Akala Chapel two weeks ago, and we had a fantastic experience! Everyone was super nice and made us feel confident that we would be taken care of on the day of our wedding. The chapel was absolutely beautiful, and the team running the venue worked very collaboratively with our day-of coordinator to ensure that everything went smoothly for our big day. Junko did a great job making sure that we had everything we needed and even accommodated us to wait in the bridal chamber so that the we wouldn't see each other before the ceremony! I highly recommend the Akala Chapel for a special day!

We used Watabe Wedding to help us with celebrating shichi go san for our son. Everybody from the initial contact to the end were very friendly and very helpful.The person helping my son with his hakama was very friendly and patient helping my three year old son. The photographer was also very friendly and patient in taking pictures. They were all on time and made us feel very comfortable throughout the whole process.
