Flying saucers have been spotted above Kaimuki Friday night. Sloppy Joe saucers, so prepare your stomach for an invasion of tastiness.

I've always knew Flying Saucer exists!!This cool take on the grilled sammie with a twist is the UFO (uniquely fun obsession) in disguise. I've seen Saucer King pop up here and there and have finally got a hold of them at the Night Market at Pearl Country Club and ooohhh it's absolutely out of this world!!Their Classic is filled with (beef, tomato base, corn, onion and American cheese) encased in buttered white bread which is then toasted hot and crispy, it's a fun and yummy snack that's totally portable to munch on. It's sold $6 each or 3 for $15 that makes it a great deal to take some home though there's no mention of reheat suggestions but I'm sure simple toast in the toaster oven will do just fine.Tonight besides the Classic they had "Chopped Cheese-Burger" which includes (Beef, pickles, American cheese, sriracha-mayo) I don't really like pickles so I passed on that obviously but hope to see some other filling besides beef maybe a veggie or sweet option in the future would make me love this Kaui & Maui Flying Saucers to the moon and back.Thank you!

What a fun and simple idea that makes eating fun and easy! It's a crispy circular pressed toasted hand held treat!I was at the Food event at Ali'iolani Elementary school this Friday and my husband became fixated for the SLOPPY JOE aspect! So we went back and got 3 of them for $13! Mild, well filled with sloppy joe meat and corn. Wonderfully crispy outside. We had one extra and saved it to toast later and it was still delicious!Fun snack!

Flying saucer or UFO. An iconic festival, fair, carnie food of Maui and Kauai from decades past that we on Oahu seem to know nothing about. A government cover up? Are UFO's real?Ground beef, tomato sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, corn and cheese sandwiched in bread and grill-pressed. Crispy on the outside, molten, gooey and all kinds of tasty on the inside.Utterly simple. Totally satisfying.$5 ea or three for $13. An Impossible meat version also on offer for $6. Cash or card.Follow their official IG for locations (farmers markets, food truck rallys, swap meet and other pop-ups) and hours.Out of this world? Not really. A taste of the past, definitely.

Went to the KCC Open Market and was so excited to see someone selling Flying Saucers. If you grew up on Kauai or Maui you know they only have this item during the Bon Dance Season. I'm always looking for this item at fairs and Oahu Bon Dance but no one sells this item. The Company Saucer King got the recipe to the T!!! The taste was like the recipe on Kauai, but they surprise you with corn inside. It has the crunch and it's full of hamburger, onion, cheese and special sauce. They sell it, 3 Flying Saucer for $15.00 or one for $6.00. They use large pieces of bread, stuffed with hamburger and the finish product is over 4". Checked out Yelp and found the have a place in Liliha. Go check it out if you're craving for flying saucers. It's worth the price.

I got to try the Saucer King sloppy joe at the Kaimuki Friday night food and craft fair, which is being held every Friday from 5-9pm at Ali'iolani Elementary School. Tasty meat sauce with corn and cheese, folded into two slices of bread and iron pressed into a yummy UFO shaped snack that satisfies! I ordered the 3 for $13 deal and ate two right away. It's slightly messy if you don't eat it carefully (it IS called a SLOPPY joe!). I saved one for later and it heated up great in a toaster oven.

I actually ordered online through Yelp/grub hub app. Waited 30 minute time frame for the restaurant to confirm but it never happened. Called grub hub and was told that it needed to be cancelled. Obviously info on Yelp was I correct and needs to be updated. So looking forward to trying flying saucer.

Very good snack. The original tastes like a sloppy joe empanada. Would definitely come back for the three pack. Got to one of their locations (Aloha Stadium) around 1-1:30pm and they weren't sold out. Had to check their IG for their location details. The saucer was fresh off the pressed but wasn't too piping hot; so I was able to eat it immediately. Worth it.

Awesome blast from my past. We made these over camp fires back in the early 90's. The sloppy Joe saucer was super tasty and quite filling. Keep up the great work. We'll see you next time.
