Great and quick spot to grab poke bowls and hand rolls on the go!Hungry? Why wait at those huge tourist lines for food that's mid. Poke is a must indulge during your visit in Hawaii. And the locals wouldn't doubt it. Sato was on point with their poke bowls. The fish here was so fresh--you get that buttery goodness while eating the fish. Located right on Kuhio nearby Marugame Udon with the long lines. Skip that line, support the little shop, and get a poke bowl. Cheers

Food? Normally I would have ordered Shoyu Ginger Ahi or Limu Limu Salmon, but because of the reviews, I went with the Macadamia Aburi Salmon. Other reviewers were right! The textural difference, as well as the flavor of the torched salmon versus the raw salmon underneath was fantastic! Loved the seasoning of the mayo of which there was a perfect amount. The cubes of salmon were too small for my taste. They didn't skimp on the nuts! The photos show a takeout clamshell container with a pale beige mess. First, be aware that this is not a dinner plate sized container. It's a bread plate sized container. Second, it does look like a mess but it tastes great. A fresh green garnish after it was torched would have made it look so much better. Service? Usually, there is a line, but it goes very quickly. You get your order quickly, too.Ambiance? None, really. It's very clean, and has a couple of tables, but plan on taking it to go. I really liked the quality of the fish and the flavorings they used. It was delicious, but I was disappointed with the serving size. Still, I will go back!

I'm always on the lookout for Sato Seafood whenever we're at a farmers' market or food truck meetup. Their handrolls are a go-to for me--quick, easy, and packed with flavor. The service is consistently friendly, and even during busy times, the wait is never too long.My absolute favorite is their salmon aburi bowl. The addition of macadamia nuts adds a great crunch, and the freshly torched salmon releases those rich, buttery fats that make every bite irresistible. It's a perfect balance of textures and flavors that feels both comforting and elevated. When I'm in the mood for something handheld, their handrolls are a must. I'm a big fan of yuzu, so the yuzu ahi and yuzu salmon rolls are always at the top of my list. The yuzu ahi has a nostalgic twist with its elevated take on canned tuna, while the fresh salmon yuzu handroll is just as bright and delicious as you'd hope. Paired with their efficient and friendly service Sato Seafood always delivers the ono grinds.

Ordered their hand rolls and they were good. I haven't tried their bowls yet, but they appeared good also. Will need to give the bowls a try next time. The fish tasted fresh also. The rice wasn't overpowering either, and it was seasoned. Some places overdo it with the rice without much flavor, so I was glad this place didn't do that. The staff were nice as well. You can see staff making everything on the spot. Small space inside, but 3 tables outside to sit around if you need.

Located right across the street from The Laylow hotel and next to the Marugame, Sato Seafood is in a very convenient location! I went there for lunch, and there's a wide variety of poke and hand rolls to choose from. There's no seating, so your orders will be for to go. I was served to order, and for the most part, I enjoyed the food! The shoyu ahi was just a little too salty for me, however.

Finally got to try them after seeing them at food truck events.Got the Aburi Salmon poke bowl consisting of Salmon which is torched melting some of the fat and topped with mayo Mac nuts and little ikura arare for that crunch.Handrolls are also really good. Prices are fair for fresh quality auction ahi and expertly cut fish. Can't wait to try something else from them!

So yummy! This was one of my favorite poke places in waikiki. I got the tuna poke and it came with fried garlic on top. The service was fast and we only had to wait a few minutes to prepare.

I went to the Kakaako Farmer Market and wanted to try Sato Seafood poke bowls. They also have a store in Waikiki around the same area as Matcha Maiko. Their stand at the farmer market is on the Ewa side tucked further down toward the road. The stand served poke bowls and hand rolls. Macadamia aburi salmon: A unique poke bowl. Very "Hawaiian" theme with the use of macadamia nuts. I love Aburi salmon and this was very good. The salmon was fresh with a slight torched taste. The macadamia nuts were crunchy and there were a generous amount of them. Hawaiian munchies: Another unique take to the spicy ahi bowl. Their spicy sauce was pretty good. The crunchy bits reminds me of rice crispy. The bowl has different textures which were pretty interesting. It was a good poke bowl. But if you have to try one, I recommend the Aburi salmon. Overall, Sato Seafood is in my top 3 of places to get a poke bowl. Good fresh seafood with an interesting combo of ingredients.
