Did you know that some military bases have thrift stores? Yeah, me neither. I was staying with friends on base and they told me about this place. Funky hours besides, this place is truly a hidden gem! Very well organized with a hefty selection of women's and men's items, they offer competitive prices and have a special selection of "just in" and "new with tags" clothing. I've found Lilly Pulitzer, Athleta, Patagonia and more. Card only and no returns.

Lots of good deals. Cheaper than other thrift stores on island. Clothes seem to be in better condition than most thrift stores.

Hours: Tuesdays and Thursdays 9:00 - 13:00, and First and Third Saturdays of the month!Synopsis: This is the best thrift store on the island. I highly recommend that you come here, if you can. The only barriers include having access, and limited times this place is open. I can only imagine what type of things are offered as a volunteer. Definitely first pick of the batch!Environment: This place is ghetto! I won't lie. The outside is uber unwelcoming, A shed-like place that looked like it was used for storage with rusted roof-top. Inside, it has a distinct smell that will probably make you sneeze. Dimmed lights. COLD AC! X_XPeople: They are all volunteers. Bless their hearts. They just work for fun. Probably why the hours are very limited. Goods: This is what I found here: Billabong Pants (2), shirts (5), Van Hussen blazer jackets, ties, and other items for at the max 1 dollar!! 1 DOLLAR! Are you serious??? I am ALLLLLL about that. Seriously, alll about that. And some of the clothes I got are in good condition. It appears to have been worn only once, or twice. There are more things here as well: DVDs, house-wear, beds, books, and more. If you go to the website you can find deals. Like serious deals!!!At times, there were moments where you can get a plastic bag and fill it up with books, to cost you only a DOLLAR! A DOLLAR!Cost: As mentioned before CHEAP beyond your wildest dreams! If you use card, they require a $5 minimum requirement.Parking: Prolific. If you can't find it right in front, people just park on the grass.....yea! That's how many people come here!

I love thrift stores. I love the thrill of the hunt, the belief that I will find treasure among the trash. It is so nice when the belief becomes a reality! The Hui O`Na Wahine thrift shop is a bit off the beaten path. It is tucked down a back alley on Schofield Barracks, between the ACS building and the Outdoor Rec building. I can never remember the hours, but the parking lot is easily visible from the main road, so when I see full lot I know that they are open.Sadly, I've never struck gold at this shop. I have made a few happy purchases over the years, and have donated things, as well. The thrift store carried consignment goods for members of the community that might like to see a bit of money back on their well loved items, and all of the proceeds from the store are used by the Hui in their various social projects.Worth a visit if you are already on base, and feel like hunting for treasure!

LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PLACE! It is a bit smaller than the Hickam location, but it still is pretty nice. The staff is friendly, great atmosphere, and a wonderful use of space! Things look a little hectic when you first walk through the door (I was a little overwhelmed at first), but then as you walk through you can see that there is a pattern to everything laid out. The prices are great! Especially for used items - and a lot of them are in great condition as well. I say that everyone should at least give this place a look. Sometimes they carry some really neat items in here (mainly decor) that are really worth purchasing.

Note that this is on an army base and is nearly impossible to get to. We couldn't get to the actual store because its a pain to get in. Don't try to come here unless you have time to burn.
